Hi, I am not able to find a way to change the interface language of Firefox. Is there any way to change the language that Firefox interface/GUI is displayed.

Is downloading and installing the Firefox with the language the only solution?

If there isn't a way, it seems an obvious enhancement.

Lately, the proxy authentication dialog keeps popping up every now and then. This is incredibly annoying: even though my credentials are remembered, I still have to click OK, sometimes a few times before I can proceed viewing the website. Sometime the dialog from a website on a different (background) tab pops up and disturbs me while viewing another website.

My setup is as follows: Currently, I'm using Firefox 31.0 on openSUSE 13.1 I have a cntlm proxy set up and set as my system's proxy (http_proxy and KDE's proxy settings) at http://localhost:3128 which works correctly in other applications. I tried using two settings in FF: 'Use system proxy settings' and 'Manual proxy configuration'. I tried both, checking and unchecking 'Do not prompt for authentication if password is saved' I tried a suggestion from the web, setting signon.autologin.proxy to true. I tried some proxy addon which promised to solve the issue.

None of these worked in preventing that incredibly annoying proxy authentication dialog from poppin g up (although, at times it *seemed* that I didn't get if for a longer time (that was after making the about:config modification mentioned above)).

I remember times on this machine when that did not happen, but I can't remember what I've changed that it's broken now (probably it was some FF update?).

Please, help me! I'm lost and it makes my FF very uncomfortable to use. I need some suggestions on how to configure FF in a way that *should* work, i.e. which combinations of the settings I mentioned above, or other ones I haven't considered yet.

Howdy,

I run a Private Certificate Authority for my personal use and just to learn about SSL Certs. However, with the current build of FireFox I'm on ( 31 ) I can no longer visit sites I've secured with SSL Certs signed by this certificate authority, even though these SSL certs work just perfectly fine in Chrome and Internet Explorer. I keep getting a "sec_error_inadequate_cert_type" error. I can only assume that the certs I've been issuing are incorrect in some way, but the error is so vague and the error page doesn't specify more.

I only discovered this when I realized some of my SSL certs had expired, and I went to re-issue them.

One of the certs that hasn't expired yet but is experiencing problems can be found here:

One of the Certs I've tried re-issuing, matching fields included as closely as I can to a Google SSL cert that I looked up is here:

These certificates were generated using the application called SimpleAuthority, found here: http://simpleauthority.com/

A Site like Networking4All.com seems to believe the Certs are valid, excepting the CA that is Self Signed: http://www.networking4all.com/en/support/tools/site+check/report/?fqdn=phpmyadmin.endofevolution.com&protocol=https

Interestingly enough, using a different site like SSLShopper shows an error similar to FF31: http://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=https://phpmyadmin.endofevolution.com

The certs are running on an Apache Web server: Apache/2.2.21 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/1.0.0e PHP/5.3.10

The CA Cert is in FireFox's store as trusted.

If needed, I can provide certs.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox (31.0) on Windows 8.1 Pro. I wanted to imitate OS X way of scrolling in the browser window called "natural" scrolling. I edited the registry setting for my logitech mouse and the scrolling works perfectly the way I wanted in every single window on my system with only one exception, Firefox browser. Somehow Firefox is set to use old way of scrolling and doesn't respect the windows registry settings, like every other window. Is there a way to change or reverse scrolling direction?

thank you Roman

WIN XP. Have checked file association settings and pdf files are directed towards using Adobe reader. Completed uninstall of FFox31 and icons changed back to Adobe. Cleaned computer and carried out clean install. Icons remained as pdf for two restarts and then changed back to FFox icons. Everything works normally but the icons remain as FFox. Have set FFox application options to 'always ask' temporarily. I have a second WinXP machine that has upgraded to FFox 31 without this problem. Strange!

Hello,

When I request Firefox to open a webpage on my own website using the http:// protocol Firefox still uses the https:// protocol. This is on my own website so I have control over the redirect/rewrite settings and there is no setting that I know off. Furthermore Internet Explorer just loads the page via http:// when I type the URL in the address bar. Chrome does it fine as well.

I have tried disabling the autoFill and autocomplete for the URLbar, I even cleared my history. I have also check with the developer tools (F12) and the NET console, Firefox never requests the page using http:// but directly using https:// despite my efforts typing the URL with http://.

   "browser.urlbar.autoFill": false,
   "browser.urlbar.trimURLs": false,
   "browser.urlbar.autoFill.typed": false,
   "browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled": false,

I have checked with an external site for the headers and they are just 200 OK for the http url I'm trying to reach.

If need I can write the link so you can test for yourself.

Thanks for your help. Regards

Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<configuration>

   <system.web>
       <customErrors mode="Off"/>
   </system.web>

</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<configuration>

   <system.web>
       <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
   </system.web>

</configuration>
