not really a request for help since release 147.0.3 searches handoff to awesome and can't be changed by using about:config dropping back to 145.0.2 allows prevention

I am using Firefox on my MacOS Tahoe. There is a persistent annoying issue where whenever I close (physically fold) my laptop screen and reopen it, Firefox will be frozen. It will be frozen in the sense that I am unable to interact with any tabs or anything until I manually quit Firefox and reopen it (which automatically reopens all my tabs), making it usable again. This doesn't happen every time I close and reopen my Mac, but it definitely happens the majority of the time and makes the browser hard to use.

I've attached a screenshot of what a new window looks like when Firefox is frozen. It looks just like a Firefox window when unfocused.

Notes:

• It doesn't entirely freeze Firefox. In fact, I can "switch" to a different tab by clicking on the tab and then shutting and reopening my laptop again. The new tab will show on reopening but Firefox will still be frozen. This process can be repeated.
• I can pretty consistently replicate the bug by shutting my laptop, waiting 10 seconds, and reopening it. This will almost always result in the freeze.
• The bug still happens if I'm not focused on the Firefox window but on a different app.
• The bug doesn't seem to happen if I just lock my screen but don't shut it closed.

Things I've tried that haven't fixed it:

• Updating my OS.
• Restarting my laptop.
• Disabling hardware acceleration.
• Disabling themes and extensions.
• Deleting and reinstalling Firefox, including deleting the user data in the "Library/Application Support" folder.

Let me know if there's any more information I can provide or fixes I can try. Also let me know if I should go ahead and file a Firefox bug report for this. Thank you.

I use Firefox for privacy, lack of bloat, and other ethical reasons. For these reasons, I don't want to have the new CEO keep the incorrect idea in his head that the people who use Firefox want AI. Please don't add more AI, if anything--- please remove the AI which has already been added to Firefox which users have to remove themselves. I will dump Firefox if the new CEO continues with this plan.

From "About" on the Firefox menu I am trying to download the update from 145.0.2 but it is stalled at 27.1 of 31.3 MB. The little pair of spinning arrows icon just keeps spinning without making any further progress. I'm on a 2020 iMac running Sonoma 14.5 My internet connection is still functioning. I'm wondering what I should do. Is there a way to just cleanly stop and start over? Or stop and continue.

I just bought new PC and switched to win11(never happened on win10). Videos stutter when on 2nd monitor and game is open on first, but audio doesn't. Problem goes away immediately when clicking to the firefox window. Happens on both youtube and twitch, but not on Nebula.tv and not on chrome. Doesn't happen if the video is 480p, but does on 720 and 1080 and both of them are 60fps which might be something. Also doesn't happen if the game is windowed, but does on fullscreen and borderless.

I've disabled hardware acceleration (in windows and browser). I've tried setting both monitors to 60hz, setting firefox priority to high (and game to low), disabling effiency mode, setting power mode to performance and tried a lot of other things including about:config settings. Also ruled out extensions.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X GPU: RTX5070 1st monitor: 180hz 2nd: 80hz

I’m reaching out because I’ve been experiencing persistent loading delays on Firefox across all websites. Pages eventually load, but it consistently takes longer than it should or don't load at all, can't even log in on some sites such as Twitch. At first, I thought the issue was only on YouTube, but I’ve confirmed it affects all websites.

I’ve already gone through extensive troubleshooting steps, including: Clearing cookies and cache Changing DNS providers (tried both Cloudflare and Google DNS) Using the Firefox Refresh option Fully reinstalling Firefox Scanning my system for malware (none detected) Verifying that no extensions or add-ons are installed Confirming my internet connection and speed are stable Testing the same sites in Chrome, where everything loads smoothly Despite all of this, the problem persists only in Firefox. Firefox is preventing me from going to certain websites because it is telling me I am using adblocker but I have none installed.. I am trying to play around with the settings but I still can't do it. Is there an inbuilt adblocker? I need help please...

its pretty much what it says on the tin, im not seeing my channel points in chat

 i have turned off all the tracking stuff 

i turned off the enhanced tracking and i still cannot see or earn my channel points i have turned my site security to nothing to see if that would do anything I have turned off all my add-ons and they just dont show can anyone tell me whats happening here

you asked me to change my profile, choose a color and I did. But when I wanted to Firefox, all my old password and bookmarks had disappeared. I want them back if I am going to continue to use Firefox as my favorite browser.
