I have contacted Microsoft. After testing the link/page loads in Edge, Chome (with and without addins same in ff) and Brave. But does not load in FF (with addon's disabled) nor in Private browsing FF (no addins obviously) they said to reach out to FireFox for support. I tried in edge (regular, not private) and it plays the stupid slideshow with music just fine, and I can get out of it and view the regular memory page that I want (Music really!? What if you’re viewing while someone around you is asleep? Or otp in public??? While using an opened tab which I want to keep in place, I find it frustrating that if I want to click on one of my bookmarks in my toolbar, it uses the tab I am currently in which, of course disappears and is overridden with my selection of a bookmark. Is there a setting for me to change how my choosing of a bookmark reacts? I want it to open in a new tab and not on the one I am working with. I have looked everywhere and I cannot find a setting for this.

i switched the download folder to the "desktop",but still it saves whatever i download in the "default" folder of downloads....even when i checked that it actually in the settings says it was changed....im using Firefox142.0.1 (64-bit)

when I try to access the Gallery photos page on OneDrive, especially in the 'For you' section, I get a gray screen and nothing happens. When I check the console, it shows the issues I've captured in the screenshot. I tried this on Mac and Ubuntu with a fresh profile and a clear internet connection. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? Firefox Version is the latest 142.0.1 No problem with Vivaldi, Chrome etc.

Hi, I'm using Firefox 142 on Ubuntu 24.04. It's a fresh install. I cannot sign in icloud.com with Firefox even though it works with other browsers like Brave. I deleted all cookies and site data and disabled extensions (KeePassXC). It doesn't help. I tried in new private window. No success. I copy my password from a password manager, so, no, I haven't mistyped it.

Here's what I do:

1. Open Firefox and go to icloud.com
2. Click on the "Sign In" button
3. Enter my Apple-ID and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Email or Phone Number" field

At this point Brave behaves differently than Firefox. See below for how Brave behaves.

Firefox: -> A "Password" field appears (no buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey")

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> Error message "Failed to verify your identity. Try again" appears. See icloud.png

Brave: -> Two buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey" appear. See icloud-with-brave.png

1. Click on button "Continue with Password"

-> A "Password" field appears.

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> 2FA code is sent to my iPhone -> "Two-Factor Authentication" form opens... etc. complete sign in successfully

Unfortunately I cannot attach the HAR file from the login sequence because the password is included. However, I attached some screenshots from the Web Developer Tools. It seems to me that the login flow with Firefox is broken. I can't tell who's to blame, Apple of Firefox. The error message with Firefox is always the same, no matter whether I enter the correct password or rubbish. In Brave, however, there is a more precise error message when I enter a bad password. If I have taken photos in past years on a particular date, I get an email from Microsoft to review them. I normally do it on my phone, but today tried it from my computer. The path is "One Drive" "Photos" "Moments" and then "On This Day." If you click on the photos that in the graphic that looks like a movie strip, a montage of the photos shows up and you can also click on one. However, in Firefox, I click on a picture and the screen goes gray, but nothing ever loads. I thought it was a Microsoft issue so used their help function. The rep and I tried it, then cleared the cache, then tried it in a private setting. We got the same result every time. Then he tried it whatever Microsoft's browser is called and it worked just fine. They said it was a problem on the Mozilla Firefox end, so I'm reporting it. Please let me know if you can help me make it work. I don't like using anything except Firefox.

Hello All -

Over the years I have saved many bookmarks across several different devices. Therefore the bookmarks vary between devices. Is there any way that I can tidy up my bookmarks, deleting many of them, on my main machine and then have all the other devices Synch to that list only?

I have tried deleting ALL the bookmarks on the "subsidiary" devices and then synched them but that didn't work. I think I'm asking whether one device can be made the "master" for all the others to Synch to that one and none of the others.

I moved to the Firefox flatpack after the Debian version couldn't display the code inspector/ web developer tools anymore (it was blank amid other likely javascript-based rendering errors). I only include this context in case some one else has the issue and searches for it.

I want to sync all my tabs from the Debian version to the flatpack version and similar to this solved issue I cannot access those tabs from the firefox view. However I am also unable to access these tabs from the sidebar. I am only able to access these tabs from the account menu but this would have me open each tab individually which is not feasible for me.

Is there a way to fix the "Check your internet connection If you’re using a firewall or proxy, check that Firefox has permission to access the web." error that comes up in both the Tabs from other devices sidebar and Firefox View menu?

I've yet to test on other sites and haven't found any solutions while looking it up, every 3d element is shown as a black box, I don't really have any other way to describe it

I recently installed Win 11 on a new Acer Aspire (with MSI MAG244F monitor) but the issue seems to be present on my Acer Nitro 5 with built-in monitor as well.

I don't think it's an Acer issue but I am only running Win 11 on the two Acer machines. If I open a web page with colored graphics or pictures and then drop down a menu of the browser (bookmarks, etc.) the colors of the graphics bleed through. It's annoying and somewhat obstructive. It does not occur if a window from a different app is opened on top of the browser window no matter how bright the colors are.

I attached a few edited screenshots to show the issue. The edits are only to cover personal information etc.

The issue seems to be color saturation and does not occur on my other Win 10 machines or in other browsers. Not even the same version Firefox on the Win 10 machines.

Is there a way to increase the opacity of the drop downs or lower the color saturation in the Firefox browser?

Firefox kept eating my RAM, running dozens of processes. I have gone into about:config and set the dom.ipc.processCount to 1 - then I restarted Firefox and found 5 processes running straightaway before even using the browser. I closed it down and have started it again and now there are 11 processes running with just one tab open. The problem repeats on three different computers which are not infected with malware. One computer with slightly less RAM I now cant even use Firefox at all (though all other browsers work fine) because the tabs constantly crash due to the high number of processes. Is there any way to set the process limit low in a way that Firefox actually responds to?

when I go to icloud.com to view and download photos and all my icloud stuff on my phone, I can no longer sign in using firefox. I turned off the shield security but no help. There used to be a pop-up that let you enter the code apple emailed you so you could access your icloud stuff on the web. Now there is no place to enter the code they send you. I enabled pop-ups too, but that didn't work. Help! I need my photos! And I use that site pretty much constantly-

Using Firefox--When I try to access the daily set of images that comes in an email representing memories for this day which is pulled from my Onedrive Photos, all I get is a dark blank screen with a subtle pulsing wave as if it is searching.

I get the same thing when I go directly to my OneDrive Photos and try to pull up the daily photos there.

However, changing browsers and using Google Chrome--I can view the images in the memory email as well as those on my OneDrive directly

What does Chrome do that Firefox is not?

I recently had another browser related issue on a different problem trying to register online with Directv which would not complete with Firefox but when I used Google Chrome instead of Firefox, it worked.

This made me wonder if the above OneDrive image problem might be browser issue. Sure enough, it was.

I really prefer Firefox and I do not want to have to go to Chrome.

Hello For some reason most of the buttons in my toolbar have stopped working. When I first open Firefox they all work, then when I enter websites they stop working. The 'home' button still seems to work, but almost all others (such as the 'back' button etc) can't be selected. This is very frustrating. To note, I am not tech savvy at all.

I’ve been using Firefox for 5 years now and I absolutely love it. I recently bought a new laptop, but I’ve run into an issue. On my old laptop, I was able to use multiple Firefox profiles at the same time—similar to how Chrome handles profiles.

On the old setup, when I clicked the three-line (menu) button, I could see my second profile there and switch between profiles with just one click. After installing Firefox on my new laptop, I can’t find that option anymore.

I know some of you might suggest using about:profiles to switch profiles. Yes, I’m aware of that method, but I find it inconvenient because I’d have to type about:profiles every time, which is a bit of a time waste for me. I really want the same quick-switch option I had before.

How can I get that functionality back? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I’m already using the latest version (142.0.1, 64-bit).

I am unable to sign into the iCloud web page on Firefox. I can sign in on Microsoft Edge, or on the Safari browser on my phone, so this is clearly a Firefox specific problem. When I try to sign in, the page skips the option that verifies my identity and goes straight to a message saying "Failed to verify your identity, Try again" without allowing the verification to occur. The verification would occur if the page would allow it to, as it does in the other browsers I mentioned. This was working fine last time I logged in a few days ago, so this is a new problem. I could switch over to Edge, but would prefer to use Firefox, if I can. Please help me. Thank you.

Since upgrading to Windows 10, I can only access my Yahoo email using Microsoft Edge. When I try to access in Firefox or Google Chrome, my access is denied. I've tried clearing cookies, browser history, rebooting my router, etc. Any ideas I can try?

I just discovered that Pocket is gone, and I got no notice that it was going away. I've searched the articles on how to export the contents, but they just send me into a circle of links with no useful instructions. Since the Pocket icon is no longer there, I have no way to get into it. I really need to recover those sites because I saved them for a reason but don't remember their URL's.
