I am trying to configure Firefox so I can use my CAC card reader with it. My problem is when I try to load a module under Tools>Options>Advanced>Encryption>Security Devices. When I try to load acpkcs201.dll (or any of the other alternate .dll files) I get an error message that says "Unable to load module".

When I try to use the DoD Configuration 1.2 add-on from forge.mil, it also is unable to make this configuration.

The CAC reader and software works fine under Chrome and IE. The only problem is the .dll wont load up in Firefox using the add-on or manually.

Does anyone know how to make this module load properly?

I am using: Windows 7 x64 Firefox 3.6.9 SCR331 card reader ActivClient 6.2

It is a small but annoying problem. I, and sometimes friends, use my Gmail account to check their email. In the username window of Gmail, which I access with Firefox 3.6.9, a list of all past users shows up when I click in the window. I cleared Google cookies, and All history, but the list remains! I can hide the list, but not clear it, if I check 'Form and search history'. But the list is alive and well when I uncheck this option! Is there a way to get rid of the list?

On the rare occasions when Firefox crashes and I restart it I often end up getting the same problem that led to the initial crash because Firefox tries to restore all the windows from the previous session. I looked in the preferences but couldn't find a way to change this behavior. I don't want it to try and re-open old windows when it restarts, just go to my home page and let me reopen windows manually. Can I set that somehow?

Hello,

The problem is actually explained in the title. However, I'll repeat it with some modification.

When I type something in my address bar, I'm expecting to be redirected to Google search results, if entered string isn't an actual web address. That's what I'm used to for quite some time in FF now. As opposed, when I now enter something in address bar, I get this opened: http://something/ Obviously, not something that's much appreciated.

Please check this link before you direct me to set keyword search via about:config, because I think that this is the way it was before, while everything was working.

I'm a programmer, and I'm using regExp's to simplify my life in a chat thing. Basically, ":blue:" in a chat will essentially be replaced with "". because there can be all sorts of colors, I can't use replace. Instead, I used regExp.exec(string). However, there is a major bug where every other time, the regExp.exec returns null even if there IS a match. If the chat is ":blue:", the response will alternate as :blue:,null,:blue:,null, etc. If the chat is ":blue: :red:" (e.g. two color blocks) the response will go :blue:,null, null,:blue:,null, null and so on. Basically, if there are 'x' color blocks defined, the .exec will work every x+1 times, and the other times it will not find a match. this also happens with regExp.test. I have gone through my code hundreds of times, and finally, I decided to run it in Opera. It works PERFECTLY fine. even in IE, it works. So i had to assume it was some bug with Firefox.

I hope this question catches the attention of the MOZILLA DEVELOPERS, as this is huge.

I'm not sure if it's just me. However, I have uploaded an html file onto http://jsbattle.tablocks.com/Untitled-1.html (the subdomain had a different purpose, but i figured i would put it here), and it will alert :blue: and null (at least for me). You can view the source code. An important note is that this .exec and .test glitch only happens inside functions. for example, regExp.exec twice just in a script tag will run fine, but while in a function abc() {regExp.exec} and executing abc(); abc(); it'll glitch out. I have not run extensive tests to see when this glitch occurs, this is all I know. Please help, Mozilla Developers. And if anyone knows how to contact the Mozilla Developers, tell me, or address them of this issue.

I have use custom settings for history. I have checked accept cookies from sites and accept third party cookies. This problem keep recurring. Why? I check the Google search preferences I want and sometimes one of the preferences gets saved but not the number of results per page I prefer. Or, I get an error message that cookies are not enabled.

It is bad enough having to use Firefox NON-support to begin with. Then to find a fix and have the same problem recur over and over again is ludicrous.

I just upgraded to a new computer with Windows 7 and Outlook 2010. I'm running Firefox 3.6.9.

When I right click on a website and choose "Send link", Firefox correctly uses Outlook as the email client. However, I have several accounts configured in Outlook (gmail, my work account, my ISP account, etc) and the account Firefox uses is not the one I want to use. I want my gmail account to be the default, not my work account which is what it uses.

Outlook is correctly configured to have my gmail account as my default address. For example, if I choose "New email" from within Outlook, the account it uses is my gmail account. If I want to use another account, I have to manually change it.

I want my Firefox Mailto: to work the same way. I can't find anything within Firefox that allows me to specify which account Outlook uses; Outlook itself is set to use gmail as the default account; what am I doing wrong?
