Whenever I start Firefox as "New Private Window", I see in Task Manager, that Skype loads up into memory. Skype is Not found anywhere in any of the the Firefox Settings windows, not even as there but disabled. This does not occur when I open a regular Firefox window.

Hello. I am setting up a site on Linux server using Apache as reverse proxy , with ASP.NET as application server . since installing SSL , I had few mixed content blocking that i was managed to fix using CSP directive in Apache configuration file. site has no issue with all browser except Firefox. the only issue is that in admin section , to configure a option. system will load a js file that simply a dropdown with list of options to choose from . when using Firefox , it tries to redirect that page to login page . for test , i clicked on the link i located in Developer tools , which directed me to login page , entered my credentials, and scripts loads showing the drop down box and ok button. is been 3 weeks i been looking for every solution and i have done everything .. but nothing have worked. now I am resort to having to use other browsers if i need to use that functionality in admin page. In page header file name : login , location : http://MYDOMAIN.ca/login?ReturnUrl=%2FAdmin%2FDiscountRulesCustomerRoles%2FConfigure%3FdiscountId%3D6%26_%3D1702682353293 , which are not correct . and browser such as Brave and Safari dose not show different path and file name and everything is correct. dose anyone know how to fix this .. ? i saw a solution mentioned as stated resting Firefox ,but can not find a way to reset , but i have reinstalled Firefox and constantly having this issue on this single section of the page . Hello, can you add better support playback on .mp4 videos? Seems with Firefox it's a hit-and-miss with some .mp4 videos that will play and some that will just show "No video with supported format and MIME type found".

All other browsers will play .mp4 videos without an issue but Firefox won't.

If you can provide better .mp4 playback support that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I signed into Firefox on a lab computer that has too little storage space to install plugins (<1MB storage space left.)

Naturally, plugins did not install. I wanted to ensure that Firefox would not even attempt to install them in the future, so I set the browser not to sync add-ons.

I don't know whether what follows is because of that setting, or because I set it too late. In either case, my dozen or so plugins on my main computer have now all been uninstalled. I don't know the names of all the plugins I was using anymore.

1. Can I recover my automatically uninstalled plugins? 2. Can this bug be patched?

I always have the latest version of Firefox today it is 120.0.1

I get several of these and I have Bitdefender antivirus

What to do ?

I can't download anything anymore. I get the "failed" message. I see in support questons that this has been going on for a long time even though there have been repeated "fixes" reported. I've used Firefox for a long time and really prefer it, but I'm having to change to Chrome to be able to complete my work.

HOW DO I STOP the background from being black? I can't read the URL i am selecting to copy in the URL address box. In prior versions, the use systems color option used to work. Now it doesn't. Plus the pull down that shows up is the most god awful seaform green i've ever seen. I WANT MY SYSTEM COLORS BACK

When trying to set up proxies in firefox, I typ in about:config i accept the risk and continue and get this message: Changing these preferences can impact Firefox performance or security. And I cant go any further. Please advise.

Machine is Windows 10 with a Logitech wireless keyboard. Latest Firefox browser. Not always but sometimes when using Firefox browser to log in somewhere or enter data on some web site, I'll get an incorrect entry for a key stroke. e.g. I enter a 0 and get a 1. But if I enter a 1 I get a 1. So far the error key has always been different.

I've tested things by launching a notepad or Word document and entering the character and in those all works fine. But go back to Firefox and I get the error again. What I have to do is to close and re-launch Firefox and so far this fixes things. It's an intermittent problem which forces me to keep another browser on the machine and ready. Imagine entering a password when all of a sudden you type 'X' and it gives you an 'E'. Really frustrating!

This happens with multiple sites, so it is a Firefox BUG issue.

1. 1 - When I go to login at "office.com/setup" I try to set up a new account because I don't recall my login.
2. 2 - I type in my login name, example: "email@domain.com"
3. 3 - Surprisingly it says choose another email, that one is in use.
4. 4 - SO, I go back out and try again only THIS time I try logging in with my email because it is ME, not a new person
5. 5 - Then it sends me to a NEW window to change my pwd.

I enter NEW pwd twice. It sends me back to the login page, I enter my new info and it sends me back to enter my NEWER password twice again. I fall for it and enter ANOTHER NEW PWD.

1. 6 - It sends me back out to login AGAIN, then it asks me to enter my NEW password twice again.
2. 7 - repeat #6 indefinitely

This has happened to me at my bank and Microsoft office download. These two companies are NOT related. But I am using Firefox both times. SUGGESTIONS??? My bank locked me out for too many attempts to get in. On and ON and ON and ON.

When I google search while logged into my google account the results are missing the favicons.

However when I log out of my google account or go into private mode everything works as expected.

Firefox has been my default browser for longer than I can remember. Over the years, I have maintained a significant bookmark file for work. I recently purchased a new computer, and my zero bookmarks from the new computer have replaced all of the bookmarks that I had in my old browser. This is a bookmark file that has successfully followed me through multiple computers and even my ios devices. And now it seems to be completely gone. I've looked at the places.sqlite files, and the largest one is 20MB and is in my current default profile, but it is dated today. That makes no sense because I do not have any bookmarks on this older computer, and my new computer doesn't have any either. The bookmarks have also been completely deleted from my iPad, but miraculously are still on my iPhone (evidently I had signed out of Firefox for iPhone at some point so they do exist somewhere.) The thought of trying to rebuild my bookmarks is nauseating. My only thought is to sign out of the browser on all devices, then sign back in and sync on the phone. Would that repopulate the main file with what's on my phone? Any other ideas?

I use photopea.com for photo editing and stuff, but I accidentally clicked on the option to have that site not show a pop-up asking if I'm sure I want to leave the site and asking if I'm sure I want to close a project. Now I can't close projects at all.

Can someone tell me how I can re-enable it for the website?

Guys, can we please un-fuck the yubikeys security not working under firefox?, it's like you have decided to go back to early 2000, it is quite the step back from medium security, or should we all using crypt keys just switch to other browsers?
