I've made several TAB GROUPS with the STG plugin. But when I want to close the tab group windows I get a warning like: "You are about to close 37 tabs. Are you sure you want to continue?" What? How do I close the windows without closing all the tabs and loosing them? Isn't the purpose of using STG to help you organize all of your open tabs so that you CAN close the windows? Or, when I close the STG Group and close the tabs, will they still be accessible through the STG Manage Groups window? Thanks for the help!

I cannot get Firefox Developer Edition 84.ob2 to start, I can see it xcome up in Task Manager and then the app say suspended and it stops.

Have tried all the suggestions I can see in help but nothing works.

Hello, I would like to know how to remove 'other bookmarks' folder from the right side of bookmark toolbar that showed up suddenly on my browser, it's right after the arrows to show more bookmarks. I can't seem to find a way to delete this.

I'm trying to use a custom start page on new tabs opening (not happy that I have to use an extension for such basic functionality btw) but my service worker does not seem to activate or used when opening. Opening a new tab takes multiple seconds.

Navigating to the site (I have my start page hosted on AWS) on an existing tab is instantaneous, as is refreshing this page once the tab is loaded. So what gives? As far as I can tell Firefox doesn't install service workers on a per-tab basis, so there should be no issue here.

After the last update { Version 84.0b1 (64-bit) } when i add a bookmark in the bookmarks folder ,the folder appears in the Bookmarks toolbar items how can i remove it ?

When I try to dowload a file, i fails and create a 0 byte file. I tried with repository firefox, and download the tar.gz from dev version. Both fail. I deleted ~/.mozilla and ~/.cache/mozilla to start fresh and the error persist. I can browse, open a PDF in integrated viewer, but I am unable to save it. Other browsers can download files to ~/Downloads without problems.

Any hint of how to debug (and/or solve) the problem is welcome.

Since a recent Firefox update, Firefox has alpha-sorted my bookmarks automatically and I cannot turn this new feature off - this is annoying!

I want to custom organise the order of my bookmarks - NOT by alpha-sorting.

The 'sort by name' menu option does not have a counter option - ie 'DO NOT sort bookmarks'

So how do I turn off book mark sorting ???

I constantly use the "This time, search with..." option in the search bar to switch between my default search engine and others on the fly. Since version 84.0, this now needlessly prepends the query with a search engine label and requires an additional action to complete (either a return or click of search arrow).

I feel as though the clicking of any of those alternate search engine options is enough to establish intent by the user and should act as a submit button for the request. The only "advantage" this new functionality allows for is a select-first, query-after approach, which I find uncommon.

My request:

1) Return previous behavior. 2) Implement hybrid -- Search-first, query-after produces label; query first, search after submits. 3) Provide an option in the settings to toggle behavior.

I am looking for the exact site we need to access to perform auto updates to Firefox DE on Windows 10 64-bit v. 1909. We have numerous security precautions in place and we currently can't access the auto updates area. Our security does not allow us to open the entire downloads area, so we are looking for the exact URL that is required for auto updates to function. We are also wondering if it is possible to have the auto updates point to a local server. This would allow us to bypass giving the full access to the website URL and just point customers locally within our own environment.

I have a folder on my desk top that reads "Old Firefox Data". This popped up when a newer version was installed. How can this be imported back into my newer 80.+ version? I have lost most history, bookmars, etc.

New logo at top of home page. What's the quickest/easiest way to get rid of it ?

Rant: Why did someone think it was a good idea to put a massive logo at the top of the home page ? It serves no practical purpose and it forces link icons down so you now have to scroll "!!"!! There's always ******* one isn't there !!? - someone with a crap idea who thinks the world needs to see it. How many hrs worldwide is going to be wasted today by people like me trying to undo this crud ? This isn't the first time some ignorant little ******* has forced their crap on firefox end users.

I have Bing removed from my search engines and when I call up a new window Bing is not there, YAY. But if an app creates a window, even Thunderbird, the window has Bing as it default search engine and is back in the list of search options. This must be a default within Firefox itself or some data file where this comes from. How can I permanently remove Bing.

Addition information, if I lose all my open windows during a crash, last happened when I updated my bios it also reverts to Bing.
