I've noted more and more lately that FF does not display pages correctly. Here is another one I just ran up on:

http://how2recycle.info/

Attached are screen shots of FF 59.0.2 [64 bit] and on Chrome Version 66.0.3359.139 (Official Build) (64-bit) running the OS Ubuntu 14.04.

Chrome appears to be rendered as intended, but the problems with FF are obvious. As far as I know, this is a browser related issue. What's going on here?

I have tried to get rid of "searchencrypt" and "jiffsearch" as search engines because they always bring me first to sometimes two pages of ads and sponsored until I can hardly find the site I wanted. I do not have that problem on Chrome, which I hate to use because it's part of G----- monopoly. I used to love Firefox but I can't use it if I have have those two search engines.

Hi all,

I guess I'm not the only one who has this problem... Since the latest Firefox update to the 59.0.2 version I can no longer load the outlook.com page on my I-Mac with OS 10.9.5, altough I have no problem to do it on the Mac book air...?? What it does when I try to open or refresh the outlook.com page is that it begins to load, enough so I see my new emails but the page crashes before I even can open a mail, the ads on the right don't have the time to load either. I tried the workaround by editing the stylo parameters but it doesn't change a thing. And of course I tried to restart everything quite a few times. I'm sending several crash reports a day but to my surprise it appears Mozilla haven't come back with a fix for that after a week. Does anybody have a clue of how making it work whitout having to restore Firefox's previous version?

Thanks!

When I invoke a New Window, I almost always prefer to immediately start typing the URL, maybe wait a moment for autocomplete, and hit ENTER. No clicking into the Address field, no waiting for Home Page to load. I am looking for the option to have my New Windows open BLANK with the cursor blinking in the Address field, ready for input (as in other browsers)? Is there a Preferences setting for this obvious option that I'm overlooking?

I cannot remember password. I tried to reset. I get a message that says "email returned/did I misspell it?" I didn't, it is not. I checked spam, nothing. Turned off spam filter, still nothing. It seems like something is stuck in limbo and needs a real "hard" reset so that an email will get to my inbox.

I had this problem for a while now, although it seems to start ocurring randomly and it is almost always fixed by restarting firefox.

First I thought Firefox is just not opening dialogs and menus at all. - The menu button (upper right corner) does nothing - When I press ALT to open the menu bar, the bar is visible, but the submenus are not - The download button does nothing

But today I had a certificate warning dialog. This dialog (if memory serves right) increases in height after the first action. this made it partially visible for me: The lower end of the dialog peeked into my desktop from above, showing me the buttons of the dialog. I experimented a bit and found out that when all these GUI elements should be visible, they can be interacted with via the keyboard. This leads me to think that these elements are in fact just off screen instead of missing completely.

As I said, restarting Firefox usually fixes this behaviour, but the problem comes back up again; either after a while of usage, or sometimes even directly after starting/restarting Firefox.

Things I have already tried: - Removed all plugins - Removed profile and started a fresh, new one - Reinstalled Firefox - Windows 10 "start fresh" reset (this one was not really to fix this issue, but for a different reason. this Firefox issue persisted anyway)

I am on Win 10 Pro version 1709, build 16229.371

TWIMC,

Firefox is broken!!

Using firefox 5902 with Win 7.

When my browser has been opened to my homepage (about:blank) and I am NOT visiting ANY websites (yet), Firefox should NOT be CONTINUOUSLY and ENDLESSLY sucking down more and more RAM!

You can check this SAME situation on your OWN PC! 1) Open Windows Task Manager, processes tab. 2) Set your homepage to "about:blank" 3) Open firefox and watch WTM as the firefox process(es) starts INCESSANTLY sucking down (and NEVER releasing ANY) RAM!!

This process will continue until firefox has devoured ALL of your RAM rendering your PC - NON-responsive - FORCING a power-down-restart!!

THE most expedient way to VIEW this type of crash is to visit/explore "www.msn.com". This same site is a great example one of THE most egregious sites for continuous, unrelenting RAM consumption - all the way to the point of an INEVITABLE PC crash!!!

NOTE: PROFESSIONAL programmers employ "memory-dump" aspects to their apps to release unnecessary RAM retention and thereby ensure compatibility for ALL users' machines.

What happened, Mozilla? Good help is TOO hard to find?!

MAYBE you SHOULD try this "AGES-OLD solution":

Try becoming "iconic" - "IF IT WORKS - DON'T FG FIX IT!!!!!!!!"

>:-(

I am not sure this is a Firefox issue as the reason I first came to you is Chrome and Edge also do it so I guess it's windows 10. None of them have been any help hence trying you.

I have a site that uses session cookies to maintain my single sign on (via SAML). When I quit Firefox and restart, that session cookie has not been deleted even though it is set to expire when the session expires. So my SAML site happily logs me back in without any credentials even after I quit and restart the browser. The only way to fix this is to manually delete the cookies. This seems like an exceptionally large security hole that should be addressed. Firefox should delete session cookies when you quit the browser.

As titled, I get an SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN error whenever I try and access google.com, either through the address bar typing in a search query, or when I type google.com etc. Here is the full error message:

www.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.facebook.com, *.xx.fbcdn.net, *.fbsbx.com, *.xz.fbcdn.net, *.facebook.net, *.xy.fbcdn.net, *.messenger.com, fb.com, *.fbcdn.net, *.fb.com, *.m.facebook.com, messenger.com, facebook.com Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

I have disabled SSL scanning on my antivirus, my clock is correct (it is synced to time.microsoft.com online), and I have tried deleting my cert9.db file in case it is corrupt. It's still happening, as recent as a few moments ago.

SNOOZE WONT WORK for MS CALENDAR or AOL/AIM CALENDAR. Is it to do with Firefox or MS updates or the merger/sales of Companies?

1st I thought it was because of updates. I noticed three MS Windows 10 updates failed to download. There are always messages of all kinds about that so no way to know if it's systemic. I played around and got the most current one to d/l and it's supposed to be CUMULATIVE so I don't think I should try and get the other two older ones from March/April 2018 to d/l. SNOOZE is still is not working after restart for updates.

It has been freezing up on and off lately. When it's slowed down at start up likely because it's running the morning scan and I keep trying to navigate somewhere and do some repetitive clicking I guess it's putting those clicks in queue while freezing. Then the only way to unfreeze it is to unplug it seems.

I then thought was it because I asked the AOL/AIM Calendar people how to get an audible REMINDER tone instead of just an email REMINDER msg and they somehow added the same pop-up reminders with the same audible tone.

I'm confused Is this because they're merging some things? I'm getting all kinds of notices of mergers that require I ACCEPT new terms etc. I can't analyze anymore because of my pain illness it is too complicated for me to follow. Yahoo is being bought by some company I don't recognise about May1. Aol/Aim tv schedule sent a message about merging with Yahoo and someone else. I'm confused. What am I to do? Anyone that can help please advise.
