What version of Firefox actually allows you to add extensions? I'm running the most current version of Tumbleweed that ships with 144.0. Attempts to add extensions just sit there doing nothing until I close the tab. This sort of worked some time ago (I forget the version) but the inability of Firefox to allow add-ons/extensions is getting to be a joke. There are other browsers out there, ya know.

This is both a settings issue, and a privacy and security issue. I want to disable the google lens context menu item to protect my security and privacy from constant AI monitoring. I've almost accidentally clicked the new option before and I don't want to send photos or images to google's AI unless I specifically intend to do so.

I feel like Mozilla is interfering with people's privacy more and more, taking away features from their users, adding features we don't want, butting in and telling us how our browsers should work. This is starting to become absurd. Now you've added AI into the browser that can control how your tabs are displayed and named even, a setting I found while trying to disable Google Lens.

There's a couple other settings I need to figure out how to disable too, such as the context menu of translate and the ChatGPT context menu items. I just removed ChatGPT and a new AI chat bot option appeared. Just wow. What the hell Mozilla. Is your intention to just turn your browser into one big spyware?

Give me the option to disable all of this stuff you keep adding. I have a policy thats supposed to disable your auto updates too but YOU disabled that as well allowing you to install all this malware/spyware into my machine without my authorization.

Hello, I have just installed Firefox version 144.0.2 on a new computer. I have access to all of the Firefox files and data on the original computer, but I am not able to run Firefox on that computer. Therefore, I am not able to create an export file from the original installation. Is it possible for me to import all of the original Firefox data into the new installation? I read firefox is dropping linux 32. Are there any alternatives?

I only use the internet to watch youtube videos.

I don't feel like having to buy a new laptop for this.

Firefox used to save unknown files according to the save files setting. i.e. ask where to save files. Now if opens unknown files as text in a new tab.

How can the correct behavior be restored?

Alternately, can the Linux snap be fixed to allow saving of new file types? {The procedure shown in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-firefox-behavior-when-open-file is not present in the firefox 141 snap.

every download gets stopped with "This file contains a virus or malware", have to click on the file, then click "allow download" every time!

I check the file with my antivirus and it finds NOTHING!

I rebooted my laptop with both firefox windows I had open and possibly a private window too, then rebooted again without touching firefox, and now I can only restore one of the two windows. I checked my recently closed windows in history and there was nothing there at all. Is there anything I can do at all to restore that other window or is it just gone for good now?

When I go to (seemingly) any Elsevier site, the browser tab immediately closes with no error or explanation. An example is this site:

So a funny story happened today, I used CC cleaner to help clean my PC now I have it set up so it does not touch Mozilla in anyway yet after an update those settings got wiped and when I used the program it wiped out everything I had in Mozilla, history, saved passwords, tabs, EVERYTHING.

The last time I made a backup to my bookmarks was 6 months ago, a lot has changed since then, I tried to use the restore function however those also got wiped out, so I decided to use the old bookmarks, yet it doesn't work, for some reason it tells me that it doesn't have any bookmark data in the file yet Chrome can read and import the bookmarks from the file, if I try importing stuff from Chrome it also comes up empty, as an experiment I made a new export from Mozilla and tried to import it and got the same error. I still have 2 bookmarks and those can't be deleted no matter what I do, I kept trying to delete them however they are stuck there no matter what I try. This laptop is a new one I got on the cheap after my laptop had a problem with it's hard drive, I made the backup right before the switch.

Does anyone have any ideas about what exactly happened and keeps happening?

I INSTALLED THE FREQUENT FIREFOX UPDATES BUT THE PROBLEN PERSISTED EVER SINCE VERSIONS 42X WERE RELEASED. I TRIED THE 32-BIT VERSION BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. FINALLED, I TRIED THE DEVELOPER VERSION: NO MORE CRASHES! I READ THE RESPONSES FROM YOUR CLUELESS STAFF TO OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME TROUBLE. THIS IS NOT A WINDOWS ERROR; THIS IS A FIREFOX APPLICATION ERROR. MAYBE SOME OF YOUR FIREFOX DEVELOPER CODERS SHOULD ASSIST THE 32-BIT AND 64-BIT DEVELOPERS. OR, DUMP THE VERSION 4X CODE AND BUILD ON THE MORE STABLE 39X CODE. ALSO, DON'T BLAME WINDOWS FOR FIREFOX APPLICATION ERRORS. AND...NEVER SUGGEST A WINDOWS REINSTALL FOR FIREFOX ERRORS!!!

I was using my account for sync my bookmarks, but i hope that was saved in my phone. After check CCleaner deleted all from my laptop, i realize that was also deleted from my mobile. ¿How i can recover all my bookmarks that was sync in my account?

Hello. I can't access the Western Union website through Modzyl. The site opens on Edge. I disabled all add-ons, the browser tries to open the site and reloads the request constantly. How to solve this problem?

The picture-in-picture setting use to keep the detached video visible if I scrolled the original or source page past the video player. Now the detached video disappears and reverts back to the source page when I scroll this control out of view. Is this change intentional and permanent?

When right-clicking on a tab and choosing Move Tab, the option for a new window has gone MIA from the tab context menu. It still shows To Start and To End. Is there a config option that got changed?
