When attempting to use Ebay, Paypal, or even Firefox Add-ons the reported version is incorrect. Ebay and Paypal give a message on each page to the effect: your browser is old and is no longer supported. For Add-ons all of the ones I have tried the add on page reports: This add-on requires newer version of Firefox (at least version 55.0). you are using Firefox 17.0.

About Firefox reports Firefox Quantum 69.0.3 How do I resolve this?

Using Win XP - on a Pentium 4 PC Firefox 17.9 ESR (I know this is an outdated version, but I have to use this version so my Robo-form filler will work. When I attempted to upgrade Firefox, Robo-form stopped working. I can not afford a new version of Robo-form right now.) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

When I woke today my previous firefox session was gone. I had 2 windows open before closing the last session. I may have closed them in the wrong order; I can't remember. I do have "show my last session when opening Firefox" selected in options > Preferences. This has happened before and I was always able to go to "History" and select restore all windows. This time all that was greyed out. Once before, a long time ago, this same thing happened and I was able to use a Windows restore Point and everything was fine afterward. This time it did not work. I went back 2 more days to select a different Restore Point, and that didn't work. So I restored Windows back to the present.

Now I'm looking for a solution that does not involve using sessionstore.bak, because it does not contain the previous session that I'm looking for. However, there are a number of files in my Firefox profile folder named sessionstore-1.js, sessionstore-2.js, etc, thru sessionstore-12.js ; All with different dates ranging from 10 days ago to more than a year ago. (photo of folder included)

I do know about the Session Manager add-on, but am unsure if this app will allow me to select a previous session that was there before the add-on installation. I also know about https://firefox-session-restore.herokuapp.com/ , but that site seems to be offline. And then there's the http://nicbedford.co.uk/software/systemrestoreexplorer/ which I read does not support Win XP very well or not at all. Although in some places it lists System Restore Explorer as winXP compatible. After reading numerous articles about Session Restore I have not been able to clearly discern the correct fix. I realize now, that if I had done things differently to begin with, this would have been a lot easier. However, I am confident that you guys will be able to help me put things right! Thanks in advance. ~ft

when I go to https://myibidder.com, I get "Secure Connection Failed...(Error code: sec_error_keygen_fail).", but without the security exception links.

When I try to add the exception manually with "edit->advanced->encryption->view certificates->servers->add exception", I get "No information available...unable to obtain identficiation status for the given site"

There are no problems with this site with the Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers. This is only a problem with Firefox.

does anybody have and ideas about this?

Hello,

I have a series of computers that run mozilla firefox. For some reason, firefox's cookie handling is turned off by default for everyone that would use a computer. I can enable it on a per-user basis, but that is tedious. Not to mention it totally confounds end users as to why some web-sites do not work. Is there a way to enable cookies for all users of a computer without having to re-sysprep and copy over a new default profile to each of the computers? Something in about:config maybe?

I have a number of tabs open for resources that I need for a project. I will not be working on that project every day so I don't need to always restore from a previous session. But if I have a session without those tabs then the current tabs will become the previous session. So the general question is how to store the session I have in order to restore it not in the next session but in a session that follows it?
