Hi,

We currently use Firefox 52.1.2 in our environment. We have an antivirus that when installed plugs an add-on into Firefox.

By default it is disabled, is there a way to automatically enable this add-on without any user intervention?

I've searched online but I am unable to find a solution, if there is one can someone point me to the right direction?

Many thanks

The website in question is http://emgs.org It has two protected folders ... /331 and /dev - these are protected with cPanel Directory Privacy. The root folder is not protected. As part of the protection, some changes to the .htaccess file are made (ErrorDocument 401 /error.html and ErrorDocument 403/error.html) ... and the file error.html is in the root. If someone tries to access the /331 or /dev folders they are presented with a login panel ... if they can't complete it, they are served the error.html file.

The site is accessible from other browsers ... Chrome. Vivaldi, Pale Moon. Firefox can access other websites we manage (though on a different host) that have the same cPanel Privacy areas and settings.

I've cleared the Firefox cache and cookies. I've uninstalled Firefox and re-installed. I've tried several versions ... were were using the latest ESR version. This problem exists on all the other PCs with the same ESR version. If I load an old version of Firefox (say 49), then the website emgs.org IS accessible.

So ... what is it in the latest versions of ESR which are causing this particular website/host to throw a 403 error?

I've I remove the "ErrorDocument 403/error.html" line from .htaccess, I get the following error message:

Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

The hosting support say it is a browser issue as they are unable to reproduce with any other browser.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Regards, David

If I'm browsing a website with a link and I right click and select "open link in new tab/window" the new tab or window will be unable to load saying that the page crashed. In turn all of my other tabs will momentarily crash but be able to reload. How can I successfully open links in a new tab/window?

Hello. We have problem win Java and Firefox ESR 52.X my current configuration is: Windows 8.1 (64Bits) Firefox ESR 52.4.1 Java 7.80

I have tried different versions of firefox ESR52.2, 52.3, 52.4 and different JAVA 7.80, 7.25, 8.x but I always have the same message when I try to access a SAN Brocade Switch GUI.

the java is installed and shown in the plugins, in other pages it is activated java normally.

When I go back to Firefox ESR 45.9 with any java version I did not have this problem.

Every time I try to print something from an email, Firefox crashes, and a 'crash report' window is the only thing left on the screen. Attempting to send the report fails, but the Firefox apology appears and the item must be re-accessed by again going to the email service.

Hello. I'm very upset about your latest updates. I understand that you care about security and increase the requirements for sites. But not in all cases it is convenient for users! Why autocomplete of login and password for sites without SSL doesn't work??? Because of this, I have serious difficulties at work and at home, because I do not remember logins and passwords and I have to constantly go into settings, look for saved logins and passwords there and enter them manually !!!

At work, various web services are used within our company, not all of them work on SSL. Logins and passwords I had previously been saved to them, but yesterday the autocomplete of the login and password stopped working. Previously, it worked, although it issued a warning that the site is unsafe, and now does not work at all.

You should add to about: config the ability to constantly use autocomplete logins and passwords without restrictions, even for http sites, even for https.
