The DOWNLOAD POPUP always has a lag before it lets you click OK WHEN NO DEFAULT download settings for that file type are set. VERY STRANGE could make a rationale for that with .exe which CANNOT HAVE DEFAULT SAVE SETTINGS APPARENTLY? BUT ALL FILES?? That is insanity POPUP APPLICATION LAG TO CLICK OKAY WHAT IN FREAKING LUDICROUS MADNESS is that load of garbage AHA!! SOLUTION and customization options to fix that would be VERY NICE APPRECIATED FOR SURE. Thank

I'm looking to upgrade my FF browser as much as possible, but I need to run Mac OS X 10.9.5 (for legacy software) on my older iMac.

Currently running "78.15.0esr (64-bit)" and the "About" window says "Firefox is up to date" and "You are currently running on the esr update channel" (Not sure what that means)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Closed tabs keep reappearing, either spontaneously or on Firefox restart. Trashed the session files, emptied the trash, even restarted the computer to no avail. It will even create duplicate tabs of these same five tabs that were closed days ago. Thank you in advance for your help.

Firefox 78.15 running on mid 2007 iMac, El Capitan version 10.11.6

I often hop between Linux distro installations, and I generally use the same hostname for a single computer when I do reinstalls. I have had a computer called 'sparrow' that I've signed into Firefox several times on across OS changes, and they all appear in the 'Send Tab to Device' menu that I use frequently. Since none of these devices exist anymore, they're completely useless.

I've gone to the Manage Devices page where you can sign out of any devices that are currently logged into my Firefox account, but clicking sign out on 'sparrow' does nothing. It stays in the menu, and no entries from the tabs menu are removed. I've tried this from all my computers.

I've thought of maybe downloading all my firefox sync data and completely recreating my Firefox account, but I'm hoping there might be a simpler fix.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hello, does anyone know how to create a setting to automatically save history for just one site, when you have your settings to delete all other history upon closing firefox?

This one site i use constantly (my email program), and don't want to have to go through the cumbersome process of logging in yet again and again, and i trust it so i don't feel the need for that one's history to be deleted.

I have found a few pages about address rewriting; how do I disable them all ? - searching single word into google (type "keyw" in about:config to disable it) - hiding http when not using https - trying to add "www" and ".com" around a single word when the word did not resolve

I consider most of them as security issues for various reasons.

And when editting an URL, I want firefox to keep showing the full url as it was invoqued; not add https randomly, or removing http other days. And the more I disable some, the more new ones appear.

I'd like to transfer my settings & bookmarks to my new computer & do not know how to do that. Going from an older Mac with OSX El Capitan to Mac Mini OSX Monterey. I could really use the help - thx!

Hello! I'm running 78.15.0esr (64-bit) on El Capitan (Mac).

On my LinkedIn page, I cannot scroll the messages on the main page. I looked up any clues with the inspector and Google, but found nothing.

I deleted cookies, cache and tried in Safe mode but issue persists.

The whole scrolling experience overall does not work very well on LinkedIn. I understand I'm running on an old OS, however it's the one that works the best with my laptop. Any recommendations as to what's the best and most updated browser for this version?

how can i add the choose search engine dropdown menu in the address bar? now it only shows results from whichever search engine i choose as the default, eg google, from firefox prefs. Even though i have around 6 others chosen as alternative engines. Foe example, i often wish to quickly switch to wikipedia ,or duckduckgo search, etc.

Problem: different areas of the same domain requires unique passwords. eg example.com/admin1/ user: name example.com/admin2/ user: name

The user name is the same for both, are fixed and cannot be changed.

When I log in to admin1/ but then need to log in to admin2/ Firefox thinks I am updating my password used in admin1/ .

I have read question 1280159 (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1280159) which only partially solves it IF the user name can be modified.

How can i solved this without accidentally losing my password/s ?

See above on Subject = inability on my laptop with Firefox provider to watch certain dramas/films on 4 due to DRM. My problem is trying to follow the instructions hitherto given. I just want to be able to access those sites with DRM overlordship getting in the way. I am an old man who is simple-minded, that is, not 18 years and adept at whizzing around laptops.
