At random, whenever use a search box on a page, Firefox will lock up. The "loading" icon on the tab will animate as normal, but the entire window won't respond. If I press the show desktop button and then try to reveal Firefox, none of the windows will appear. I'd have to go into Windows Task Manager and be lucky enough to terminate the correct process containing the tab, or else I'd have to start all over again.

Hello Firefox!

I am a developer who is developing a web application using react. I made a data visualization flowchart that renders large number of nodes (around 1000 nodes) on Firefox.

Problem occurs whenever I zoom in too close on the flowchart or when I try rendering over 1000 nodes. The graph disappears with NS_ERROR_FAILURE message. I will attach the error and what it looks like.

My clients mostly use firefox. But this usecase works well in Safari which can render up to 5000 nodes without much issue.

I know that browsers have limitations on how much it can render. If you guys know the work around, a fix or if I'm doing something wrong please let me know.

Recently got a new computer. Log in to gmail and after about 5 to 10 minutes of being in gmail I get an error message saying the connection failed and it must reconnect. Its not a internet issue. I can still go other places in a browser or have access to anything on the network. It is only Gmail. This didn't happen before on my old computer. I have reinstalled Firefox, gutted and reinstalled Firefox, tried it with a new profile. Tried it with the profile from my old computer. I cannot get it to stop. I found a setting online for HTTP time out for Firefox. I did increase that time out to 10 minutes but that did not seem to resolve the issue. It isn't a network connectivity issue from what I can tell as I don't lose internet or have any issue access other resources both locally or on the internet.

At first I thought it was a facebook problem, but the issue started appearing in other places (gmail, youtube, etc). I can be writing something in a comment box, word doc, chat window or whatever and if I select some text and hit copy or cut, the entire browser absolutely locks - can't click on anything or do anything - for MINUTES at a time. There's no CPU, disk read/write, or other system usage spike to indicate what's going on - Firefox just stops and is completely unresponsive for a very long time.

This is new as of the past couple weeks, I think? I hit it once and didn't think much of it but now I'm getting hit by it daily just about because I'm more active on social media, email, and other things lately.

wtf? I have not installed any new extensions in a very long time.

hi mozilla ! last 60 days, but never before, we keep getting messages of "cannot connect to the server at _______" at most websites, most of the time. all of our computers on same system and service providers get same error messages. blue box in lower corner invites us to "try again" and about 75% of time after many attempts it connects. checked our computers, internet service at Charter, and business email at Web.com and all check out and are OK. error message then suggests "if your are connected but behind a firewall check that Firefox has permission to access the web". say what ? then we received a new error message today "SSL ERROR UNSUPPORTED VERSION, this website might not support TLS 1.2 protocol which is minimum supported by Firefox". yesterday we did upgrade our emailing to SSL encryption, from "none". do you think that caused any issues? don't understand why that should. perhaps unrelated but our outgoing (only) emails always get hung up for hours in the "outbox" via web.com, but on yahoo and gmail emailing no such problem thank you, paul

Hi,

For a couple of weeks I've noticed, that at night when I close Firefox and prepare to turn off my computer, the Firefox browser does not close properly.

I've also noticed that it takes a while for the browser to close. Maybe a minute or more as opposed to immediately as had been in the past. I've attached a picture and I always 'click' Quit Firefox.

I'm on an iMac running Monterey 12.4.

Thanks very much!

Seems I have same issue as here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1328258

At some point (most of the time it seems after my laptop comes back from a sleep - like when moving back home from the office or when moving with the laptop from my desk into a meeting room), I try to get on a call on google meet and I get "no camera found". Fun stuff at the same time I can access the camera with Chrome with no issue.

Seems a Firefox restart cleans up stuff and makes the camera accessible again, but I even believe I saw this working after I reconnected back from battery to ac.

Since mid-May I have noticed that Firefox will fail to load various websites, such as, Google, Amazon, or YouTube. I have spoken with my ISP, Verizon, and they report no anomalies with my service and network monitoring shows no drop in internet connectivity. I switched to Microsoft Edge to see if the problem persists but have not run into the same issue, so I believe the fault lies with Firefox. I am actually using Edge to submit this help ticket since I cannot get any webpage to load on Firefox currently. I really enjoy using Firefox, but I have no problem switching back to Chrome or a similar browser.

It works properly when the pdf is loaded in Firefox when you click on both buttons to test them out. However, when you go to print the pdf after having checked both they will both be checked on the printed version (be it a new pdf export or physical print). This has only started happening within the past week or two. And this does not happen in Chrome or Edge. Please help. Thank you.

It was working fine earlier today but now this issue keeps popping up and I get no error messages and it just stays grey until I click on it. Then, it gives me the "Firefox is not responding" message. The "close program" option on that and the Task Manager are the only ways I can close Firefox. I've tried restarting my laptop a couple of times but it's still the same. How do I fix this? .

I have W10 fully updated with plenty of RAM but in the last few weeks, after I boot up in the morning (I shut down every night) it takes a long time (several minutes) for either Firefox or Thunderbird to fully boot up . Firefox opens tomy home page, but does not complete for several minutes so I can go nowhere. If I am patient and wait it is fine the rest of the day..nice and fast. If I shut down and reboot again- very very slow opening of both for the initial time. I have run full virus scans, sfc/scannow, malwarebytes, cleared history and cache and cookies, turned off and on hardware excelerator. Any other suggestions? Word and Excel open quickly as usual.
