G'day, Yesterday I updated Firefox to which ever is the most current version (29) I have always had adblocker on my Firefox and it normally works and yesterday it was working fine pior to the update. However it doesn't appear to be working at all as I am getting ads on YouTube video's, one of the things adblocker is meant to remove as well as standard annoying adverts on many of the webpages I have visited, and visit regularly, which previously adblocker had dealt with and removed.

The first thing I did, as Ive heard that folk can get adverts from malware, I ran a security check of my system and it was all clear, no issues what so ever, so what I am wondering is if adblocker itself is needing updating or if there is something I am required to do ect.

Starting about a week ago, seemingly at random tabs will open on their own. They always try connecting to the URL mentioned in the title. Now, this obviously won't resolve because that isn't a valid URL. This only seems to happen when firefox is already open, and isn't affected by running firefox in safe mode. I've ran some scans and haven't found anything, I've been through my startup processes and nothing is amiss there either. I feel I should also mention that this is only happening in firefox, I've left Internet Explorer open for a few hours to see if anything would happen and nothing did. Funnily enough it's just happened in the time it's taken me to type all of this out. That's about all I can think to add. I hope someone can get to the bottom of this.

I am using Windows XP PRO SP 3.0 32 bit I am trying to download an anti virus programme & keep on getting this message,

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I am logged on as Administrator, so what's it all mean? And, HOW CAN I FIX IT, please....???? Also, regarding the info below, (Add-on called Troubleshooter) How can a non-techie oldie user understand any of this info? Way beyond my understandings!

I'm firefox loyal user plz help. After upgrade to new version of firefox i.e. 29.0.1 my FACEBOOK videos are not working. just black screen appear and box show loading icon but nothing happen.. i wait for a long time for a small video but it is not work.. Youtube video run perfectly, i have uptodate version of flash player.. hope you should do this fast.. thanks

After updating to Firefox 29.0, firefox.exe *32 process keeps running after application exit, and must be terminated manually before Firefox will re-start. The update to 29.0.1 did not solve the issue. All updates prior to 29.0 never exhibited this problem, and there have been no other changes to my system, so this issue originated with 29.0.

This has only started happening this week?

Like so many others, I find the ongoing and worsening memory leaks a real disappointment -and now getting worse since V28 on both of my W7 machines.

I am now on FFox V30, and while it starts out at about 300MB, after a few hours it grows to be typically 2.xGB.

I have run the about:memory several times, but don't know how to use the results to any advantage. It appears that about 7 tabs each use about a 1/3-GB of memory.

I typically will have 5-6 windows open, a total of 20-30 tabs.

I have seen several threads on this, but none with any resolution, and dating back to V4 (about 2006)!

Is there any hope, or way to resolve, or just need to jump to Chrome?

After upgrading to the latest version, 30.0, the right-click functions to Open link in New Tab or New Window stopped working. When I click the link that I would like to open in new tab or window, the right click window appears, I click on the desired function, and the right click window closes and nothing happens.

I restarted in safe mode and the problem remains. I am using Windows XP. I also tried uninstalling Firefox and then doing a clean re-install and that didn't help.

For now I went back to using version 29.0.1. Yes, I know that it isn't as safe but I can't use Version 30. without the right-click options!!!

I really wish the developers would focus on fixing bugs, vulnerabilities, etc. and leave the basic functions alone! The old saying if it isn't broken don't "fix" it!!!!!

Firefox won't let me open a new tab. If I right click something and say open in new tab it will do it but when I go to the tabs and click the "+" button nothing will happen. How can I solve this?

Hi! I'm using Firefox 29.0.1 on Windows 8, (also up-to-date), and Flash plug-in won't work. I re-downloaded & installed Adobe Flash 13.0.0.214...I verified it on their website, but I can't get the plugin to work. I had no problem with it earlier today, but for some reason it won't work anymore. PLEASE HELP! Thank you, Nuts4Mutts  :(

This happens on multiple computers using various operating systems and versions of Firefox. Many web pages have the fonts rendered poorly. It even happens on Mozilla's web pages, including this one I am entering this in, right now.

I have turned off "Use hardware acceleration when available" and restarted firefox, and that makes no difference.

I don't know what I did. But the menu button from the new firefox that I just downloaded is gone. How do I get it back? How can I rearrange items in the toolbar? I thought you could just drag and drop them. Now, there's no reload button, the home button is way off to the right, the address bar takes up too much space. How can I get the flexibility of the old firefox back?

Firefox 29.0.1 Shockwave flash plugin 13.0.0.214 Windows 7 Professional service pack 1

I keep both Firefox and plugins up to date. Lately the shockwave flash plugin frequently crashes on youtube videos. Also some issues with a CMS system I need to use.

I can switch to chrome and watch the videos ok but I'd rather stay in firefox.

My firefox was just updated. Since then I have noticed that links do not react fast enough and sometimes not at all. This is very annoying. If it continues, I think I will switch to another browser.

Firefox 29 (and now 29.0.1). First -- I have QuickProxy 2009.07.19 as an Add-On but its button/icon is nowhere. Not in Customize so cannot move it onto the Toolbar (or whatever the toolbar is called these days). So where is QuickProxy's button/icon?

The above is the "important" question.

Second -- the Add-On icons I do have are spread out a bit too much so they cramp the URL window to the left. (Icons only - no text.) Must they be so spread out?

I have had a problem with FF crashing when I print. This happens in Safe mode, as well as standard. Following instructions, I reset FF. No crash. I reset the home page to one of my choice, and crash occurred. I tried a couple of others (after resetting, again,) and the same thing happened.

This may be something to look at. As long as I have the default home page in place, I can print.

Under "tools"/"options"/"general" I've changed my homepage to Bing.com & designated this as my "start page" however whenever I open a new tab the FireFox Google Search Page always comes up and I must click the "home" icon in order to get my Bing Home Page to load. This is a step I would rather skip. What must I do to get FireFox to open immediately in my designated home page?

When I click on a link in Bing,com Images, it goes to a website with lots of popups. I can't seem to prevent them from occuring.

Is there a way I can block this website from starting to open in the first place?

I am having problems logging into Twitter on Firefox 29.0.1 The problem is not occurring within Chrome, so it is not a problem with my account or Twitter itself.

Is anyone having the same problem since updating? Can anyone help?
