There are times when my browser doesn't let me close tabs. Whenever that happens, clicking on the X button does nothing and I've noticed that, when I try that, another layer of buttons appears briefly just over the Firefox window resizing and closing buttons; as if a new screen layer of unknown origins is blocking my actions. Closing the window, however, works normally.

This problem happens randomly and I have no idea what's causing, but it's getting annoying. How can I fix that?

Suddenly my twitter is white and nothing displays after a refresh. I did not change any settings. It is normal in troubleshoot mode. I have disabled my adblock but that didn't make a difference.

I sign into FF. I have "Never remember History" selected in my settings, and I'm running is Strict Privacy mode, but every time I open a tab and the Pocket page appears - at the top of the page are icons of some sites I have visited in the past. How can that be disabled so History is not remembered ?

Noticed recently firefox looses windows on startup. Set to restore on bootup, but quite frequently Firefox looses a whole window, each with several panes. eg I'm lazy and will have an ebay window, each pane different, watchlist and others with items I'm looking to buy, saves me ticking all the little boxes. Another window might be nas boxes, each pane being a nas box. Then a general window fo bowsing news etc. Noticed on startup a whole window vanishes with all its panes. Not an accidental click on close window, since get a warning if I do that because of multiple panes.

I added a plugin that enabled privacy.clearonshutdown for a number of settings and I have lost my Cache and History. Is there a way for me to restore that data? I haven't restarted my computer yet.

I was looking at other options: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1290163 and apparently there is an index.dat thing I could use as well, but I can't find it. I really can't afford to lose yet more data after my last mistake.

I did get the bookmarks in from a file I saved, not the html,, but that may have been when this started, can't remember. I have a xml file and want to import this as a firefox addon. But when importing it to firefox (just drag-and-dropped it into a new tab), it shows something like "this xml file has no style information" and so forth.

Is there a possibility to add this file as an firefox addon?

Hello, I think there is a problem in my Firefox settings because on the same Mac, with the same fiber connection to the same server I get very different speedtest results. With Firefox I get almost 300 Mb/s, with Chrome almost 700 Mb/s. I tried on other speedtest sites with same results. I use OpenDNS and I don't use VPN. What can I check to fix this difference?

All of a sudden I can't download dropbox files sent to me by others. I can download them on other browsers, however. Has a setting changed for me on my mozilla browser? It's never been a problem. Is it a settings issue?

Hello, For quite some time, Firefox seems to have a problem with Google docs. 1) The text on Google docs is blurred. I have attached screenshots that compare its appearance on Firefox and Edge. 2) Some functions of Google docs do not work. I can't use the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+M to insert a comment, but on Edge, this works fine.

I am using Windows 10, Firefox 96.0.3. I have tried restarting Firefox in Troubleshooting mode, but it made no changes to these issues.

What could be the reason for this?

'For the last two days I cannot open my email on Outlook 365 using my Friefox browser. I get a page sayig "Something went wrong" and then am asked to refresh. But that doesn't help. I've tried restarting my computer but that makes no difference.

For a few weeks now, I have a lot of crash when using firefox (I'm on windows 10). Not the whole application is crashing, just the current tab that I'm browsing. It said that a random error occured and offer me to reload the tab. It then works but crash again a few moment later (irregular). I tried to update my drivers, to uninstall and reinstall firefox (even did a full wipe of the app and its files before installing again), I tried some old firefox versions but I always have the same issue.

Dear Team Volunteer,

Loaded Firefox Ver. 93.0.3 (64Bit) onto a rebuilt machine, using Windows 10 64bit, but often upon loading it tries, often unsuccessfully, to load past pages instead of my home page. What's up?? Why is it trying to remember, a setting I have accidentally turned on? Removing previous tabs lets me start new. Did not do this on old machine, unless power or I shut down by accident.

Long standing Firefox user.

Recently I've been having F.Fox, run in private mode, it deletes all cache upon exit. With private mode enabled I'm unable to watch anything on Netflix while this same setup in Chrome. I've gone through the entire check for the error and the only thing left is to turn on browser history.

Is this the only way to watch Netflix videos in private mode?
