Is there any EASY way to view/print/edit cookie files that live in Firefox? The ones on the privacy tab under Options? The cookies.sqlite file seems too small to be them, but if it is, how do I view it? I realize they're cryptic, but there are opt-outs in there I want to keep, and a bunch more I'd like to dump. Thanks!

Uploaded numerous photos to Skydrive. When I go into my Hotmail account I cannot display any of them - the file names are displayed but no thumbnails. If I do the same with IE8 they are displayed with no problem. Seems to be a FF issue but have tried all the obvious checks on settings etc.

I operate on OSX 10.4.11 and had Firefox 3.6.12.

My bookmarks bar and time zone add-on dissapeared, I couldn't add bookmarks to my toolbar so downloaded Firefox 3.6.13 and my time zone add-on reapeared but my Bookmarks toolbar remains empty and I cannot add to it. I have not tried adding a bookmark so I don't know whether that would work.

This is not new question, I just clicked to check on something and lost all my info and could not retrieve it at all so I am starting over with my one major problem so it is not a new question but MY ONE and terribly important question. I believe this first developed when I upgraded to this Firefox version (3.6.13) I lost all of URL-bar! There was just enough space for star and flag(add-ons) but not even 1 mm of space for typing. I read at one spot that it was part of a Windows change that they never told would be an alteration of showing info in FF. I have used blue button for File, Edit, etc toolbar and that is fine just as soon not have that toolbar but went through the safe mode routine not to get menu-bar but would not have taken the action if I knew that my buttons were in danger as I need all my text buttons as well as ALL my toolbar buttons. I have the all text ones, thankfully, but not a one of buttons and I use so very many not one of those is showing anywhere. I have checked to see if they could be at end of any toolbar but they have disappeared completely. My crisis is that now I have URL bar back after doing "Firefox safe mode and reset of toolbars and controls" and now the text buttons are in place but not even one button. I use custom buttons2 and cute buttons SVG but have never used the SVG one as yet _at least I do not recall using that. I am in desperate shape as I simply cannot remain sane without access to my buttons! Please help! As far as next line-I already answered that and I do not want to close down FF for fear that this condition will become permanent.Quite frankly, after typing this 2 times for the first time I was asking and these areas seem redundant to me so I feel that I have explained repeatedly and hope that I have not left out important info this time but I think you have sufficient info to be able to give me some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

KeyScrambler from QFX Software is an app/extension that aims to defeat keylogger spyware by feeding gibberish to the keylogger. I installed the free version, 3 or four mos. ago on my XP Pro x86 SP3 system, found it in Get Add-ons I think; it works to encrypt keyboard output at low level, then decrypt when strokes reach the app (i.e., Firefox or M$ IE 8.0 browsers). Is not found in Add-ons Search now. Does this absence indicate Mozilla found a problem with later update version?

QFX Software the vendor. ($$cost "Pro" version works for docs in Word, etc. I'm on layoff over a year and need cheap.) Updated v2.6 seems to be working well - but new update available and is not found in Add-ons searches recent weeks. Does this make KeyScrambler a bad ext? Or, am I mistaken about Add-ons having it in past?

In 3.x I discovered and actively used the feature [right click on image]-Block images from [web site]. My screen was kept clean of annoying ads, especially animated gifs. Now that I upgraded one of my PCs to 4.0 it's nowhere to be found. To block images, I have to open image info, copy the address, and paste it going through Tools-Options menu. Even though I like 4.0 in general, most likely I'll postpone the upgrade on other boxes, and probably revert to 3.x the one already upgraded. Is there any chance to get the image blocking feature in future release of 4.x? Troubleshooting info will not help - this is being typed on the PC not yet upgraded.

Ctrl-Enter has always been a standard feature in the navigation bar (URL / address bar). For example you type only "getfirefox" in the bar then press Ctrl-Enter and it autofills the http://www and the .com and submits the request, so you are taken to http://www.getfirefox.com without having to type anything other than "getfirefox" and Ctrl-Enter.

This stopped working when I updated to 3.6.13. Also I cannot type a full URL and simply press Enter to submit it. The only way I can cause the browser to go to the URL I entered is to manually put the mouse cursor on the "right arrow" icon at the right end of the URL window and click that icon.

As you can imagine, this is really annoying. I disabled all of my addons (I suspected Firebug or Web Developer of causing the problem) and the problem still persisted anyway. I reinstalled Firefox 3.6.13 and the problem is still the same. I wonder if it has anything to do with Firefox 4 beta being installed on my system. But I don't try to use them at the same time.

Now, you can make bookmarks by either

  • clicking Bookmarks - Add a bookmark, whereafter you have to pick a location for the bookmark, or
  • you can rightclick a bookmark (on the Bookmark Toolbar or in the Bookmark dropdown) and select Add Bookmark, whereafter you can fill in the boxes for address and page name, but at least the location will already be selected

The latter rightclick should bring up a box that was already filled with the address and name of the current page instead of being blank.

Windows 7 on Dell laptop i5 intel. Tried uninstall/install of Firefox 3.6 latest version, no change.

Pop up appears when Back button clicked - A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://canitbecheaper/content/browser_wrapper.js:49

Continue or Stop don't fix the hang. I have not installed Chome.

Two replies received - uninstalled invisiblehand and all seems ok now - thanks all
