I have V94.0.1 64 bit version of Firefox. Let me start with this - I really like Firefox and all that it stands for in terms of privacy. I despise Chrome, MSIE/Edge, and Safari because of the data mining they do.

That said, I am very frustrated with Firefox performance on both my Windows PC and my Apple MacBook. I have several pinned tabs. It takes what feels like FOREVER for the pinned and other tabs to open and fully load from the previous session. In fact, some tabs, pinned or not pinned, take easily 15 -20 minutes before they fully load, if they ever load. I also have several tabs that crash all the time - TitanTV, LinkedIn, IMDB, iCloud, Cozi, YahooMail, etc. There are also times where a tab or page gets so hung that I have to close Firefox and start it again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I have not found any useful assistance on this support forum or with general web searches.

Can someone PLEASE help me solve this as it is way beyond annoying?

I have been trying to locate the temporary file of the failed download video file. I was downloading a huge video file (78 GB) and the system froze in the middle of it. So I was forced to cut the power and restart the laptop. After restarting, I saw that my system drive is still filled with the temporary file (part), but I couldn't locate it and delete the temp file. It has taken up about 40 GB of my system drive space because the download was more than half way through.

When I started the download, I selected an external drive as the destination. However, I have been observing Firefox download behavior and I am pretty sure Firefox would download as much of the file to system drive as possible, until the system drive is full, then moving onto the destination drive, which has been a huge inconvenience, because of the huge video files that I am dealing with.

I have already cleared the file and the .part in the destination drive, but failed to locate the rest of the temp file in my system drive. I have searched the internet and found no mention of such problem. So I am seeking professional help here.

Attached is a screenshot showing how much space is used by checking the system drive properties, against the properties of all files in system drive (including hidden). The number doesn't add up, and there are 52 GB of files unlocated.

Unable to install Trend Micro Toolbar extension for Firefox  v. 93.0 & v. 94.0 Encountering being redirected to " Oops! We cannot find that page" when the user clicked "Install Firefox toolbar"...

I have also reported this to Trend Micro and there reply was;

As per our Expert Engineers, Currently, the Trend Micro toolbar for Firefox is still under maintenance. You may encounter being redirected to " Oops! We cannot find that page" when the user clicked "Install Firefox toolbar" They have advised customers to use a different browser temporarily. We are already coordinating with Mozilla Firefox to make it available as soon as possible."

I'm getting Mozilla Crash reports at the rate of about six per day, but Firefox is still running without any issues. Does anyone know why this is happening and how it can be resolved?

After using Firefox for MANY years, having an add Blocker installed and being smug how well it works, The last week has been so very tedious I'm at the point of frustration and thinking of an alternative browser. Firefox now has decided to crash Tabs or The complete Browser Often, Often when watching Youtube. Fixes Ive tried, Assign Page File to C:, Disable Add Blockers and tried another, Use Windows MEM diagnosis tool and no errors showed and Check Im using a none aggressive Mem clock = XMP Profile 1, Updated all drivers and GP software, GPU is at default clocks ( MSI GTX 970).

Heres a few reports for you to look over, Please drop ANY suggestions :)

I can no longer view Instagram in my browser. For a week or so I've had trouble with Instagram. I can log in but all I get is the grey Instagram camera logo in the middle of my browser window. The app on my phone works fine. If I continue to try logging in on my computer to see if it works yet Instagram locks my account until I enter a password they send my email. My eyes aren't great and I need to view Instagram on my computer monitor. Please help. How do I fix this?

Only when using my Firefox in windows on my PC. After I am connected to my Gmail for a short period of time, it stops working and then I see a banner at the top that reads that it is disconnected. It will not reconnect until I close Firefox and then reopen it. I have checked everything including a uninstall and then reinstalling Firefox. Can someone help me?

version 94.0.2 (64-bit) message: "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem." I can not see any of my bookmarks and I can not bookmark any page. I have: Shut down Firefox and restarted: no help uninstalled, deleted folders, and reinstalled: no help Import bookmarks from another browser: no help. That doesn't work either

What "security software" is the message talking about?

Hope you can help, because I don't want to go to another browser.

I am getting errors from online web forms that tell me I must have JavaScript enabled to continue, but when I check about:config, it shows Enable JavaScript to be True?? Is there some reason why this may happen, or do I just need to use a better browser?? Thanks in advance!!

I want to change background color in Firefox from white to gray (because my eyes get tired of white)

I try to change it this way: Preferences -> Language and appearance -> Font -> Colors

But it does not work as expected on some complex web sites. All I want to do is to darken the background, but not to change color of other elenments (links, text, scrollbars).

Can I do it in Firefox ? How [Preferences -> Language and appearance -> Font -> Colors] works in Firefox? Perhaps, there is some "override css" for the entire browser?

Help! After many, many, happy, trouble-free years with FF (thanks folks) I just updated to FF 94.0. FF 94 is failing to use my saved logins, is silently failing to save new logins, seems to have forgotten my master password and won't let me set a new master password (which is probably a good thing!).

I see from searches here and elsewhere that the failure to migrate master password and login has been a serious issue, for a lot of people, for a long time, when upgrading FF. What I am still not clear on, despite reading many posts, is how to recover from this situation and seek your guidance on this.

In my profile I see:

• key3.db (last updated by old version of FF)
• key4.db (updated/created by new FF 94)
• logins.json (Seems still full of all my login entries and salted passwords, not touched by FF 94)

Since downloading 94, several websites contain symbols which look like they might be Chinese(?). Is anyone else experiencing this and how do you get rid of them? It happens whether or not I assign a font or let the website use its own.

You disabled my Speed Dial [FVD] extension, and now that I can't open that extension in Firefox, I can't export my settings. I NEED to open it up so I can export the hundreds of web pages I had stored in it.

How can I get my export TODAY???

Trying to log into my investing website (Vanguard)

So.............I log into the website periodically and several weeks or more ago they 'updated' their site with a new look. So when I go to it, it has 'auto-filled' my username and password (just like it used to do) and after the site does the 'handshake' with the window I press the 'Log In' button and nothing happens. Nothing at all, it just sits there. I can launch my (outdated) Internet Explorer browser and do the same thing and it works fine and I go right in to the site. I've tried deleting cookies for the site on the Firefox browser but it doesn't change anything.

So..........ideas? Maybe a plug-in problem???

Does anyone know why there is an apparent magnification issue on certain websites?

I apologize for not remembering what previous version the issue had commenced.

The MLB website, and occasionally, CNN’s, renders excessive magnification. The issue is very frequent on the MLB website. Disabled uBlock Origin on those websites and did not resolve it. Yes, my magnification is set at 100%. It should be of no surprise that the issue has NEVER once transpired in Chrome. The view from Chrome is how the website should be displaying.

I am going to provide two screenshots. One from Firefox and the other from Chrome. These views pertain to a Windows 7 platform via a desktop computer. I only have 8GB of RAM. I use a GTX 960 Vid card. Not the worst model in the world.

What else have I noticed about the MLB website that does not pertain to Firefox? It is a major CPU sucker when videos are playing from it. The CPU usage shoots up to Palookaville. It would seem to me that there are two issues materializing. Changed the CPU with an identical spare. No change.

One or two possibilities may be occurring:

1. There may be an issue in Firefox pertaining to the magnification issue and how it renders specific websites

2. The MLB website requires super-powered hardware to use it. A 3.0 GHz processor should be sufficient. Apparently not for the MLB site.

I reiterate that the magnification rendering issue has never occurred in Chrome.

Recently lost all login/password data in firefox. After browsing the support I discovered that I have a corrupt logins.json file, around 270kb in size, and a logins.json file around 10kb in size.

Renaming the corrupt file to logins.json doesn't seem to recover the passwords/logins (even temporarily). Tried rolling firefox back to an older version and that didn't work either.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the corrupt file?

Firefox 94.0 crashes on startup, see for ex bp-3c45baeb-9cc8-4b9b-aedc-0a5030211105. It starts with -safe-mode but not if I disable all extensions. Ubuntu 20.04 on 10 year old Dell T3400.
