Hi, (my PC : Windows 10 with Firefox 84.0.1 (64 bits)) Bug with the french "boulanger.com" website. The same page is not displayed the same way either with Edge or with Firefox. One element is missing in the "Mon compte" page. Please, see the two attached image files. Thank you for your anwswer. Richard Kaiser

It appears that my account was reset and I was locked out. I successfully reset my password but I cannot restore or recover my other information such as data, bookmarks, customization, preferences, etc. It also appears that my desktop account no longer recognizes my android device. Unable to sync with phone and QR Code recovery was unsuccessful.

Can you please help me restore my desktop/android account to where it was on Jan 3 2021?

As a casual web developer I have a few sites that run on my Windows 10 system. Until today, when v84.0.1 was installed, I could access my installation of phymyadmin with http://pma. That is no longer possible. Even though History shows recent use of that URL, explicit entering of "http://pma" is converted to https and connection fails. Privacy & Security 'Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode' is already set. I see no reason why I need SSL for connections to my own system. Please advise.

I have Firefox set to restore tabs from the previous session. That works great ... until I set Edge as the default browser in order to do some troubleshooting. Then I set FF back to the default browser, started FF, and the tabs weren't there from the previous session. There was only one tab, the which was the Homepage. Is there some way that I can restore all of those tabs when I start FF?

I closed a session with about 70 tabs, and upon reopening, firefox opened two windows, and the "restore previous session" was grayed out. I looked at "recently closed tabs" and there was only about 5 recent google searches in there, and none of my older tabs.

I closed the windows and tried again, this time "restore" was available but it opened only one tab to a website I hadn't had open in a session for weeks.

Renamed the folder. And now on opening, all of my history, my bookmarks, my bookmark toolbar, is completely gone, and the only toolbar bookmark I have is "Getting Started" like a brand new version of firefox.

Please help, I have so many important websites in my bookmarks and I'm ruined if I can't restore them.

When I go to Google Ads to view our performance stats, the pages have an overlay of seemingly random words that make it very difficult to read. This doesn't happen with the Chrome browser.

Search fail's me (again), avast F* antivirus installed a new browser on my computer, and now firefox is no longer my standard browser.

1) STAY AWAY FROM AVAST!!!! 2) when I uninstall that avast browser, and make firefox my default browser again, firefox boots a "fresh" browser. NOT my adapted (add-ins, theme, ...) firefox.

This happened before, but I have zero clues how to fix this (again). Last time it took me 6 months or so to fix this and it was a pretty straight forward thing. I can't for the life of me remember what I did?

I have the auto update feature enabled on my firefox browser, I am on windows 10 and it just will not auto update. It asks me for a manual update every time. I cannot find any recent information as to how to fix this issue so I figured I would ask here.

Is firefox deliberately making sure it is no longer compatible with web sites ? every time it is updated i can add web sites to the list of no longer compatible web sites. and they are not changing, so the issue is with firefox. I see in the about us, Firefox is braging about their collaboration with Ford Foundation, omidyar network, color of change and consumers international and ford foundation even referred to it as a match made in heaven. How ever how can screwing up every day of the week be a good thing or heaven ? How is it these ' people ' think their of any help at all ? The issue with the usps OIC portal issues was never fixed, then it was several banks and credit card company's, now it is home depot corporate log in [ not homedepot.com ] also the apple icloud issue, with some hidden page command that causes the courser to no longer work when viewing pictures. So I am wondering how a bunch of deliberate screw ups can brag about how their making it ' better' by making the web browser no longer compatible with high security web sites then trying to say the issue is with them is not good, helpful, or even a step forwards.

So now the only work around is fire fox has to be abandoned as a joke junk web browser and all of those web sites can only be accessed by google chrome.

I'm not sure if it is firefoxs new so called clown high security, how ever forcing users to go to a different web browser is not more security , it is a deliberate screw up, like making a car that breaks down when you drive it out of your driveway and calling it safer as it can not get into a accident if you can not drive it.

and just so that we are crystal clear for years I have run computers on line with NO anti virus or malware protection, yet my computer does not get infected, but how can that be ? the answer is simple, people are morons that do stupid things that cause their computers to be infected, if your IQ was higher then a bug you would not have all of the issues your all having. So what do you do ? you change the browser thinking it is going to protect you from your selfs, when the problem is not with the browser its with you the users.

So how are all of your continuous changes that cause the web browser to no longer function properly a help at all ?

I am on version 84.0.1 for windows and can't resume downloads without restarting them from the beginning. The internet can be pretty slow and inconsistent where I live so getting a file in one go is pretty unlikely. I saw a couple things saying to save the old .part or both the .part and 0 byte regular file and replace the new ones but when I hit resume the download instantly fails. It will show that while paused it has the old one's download progress, but when it resumes it fails. I'm pretty sure that the sites I'm using allow downloads to be resumed because I can do it on chrome.

Twitch website videos give me error #3000 (twitch help tells me its a browser problem). When I try twitch on chrome I don't get this error.

Youtube on firefox never works. Can't view either of the side panels, including history (the most important function imo on youtube).

Can you guys fix this???

Firefox Browser will not receive history from iOS, how to fix? Everything else seems to work except history syncing. However, I still can sync history TO my phone, but not from it.

Hello, I update Wordpress pages on downtownlanguages.org. The past couple of days, the site's top menu bar covers up the page headings on all the pages and does not scroll with the rest of the page. I don't know if this is a Firefox problem or a Wordpress problem. The pages display correctly in MS Edge and on my iPad. To my knowledge, I've done nothing in WordPress to cause this to happen. I have refreshed Firefox and cleared startup cache but it did not resolve the problem. Please help. Thank you! See https://downtownlanguage.org/donate for an example.

While attempting to move bookmarks, I've somehow lost the "bookmark this page" option in my bookmarks menu. I can't bookmark anything. Thanks for any useful assistance.

I've always used Firefox's "set as desktop background" to change my desktop picture on Linux Mint. Recently (after update to Mint 20?), it hasn't been working. I'm not sure it was when I updated to Mint 20, it may also have quit working after I used Pix to set the desktop background?

When I select "set as desktop background" in Firefox, nothing happens. There is no error message. I can still change the background using Pix, but that requires saving the picture from Firefox, opening it in Pix, and then setting it to the desktop. It would be nice if I could do it directly from FF again.

Like the title says, when I click the lock icon at the left of the URL the menu appears bugged and firefox starts using all the RAM in the system until I kill the process. This does not happen on Safe Mode.

Yes, i recall the last time i was asking for help with this issue i was told to post it as a bug somewhere. I went to "Feedback" thinking that was logical, but apparently Mozilla is reworking Feedback so that does not exist, and as i am not a software developer, i suspect a technical bug report is over my head anyway.

I don't want to go to Edge, but it would seem Mozilla wants me to. This issue has persisted ever since release 79. I would think that the programmer(s) could "simply" look at what changed from 78 to 79 and revert, but apparently not.

I, once again, have to uninstall the latest release (i installed it, allowing an "upgrade", thinking that by now someone there would have fixed that which at least to me is a critical routine), and reinstall Version 78.0, since that one isn't f'd up. Maybe it is all the enhanced "security" that is now interfering with normal processes, i don't know. That also means I have to get used to the new browser and hopefully finding a reliable password manager to which i can import pages of entries from Kee.

Yes, i know i will get a share of hate mail for criticizing FF at this point. Just consider how infuriating it is after using it since beta 0.3 and having made donations, having what i see as a critical issue ignored, and worse, forcing me to soon change to Edge if no one fixes it. As much as i hate using the Microsoft browser, at least it does not force the Microsoft "Save" dialog box to collapse when trying to print to a pdf, and i am rather disgusted that no one from FF has reached out to try to fix this issue.

And yes, i did try it in safe mode (run firefox.exe /safe) and "Restart with Addons disabled" from the menu|Help, neither of which were successful.

If any of you know how to get this note to someone competent at FF, please do so and let me know to hold off on switching; i dread having to do that, but printing to pdf is mission critical in the conduct of my business.
