Editing old sessionstore.js files used to be easy can .jsonlz4 files be edited/converted? I need to sanitize a session, I am aware of https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html but that's not what I want.

I add a bookmark and place it in a suitable folder. I can close Firefox and the bookmark is there when I restart Firefox.

I close down Firefox then restart Windows 10. The newly added bookmark is gone.

What's happening?

It's especially annoying because saving/restoring bookmarks is useless as it loses all bookmark ordering in the various folders I use.

From last 1 week i have tried to open google chrome but it always opens Mozilla firefox ,i have tried changing defaults and have tried to delete firefox but nothing work.I have to work on google but it won't let me open chrome.Please help,Thanks

Although I love Mozilla and I am using it for decades now, I find it very frustrating the lack of password protection security. I cannot understand why Mozilla, the browser that aims to be the most secure for its users, cannot have a system similar to Chrome that requires user login before revealing stored passwords.

Whoever gets access on my computer can easily get all saved passwords - which might include banks/IRS/email, etc. It is even worse on the phone app.

the theme and font interface is terribly small, it is barely readable for me without straining my eyes. I am to to point where I have to guess where to click in the drop down menus because the print is so small . there addon theme and font changer does not work. it has not work for a couple of years now there was a "userChrome.css" script that I was using that also no longer works. I have been a firefox user since it's beginning. from my online reading other users are having this same problem. I have not been able to find a online solution whet can be done to help or is there any help coming if the future

There are several posts on this site regarding uninstalling Firefox. I am running current Firefox on current W10 64bit 1903 desktop PC using Ethernet with Spectrum as my ISP. I am having a couple of problems in Firefox that are not happening in current Chrome. 1. Page-not-found 2-8 times a day that resolve every time by simply clicking the "retry" (or something close to that) button. I reset my router to "factory" and installed most current router firmware but that did not help. Netgear Support has been unable to help. 2. In current LastPass addon, I have to re-login to LastPass every time I start Firefox - did not used to do that (a year ago), and in Chrome or Edge that does not happen. I have re-installed the LastPass add-on. I have upgraded Firefox many times and have cleared history/cache many times. So now I want to COMPLETELY remove Firefox, reboot, and then install Firefox from scratch. Can someone please point me to the web page that tells me how to properly remove all of Firefox so that I can re-download/install it from the beginning? I do not care about retaining my Firefox settings or other from my current Firefox install.

Every time I try to log in to my account. All other sites appear to work correctly.

This happened this week, what is going on with Firefox? I can log in to my bank account from another browser. I have version 70.0.1 (64 bit).

So I've been using Firefox for quite a while now, both at home at work and on my phone. I've never had any issues with anything. I've had the same 3 extensions running since the installation of Firefox(Momentum tabs, Popup blocker and uBlock Origin)

But recently, Firefox has been uploading insane amount of data to the point where it just does not make sense. I'm adding two images, 1st shows my trend over the last 4 months while the 2nd shows how much data Firefox has been sending while being on (with a reset) for about 4h.

It became an issue because i usually do not close my computer and leave Firefox open with the tabs open (on average 5) and it was consuming all that data while i was at work While a "fix" could be well, close your Firefox, if this keeps up I'll just switch browser.

As far as what tabs are kept open a few Stock images website, GogoAnime, and usually my e-mails or work where i've left it off. No streaming website is left opened

I've got no active VPN connections, I've got complete control of my network and am beyond 100% certain that the issue comes from firefox, no other IP are on my network and lastly disabling all of my extensions has not changed the behavior of Firefox. My Firefox is up to date, (70.0.1) so everything else on my computer, from windows, gpu to all other drivers

Any help would be appreciated, otherwise i'll just change browser. (tried leaving on Chrome and it hardly uploads anything whatsoever)

I'm on Firefox 70.0.1 on macOS Mojave 10.14.6, admin user. My problem is that I have an old cert for a site and a new one, and every time I try to delete the old one, it just comes right back. Any ideas for how to make it stay deleted?

I need to disable the Quick Find hotkey or change it to something else. I use the forward slash on the keypad as a divide symbol for an in-browser calculator for my online math homework. However, every time I hit forward slash, it brings up the Quick Find search bar, which means I have to stop and use my mouse to click the divide button on the calculator. This is quite frustrating and slows me down immensely when completing my homework.

I'm on 70.0 and Firefox for some reason stopped showing youtube thumbnails. Other browsers show them perfectly fine but since Firefox is my main browser I would appreciate some help with this problem.

I have been using Firefox for years without difficulty with an older MacBook Pro. I recently bought a new MacBook Pro and installed Catalina. I successfully downloaded Firefox 70. But when I shut down my Mac and restart, Firefox is gone and i must set it up again. In the process, I find I have lost extensions and bookmarks. What can i do to make sure this doesn't happen?

I'm using an extensive HOSTS file to block content, etc., from websites, which is a pretty common use of HOSTS. However, Firefox 70.0 is ignoring the HOSTS file and loads sites that are explicitly named as 0.0.0.0 addresses. Other browsers, such as Chromium, work as expected and return a "not found" message. Is this a bug in Firefox or is there some setting, such as under about:config, that needs to be set properly? Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Windows 10 Pro, Version 1903, OS Build 18362.418 FF 70.0 (64 bit)

Let me preface this with saying I worked in IT for a long time. I'm stumped on this one.

FF worked fine on 10/22/19. Tried opening FF on 10/23/19 and it kept crashing. I started the task of finding out why.

Opened in Safe Mode and saw the latest FF update. Also discovered a new addon that I did not install: Adaware Secure Search. It wasn't there the last time I reviewed addons (which I do frequently, trying to find the best addon's for my usage) and I hadn't installed anything new recently. Disabled Adaware and FF started opening properly.

I don't want Adaware Secure Search however there is no Remove option in the dropdown. So, I started hunting online to try and remove it.

It is not in the Control Panel. It is not in the registry - I searched in every folder. Ran MalwareBytes and other tools - they don't see Adaware Secure Search anywhere. I followed the instructions that required the use of Troubleshooting and found Adaware is also not in my FF profile (that I can tell - the .xpi files are difficult to figure out since the majority are in number value). Tried refreshing FF and it showed up again. Un/re-installed FF and there it is again!...but this time i had the "joy" of having to redo my tabs, etc. It isn't on my other browsers either, just FF.

How do I get this removed? I don't want it to somehow become enabled in my system.
