I've successfully updated latest Java plug-in to latest version but Mozilla plugin page shows it's still outdated

Mozilla Plug-in page showed Java was outdated and needed updating. I did do that but the plug-in page still shows Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.90.5 10.9.2.5 & Java (TM) Platform SE 7U9 10.9.25 as being outdated. But when I go to my add-on page and check my plug-ins, those are both showing up as being installed and enabled and the date I updated them on which was today 12/12/12. Also I went to www.java.com to check what the latest version was and when you click on downloads it automatically checks to see if you are running the current version and it says I am running the latest version. I even went and uninstalled some old java updates that I forgot to remove in my programs. Should I just ignore the *outdated* plug-in reminders for those two on Mozilla's plug-in page since everything else is telling me I did it correctly? Thing is, how do I know when there is a new update if those two never update and consistently show they are outdated? Thanks to anyone that may be able to answer this question.

The address bar does not show the current tabs FULL URL. I have tried the Trim URL trick to no avail. It is also disheartening that there is no COPY LINK option in the file menu. I need to be able to see the full URL and be able to copy it for a host of reasons. Would also be nice to make sure that I am on an HTTPS page and not have to guess. Take a look at this website and see that no matter what page you go to, the URL stays the same.

Really would like to know the reason that FF took it out of the mix, what is the problem or issue or was it just someone's idea of a cute piece of code?

Firefox from one minute to the next crashed. Everytime I opened it up, it became unresponsive. Never an error message, just a pure freeze. The CPU does not go into overdrive. I did a complete uninstall. Created a new profile. As soon as i closed my session, the problem persisted. Even in safe mode, the application freezes completely within 1-3 seconds. Using the latest firefox windows 7 up to date

The title says it all. I also checked Windows' Event Viewer for entries but there are none present. It does not crash every time, but when it does, it is always within the first few seconds of running and will do so several attempts in a row. Changing to a blank home page made no difference. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled with a fresh download (no add-ons) to no avail. This is a computer I just built. XP 32 bit, Kingston 120 GB SSD, 8GB memory (only 3.17 seen by the OS by design).

My 8.0.1 version does not have either "symbol" or "Wingdings" fonts listed and when I render my html document those characters end up using the Arial font. I have documents with lots of less-than-and-equals, greater-than-and-equals, and a host of other symbols as well as wingdings characters. IE9 works fine. Chrome has the same problem Firefox has.

Also Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and various other programs will not launch either giving me similar error messages. I have tried downloading and reinstalling Firefox and other trouble shooting advice.

Hello, I just downloaded FireFox 8 because I've had enough of IE. Now, when I click on an Excel file in Sharepoint 2010 it opens it directly in Firefox, without the option of download/save. I need to open these files in Excel so I have the analysis and editing of Excel. How do I bring this option back so that it doesn't directly open in Firefox? When I click the Open in Excel button, I get an error ''To open this workbook, your computer must have a version of Microsoft Excel installed and your Web browser must support opening files directly from Excel in the browser.''
