After update to 115.2.1, FF crashes at startup for one User, but not the other. FF Safe Mode also crashes (SHIFT key). I tried running the 115.2.1 install on the problem User, but it also crashes right after completion. The second user is handicapped, so I have yet to try to uninstall/reinstall because FF runs on her User and I hate to screw things up so that she is locked out.

• • • JUST NOTED - Chrome also crashes with same NTDLL error (same DLL version number). Did the FF update do something with the NTDLL file?

on debian 12 linux

I tried `firefox` `firefox-esr` `thunderbird``firefox -P`. I also deleted `~/.mozilla`, `firefox -p presaved-profile-dir` stay the same.

the `firefox binary` and the `profile dir` are all useful because I saved them to zip file and use them every day. So is there any other dir besides the 2 dir which fails the startup? even thunderbird fail with the same reason.

As I use Firefox throughout the day, webpages will just stop for a bit. Sometimes its only a few seconds, other times for a few minutes. It is most noticeable when playing videos but does happen at other times as well. During the halt, I can still access Firefox's settings and all menu items. It is just website interactions that stop.

For example, when a halt occurs on youtube, the video will eventually stop, depending on the buffer, and scrolling through the comments won't pull up any more and replies won't load. Then after a few moments, everything will start working again without issue, and all the uncompleted actions (such as opening new replies or trying to go to another page) will execute.

I used to think it was related to my computer's connection to our company's access server, but refreshing my connection through a CMD ipconfig /renewall worked so rarely that I assume it was just coincidental timing.

I also tried turning off hardware acceleration, but that had no positive effect. I'll make a separate post about that issue.

The thing that fixes it every time is odd: launching Chrome. I wanted to make sure it was just Firefox, so I tried launching Chrome, and then Firefox started working immediately. (Spotify still plays when Firefox halts too)

Is there anything I can adjust to keep this halting from happening? I can manage right now, but it is sort of annoying to launch Chrome every time.

I have A LOT of problems with FF since the last couples of updates. It started around two months ago and after one of the updates (and FF has constant updates which is pretty annoying) the browser immediately starting getting really slow and buggy. The browser keeps crashing constantly, is slow, loading websites end in "network cannot be found" notices and you need to reload pages all the time to get them to load, videos play in the background by themselves on saved tabs without being activated or started.... The redesign of the menu some time back, btw, have gone to worse as it's now more difficult to find the active tab than before.

I've followed all instructions to try and resolve it and nothing works. I have no virus or downloads on the system so this is not the cause. Plugins activated or not activated makes no difference. Changing settings in FF to whatever suggested makes no difference, using about: to change settings makes no difference.

The browser has really turned almost unusable.

My Firefox tab crashes often. I eventually need to reboot Firefox. My Windows 11 patches is always up to date and I did system checkups often. I cleared cache files too.

I have been running into an issue any time that I try to open Firefox, I recive a pop up stating "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

I have tried all of the suggestions noted within the Mozilla support and documentation.

I am running Windows 11 and was using my machine normally. I cleared the cache within Firefox under the settings and was able to use the browser for 20 more minutes without any issue. I tried to open a second Firefox window and received the Profile Missing error. From here I closed out instance of Firefox which I had open and tried to open up Firefox again. I was greeted with the same "Profile Missing" error.

When I navigate to the location of the Firefox profile (%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\) there exists a profiles.ini file along with a "Profiles" folder.

I have tried deleting the profiles.ini file, as the Mozilla documentation says that doing so will cause Firefox to generate a new profile, however after doing so I continue to receive the "Profile Missing" error.

I am unable to access the Profile Manager within Firefox to make changes to a profile or create a new one as stated within the Mozilla documentation, due to the application being blocked by the "Profile Missing" error causing the browser not to open.

I have random Tab crashes in Firefox when running UI tests with TestComplete. TestComplete proviedes a dmp file. After analyzing with WinDbgPreview it provides an error with the xul.dll:

After Windows11 last udates, audio disabled in only the Firfox browser (such as when using Youtube and all other audio included sites) while audio working properly in Microsoft internet browser and in rest of my PC apps, I tried many ways including update firefoxB , tweaking windows11 but all with no result.

Ever since switching to Windows 11 I've had an issue with Firefox. Any time I copy something in Firefox, be it image, article text, or even a url from the address bar, I cannot paste it anywhere, and my copy and paste stops working. The only way to fix it is to close Firefox, and then run rdpclip.exe as an administrator. I've confirmed the issue only occurs if I try copying from Firefox, as it doesn't happen in Edge.

Does anyone know what might be causing this. It's very frustrating.

1. Drop down to select the question. In search engines, when entering text, there is usually a text prompt to choose from, but I cannot select it 2. Verification code issue. The verification code usually swipes to the right after input, but cannot be moved at all! 3. Video acceleration issues. On video websites, it used to be possible to right-click to indicate video fast forward, but now there is no response after operation

When printing emails, the content in the preview pane comes up with empty spaces and won't show the actual content of the email to be printed. A simple one page turns into three pages. I have tried other browsers to narrow it down to a Firefox issue. I have tried all the "fixes" in the community that I have found and still nothing works. I have cleared my printer default about:support page as well. Please help! Attached is are three pictures. The first is a Fedex page I am trying to print. The second is the print preview that comes up with the first two pages showing how the content separates.

Having used Firefox for some time, I installed it on a new PC, and found that virtually all my emails on a particular account seem to have been deleted, despite the app being set up to retain them. I checked on the webmail (BT) and they have gone. The account is set up as IMAP - as is another account on the same server, which seems OK. BT won't engage with me on this as they "don't support third party apps" I assume that 3 years worth of important client history is gone for ever? Can anyone suggest what I did wrong, or is this a software failure?

Using Firefox 117.0.1 on Windows 10, whenever I try to download a file (eg right-clicking an image, 'Save image as...') or upload a file (eg a photo to Facebook or a PDF to Cloudconvert), Firefox completely freezes (greys out) and no matter how long I wait this doesn't resolve. In the end I have to click the red X icon at top right, completely shut down the programme, then re-open it. And it continues to be impossible to upload or download.

Basically as the title says. The only sites this is an exception for is youtube as well as big streaming services but on youtube the video seems like it takes longer to buffer and has a lot more pauses.

I am on Version 117.0.1 which was installed on September 12th for me. I did not notice any issues prior.

I am on a macbook air which is updated to latest software.

I have tried the following:

Running it in troubleshoot mode. It did not fix the issue.

Turning on/off autoplay. It didn't work.

Clearing cookies/cache. Nothing.

Started firefox without a theme. Didn't do anything.

I unchecked "Use hardware acceleration when available." which did nothing.

The about:support page under Media section is showing incorrect values for available decoding capabilities. My GPU is MSI GTX 970 and it doesn't support VP9 and VP8 decoding. I verified it by analysing video engine usage. My OS is W11

I bought a new computer a few months ago, and almost instantly I noticed that video playback had a problem. I installed Firefox, but if I replayed a video, the audio was noticeably off from the video. The problem is resolved if I tug on the progress bar, but any playback on Youtube is affected. I do not have any extensions on this browser, and the problem does not present if I use Edge, or the sort. I can not say if playback is affected on other websites, as I do not have that much need of my computer beyond the basics. I would rather not change browsers, but I have not discovered any suggestions of related problems that relate to my computer.

The right pane on google drive is not loading on firefox. It says "Couldn't load, Try again". Dev tools show the error "NS_ERROR_INTERCEPTION_FAILED".

If i clean the data and cookies for the website it starts working but not for long. Last time i did it i lasted like 5 minutes. Turning off all the extensions doesn't help.

I'm logged in on several google accounts, don't know if that matters.
