What version of Firefox actually allows you to add extensions? I'm running the most current version of Tumbleweed that ships with 144.0. Attempts to add extensions just sit there doing nothing until I close the tab. This sort of worked some time ago (I forget the version) but the inability of Firefox to allow add-ons/extensions is getting to be a joke. There are other browsers out there, ya know.

I have years of bookmarks that have disappeared and my history is missing. Firefox opens with the tabs that were open when it shut down. I really want my bookmarks back.

Hello. I am using Linux Mint 21.3 cinnamon and Firefox 144.0.2 When I use Google maps and the yellow small pointer (cartoon) to go on a specific street, the window come black when shifting to street view. My only extension is disabled, hardware acceleration unchecked, cache cleared and cookies cleared. I have made fresh install and nothing help. Troubleshooting mode allow street view to work fine but normal mode don't work. Google chrome work good. Chromium work good. And finally, Firefox work ok on my Linux mint LMDE 6.

Any idea where to go to solve this issue?

Hello I have Firefox 144.0 (64-bit) installed. I added Video DownloadHelper to Firefox, but its icon doesn't appear in the Firefox toolbar. I've tried using Toolbar Customization, but the Video DownloadHelper icon doesn't appear there either, so I can't drag it to the toolbar. Can you help me put the Video DownloadHelper icon on the Firefox toolbar? Thank you

This is both a settings issue, and a privacy and security issue. I want to disable the google lens context menu item to protect my security and privacy from constant AI monitoring. I've almost accidentally clicked the new option before and I don't want to send photos or images to google's AI unless I specifically intend to do so.

I feel like Mozilla is interfering with people's privacy more and more, taking away features from their users, adding features we don't want, butting in and telling us how our browsers should work. This is starting to become absurd. Now you've added AI into the browser that can control how your tabs are displayed and named even, a setting I found while trying to disable Google Lens.

There's a couple other settings I need to figure out how to disable too, such as the context menu of translate and the ChatGPT context menu items. I just removed ChatGPT and a new AI chat bot option appeared. Just wow. What the hell Mozilla. Is your intention to just turn your browser into one big spyware?

Give me the option to disable all of this stuff you keep adding. I have a policy thats supposed to disable your auto updates too but YOU disabled that as well allowing you to install all this malware/spyware into my machine without my authorization.

In the DevToolbox, the “Copy all as HAR” and “Create file...” functions are not working. It seems that in both cases, only empty space is placed in the clipboard and in the file (this has been happening since the last update).

I am a pensioner in te UK. Due to restricted mobility I spend a lot of time using Firefox to access many web sites. This normally works perfectly. Today I tried to access the web site of national chain store specialising in outdoor clothing and equipment because I need a new showerproof jacket. I have never used that site before, yet Firefox reported Error 403 : Forbidden. Have you people never been told tat error messages are supposed to be useful? What is Forbidden. Why when it has not happemed before?

I tried Chromium, same error but the message said You are not authorised to access this site. Presumably that is what your incompetent message should have said. But why should a pensioner trying to buy something from a chain store ever need any sort of authorisation?

Clearly somebody somewhere is an incompetent idiot, but it isn't me. So who is it? If it is yourselves then please do something to fix this.

I'm using the AI Chatbots plugin in the sidebar and I'm trying to log into Claude, but the plugin keeps asking for a verification code and Anthropic only sends a magic link email which doesn't work in this situation.

I read firefox is dropping linux 32. Are there any alternatives?

I only use the internet to watch youtube videos.

I don't feel like having to buy a new laptop for this.

Hello, I have just installed Firefox version 144.0.2 on a new computer. I have access to all of the Firefox files and data on the original computer, but I am not able to run Firefox on that computer. Therefore, I am not able to create an export file from the original installation. Is it possible for me to import all of the original Firefox data into the new installation? every download gets stopped with "This file contains a virus or malware", have to click on the file, then click "allow download" every time!

I check the file with my antivirus and it finds NOTHING!

I rebooted my laptop with both firefox windows I had open and possibly a private window too, then rebooted again without touching firefox, and now I can only restore one of the two windows. I checked my recently closed windows in history and there was nothing there at all. Is there anything I can do at all to restore that other window or is it just gone for good now?

I have recently encountered reproducible failures when attempting to download files or save pages to local storage. The target directory is located on a mounted NTFS file system with the options umask=007, user=root, and group=disk. My Firefox browser is running under a non-root user account that is a member of the disk group. However, I consistently receive the error message: “XXX could not be saved because the source file could not be read.”

I would greatly appreciate anyone's assistance in resolving this issue.

Firefox used to save unknown files according to the save files setting. i.e. ask where to save files. Now if opens unknown files as text in a new tab.

How can the correct behavior be restored?

Alternately, can the Linux snap be fixed to allow saving of new file types? {The procedure shown in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-firefox-behavior-when-open-file is not present in the firefox 141 snap.

My version of Firefox wont save History, Bookmarks or Downloads. I've made sure the privacy settings are correct and have tried reinstalling Firefox several times. It also wont let me drag a link from the address bar to the bookmark bar anymore like it used to. Any help with this would be much appreciated... Thanks!

I INSTALLED THE FREQUENT FIREFOX UPDATES BUT THE PROBLEN PERSISTED EVER SINCE VERSIONS 42X WERE RELEASED. I TRIED THE 32-BIT VERSION BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. FINALLED, I TRIED THE DEVELOPER VERSION: NO MORE CRASHES! I READ THE RESPONSES FROM YOUR CLUELESS STAFF TO OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME TROUBLE. THIS IS NOT A WINDOWS ERROR; THIS IS A FIREFOX APPLICATION ERROR. MAYBE SOME OF YOUR FIREFOX DEVELOPER CODERS SHOULD ASSIST THE 32-BIT AND 64-BIT DEVELOPERS. OR, DUMP THE VERSION 4X CODE AND BUILD ON THE MORE STABLE 39X CODE. ALSO, DON'T BLAME WINDOWS FOR FIREFOX APPLICATION ERRORS. AND...NEVER SUGGEST A WINDOWS REINSTALL FOR FIREFOX ERRORS!!!
