How do I make Bing my default search engine? E.G., the FF home page has 'Google' above the space in which I can type my search query which of course takes me to 'Google'. How to change this to 'Bing'? That is my question.

Some links need to be opened with a middle-click in a new tab for me to see them, instead of just left-clicking to advance the page. It only occurs in Firefox, not in any other programs or Windows itself.

Every time I go to Wikia or Wikipedia or even signing in to my AIM mailbox OR even type the code in reCaptcha. I always encounter the strange characters issues instead. I tried to follow all the so called solutions provided but none ever work. I had to rely on Chrome to go to these websites because FF can't. I even hard-reset on my profile.

when I download numerous (30-50 files at once) files, firefox gets as many downloads simultaneously as possible (6-7 siml dwlds). I want to limit simultaneous download number to 2-3. could not find the option for that. I need it bec FFox occupies all connections and I can not use any other internet stuff that time.

is there a way to provide command line arguments when invoking profile manager so that I can seamlessly create a profile from one invocation? Passing profile name and profile location. I have to bypass user interaction with profile manager window. Thanks.

I may have inadvertently deleted or corrupted a few of my web certificates. Now when I start Firefox 3.6.13, I get a pop-up saying the a specific certificate is invalid. I cannot, for example, use the Firefox add-on Invisible Hand because its certificate is invalid. I've tried removing and re-installing Invisible Hand, but no luck .

How do I reload an invalid, missing, corrupt or out of date certificate?

I am having problems saving .pdf files from some websites (ex: Time Warner Cable) with Firefox. When I click on View or Save the .pdf, Firefox opens a new window, and I can see the document. However, sometimes it won't let me save it. When I go to the bottom of the document, the Adobe menu bar pops up, but when I hit the save icon, nothing happens (note: on rare occasions, hitting the save icon will open a dialog box and allow me to save the document; however, most frequently, it does nothing. Even on the same site - sometimes it allows me to save; sometimes it doesn't). There is noting in the Firefox window that will allow me to save either (just Move, Size, Minimize, Maximize, Close). Both Internet Explorer and Chrome allow me to save the .pdfs from these sites, so it is not a site problem.

Any thoughts?

In Safari it is possible to merge several open windows into 1 single window, with each window becoming a new tab within the new window, so you can easily switch from tab to tab. I cannot find how to do this in Firefox - does anyone know if it is possible? Thanks.

I have tried to export my Favoutires from my IE browser but all the I get is a Mozilla shortcut to Windows Media Player, nothing else transfers, so how do I export mozilla bookkmarks to a desktop folder that I can add to a Cd or memory stick to download to a new computer i will be getting soon?

If I type "NBA" into the address bar, I will get results from yahoo. I don't want yahoo results, I want Google results. This just started happening today. How do I get Google search results to show after typing into the address bar?

I have been getting a 403 forbidden error on a website that I could previously access. It always worked fine, but one day I just started getting this error message. I can access it from Safari and Chrome, but no longer from Firefox.

I know this is an odd one but I hope someone can help.

Basically I'm developing a website that takes user details using a snippet of java script.

I've figured that the easiest way to make sure my own visits are not counted is to disable java script in my browser as this is the only piece of javascript on the site so it won't affect any over functionality.

The problem is, I only want to disable it for when i visit this one website but not when i visit any other website.

Any ideas?

p.s. i have looked into ip address blocking and cookie blocking as alternative methods of not counting my views, i'm really just interested in the solution i've suggested above, thanks for the thought though :)

Upon entering my username and password, I used to press the tab key on my keyboard to move between clickable or button fields. This was possible on a previous versions of Firefox. Firefox 3.6.13 doesn't allow me to do this. When I press the TAB key on my keyboard after entering the username and password, the cursor jumps to the URL address box. It used to jump onto the OK button, which, then I would press enter to login. This happens with all sites. Also, the TAB key doesn't jump through ALL clickable URL fields. It was helpful/faster than using the mouse to click on the OK button. Can this be reverted to the way the previous Firefox used to do?

In addition to the Downloads window, I also get a little notification that appears from the taskbar to let me know that a download has completed. How can I disable it? I've checked Tools, Control Panel, the Taskbar options/properties, as well as the Add-on Manager (thinking maybe it was an extension that I added a while back). The option/feature doesn't show up anywhere. What am I missing here?? I want to turn it off.
