Very suddenly, Google Hangouts no longer works with Firefox, as of the evening of June 11th. I tried Firefox add-ons but they don't work. I can open Google Hangouts page, but cannot use the messaging utility. I used it for years until last night. Apparently, a plug-in is missing or doesn't work.

What can you do about it?
youtube.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.
The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.
This is recent. What the heck happened?

I received a notification to update the Flash Player on Firefox. It doesn't look official so I did not click install. The manner in which it behaved after I tried to get rid of it confirms my suspicion that it's a scam. Upon clicking the hyperlink that says "Do not show this notification again" a banner appeared at the top left of the click asking me to allow the update. I clicked no but it continued to appear. In fact, it appeared multiple times until closing Firefox thru the task manager. However, when I opened Firefox afterwards the same prompt to upgrade Flash appeared right after opening Firefox. I can't stop this so I have stopped using Firefox. I checked the regular Firefox upgrade dialog thru about Firefox. It upgraded Firefox to version 67.0.2 with no Flash player update Then I ran a Malwarebytes scan. The result was "no threats detected." Have other users faced this problem? What should I do?

I turned on "Restore session" and it did restore my previous window, but even then the Recently closed tabs and windows were empty. I'm not aware of having changed anything except I cleared cache this morning after a problem with GMail. I'm assuming this isn't intended functionality?

I have a problem with FF 67 that I have not had with any previous version. I have a legacy Windows app called "URL Address Book" which I have used for many years. It's function is similar to the 'Bookmarks' feature of modern browsers. I think it's basically just a database of url's plus several elements which include a Name, Location (url), Category, Last Visit Date, etc. I think it just sends the url to the browser, a new tab opens, and navigation to the website occurs. (I'm probably not getting all of the technical terms right, so bear with me.) The user interface is simply a pane of folders (for organizing saved websites) and another pane listing websites to visit (see image attached). This is an old legacy app which has not been supported in years, but it has always worked up to FF vs. 67.
With vs. 67 a very strange thing started happening. When I double click on the row for the website I wish to visit, instead of opening a tab and navigating to the selected website, what I get is two (2) more instances of FF launched, both of which open to my standard Home Page settings. So, assuming I already have one instance of FF running, I now have three running and none of them have a tab with the website I selected open! Really weird behavior. I hate to have to scrap the app, because it's very handy. I can keep it open to the side and I'm used to using it.

Windows just performed an update 6/12/2019 and my bookmarks are gone. Does Firefox do backups or was I suppose to be doing it?

So, out of desperation, I asked a friend (I live in New Jersey, he is relatively close to me and also lives in New Jersey) if he could download Firefox and he had no trouble. At this point I am forced to assume that either my internet service provider (Optimum) or something else is interfering with my connection and I am unsure what to do about it.
Has anyone experienced this kind of problem before?

I have not added nor removed any extensions or add-ons. I simply opened firefox today and the window took up my whole screen as usual, but the actual browser, menu bar, etc only took up the top left corner of that window. The menu bar and all buttons on the browser work, but they act as if they are still in their original place, not where they are on the screen. To explain, it's like if you went to click the close window box on what you see, you'd be about 1/3 across the top of your screen from the left, but it's not there. You then go to hover over where it normally would be, on the top right corner, and then the close window box turns red to close. So it still thinks it's full size, but it's not. I can restart in safe mode and then it works, but as soon as you close and reopen, it goes back to mini Firefox. Attached is the image of what I see. Firefox opens and takes up the whole screen (where you see the small window and then the rest is white background).

If I remember correctly, the first time it happened was after a Firefox update on the first computer. It's a Windows 7. All my sync data was gone and using the sync feature never repopulated it. Now, about a month later, right after today's update, the second computer (Windows 10) did the same thing, All the sync data is gone and using the sync button doesn't recover anything. I'm thinking about uninstalling and re-installing Firefox.

I am running Windows 10 and using dual screens (both at native resolution). This is ONLY happening since the upgrade an hour ago.
