Need a little help with About:Profiles page

have xfce but a weird bug on my machine its not a show stopper but annoying if i open firefox and type about:profiles ir shows you profiles on Firefox you get a box to open the file which should open Thunar (file manager) to show files, but mine opens Sublime text ????

Every time I try to login to my bank using Firefox New Private Window I get a message "Unable to login. Try again later." But if I then switch to Microsoft Edge browser using its private window I have no problem, no delay, in logging in. It has occurred to me that Edge is deliberately blocking or somehow delaying my login attempt with Firefox. Could this be?

Starting today I am finding it extremely hard to login to some websites. All Firefox does is just sit with a spinning circle after entering a user name and it locks up the browser to a point the I have to go to the Task Manager to stop the FireFox process. I have restarted my computer and refreshed FireFox. I have scanned my computer for malware using Norton 360, Malwarebytes, MSERT, and Windows Defender and all negative. I am having no trouble signing in to a site like https://my.account.sony.com using Edge but using FireFox now is impossible. This needs to be fixed.

After a recent update, all the functionalities in the menu bar be it the add-ons drop down menu,the downloads section and the open application menu run in light-mode in my otherwise dark configuration.They are an eyesore to open and work with,I've tried to tweak the settings and reinstall the themes but nothing helped.Any fixes?

I have an account with a French language news site lemonde.fr and want to read the website in French. I selected this option, to default to the French language version, when I created the account on the site. However, Firefox redirects to the English version lemonde.fr/en. I do not want this and cannot figure out how to stop this from happening. Please provide specific instructions. Thank you!

I would like my Mozilla Firefox bookmarks to stay on the left side and my bookmark toolbar on the right side (just like it used to be). Now both Bookmark toolbar and Mozilla Firefox bookmarks are on the left side , and I can't even search a Mozilla Firefox bookmark using the search window.

I recently updated to FF 119.0.1. I am finding that URL completion in the address bar is kind of random. In FF 118 and earlier, URLs were completed predictably, and it was pretty clear that they were based on a) bookmarks and b) frequency of use. Now, it seems like the frequency info is lost every time I restart FF. In that case, I might expect that the URL offered would be from the oldest bookmark or maybe the first in alphabetical order or something predictable, but it isn't. It seems to me to be random, and it is very annoying.

Is this a new bug, or is there perhaps a new setting that I can change to stop the madness?

For relevant settings, I have:

 - Provide search suggestion: checked
 - When using address bar, suggest: browsing history and bookmarks are checked, nothing else
 - I'm using Custom History settings: Remember browsing and download history is checked, Clear history when Firefox closes is checked. 

I have used these settings for years in previous versions of FF, and there hasn't been a problem until now.

I've long had a Mac with a Firefox install. For as a long as I remember, the spellchecking (when entering text in textedit boxes) has never worked. But that's been ok because I only had the Mac for an xcode/iOS development job, and did most of my web browsing (using Firefox) elsewhere (Linux machines running Debian) and spell checking always worked fine there.

However stupid typos slipping through when I was using Firefox on the Mac eventually led to me wanting to get to the bottom of this.

It wasn't so much simply that the spellchecking doesn't operate... it's that the right-click menu is strangely devoid of anything but

 Undo Redo | Cut Copy Paste Delete Select All | Inspect | Block Element

(that last one from uBlock Origin plugin). NB there were no "Language" or "Check spelling" items there at all, which are the first things I'd look for on my other machines if spellchecking went awry.

I tied all the usual diagnostics/fixes: remove plugins (uBlock Origin is the only one I ever use), new profile, "refresh firefox"... none of it made any difference. I went through a ton of items on this site by nothing seemed to be quite the same problem and the suggested solutions didn't work for me.

I eventually decided reinstalling from scratch was the only option: binned Applications/Firefox and Library/Application Support/Firefox and did a fresh install of the 119.0 download. But no joy. I'm typing this in it right now and there's no spellchecking happening and the right-click menu is just the same as it was before: devoid of "Check spelling" or "Language" items.

The Firefox settings "Language" section does show "English (GB)" selected, and "Check your spelling as you type" enabled. But spell-checking certainly isn't happening in any text box I'm using.

(I've attached a screenshot of what the right-click menu does look like, when I bring it up in this text box I'm typing in now.)

I'm not a "Mac native" so I'm not sure what else on the system could be messing things up. In the system settings the Trackpad is set to "Click with 2 fingers" and certainly brings up a menu in Firefox text edit boxes... but it seems odd that the Language/Spelling-related items I'd expect to see are missing from it.

I'm totally baffled. Any help much appreciated.

As you can see, MS Edge has no issue with it, nor does Opera.

I just wanted to make my bookmarks from my new PC available on my old PC. I signed into sync on the new PC and it's imported a whole of of old links and totally messed up the setup on the machine. Has it merged the bookmarks or imported old saved bookmarks from my account? Is there a way of reversing this. I selected add another device and maybe it found the old computer on which I was logged into my Mozilla account.

Is there a way to enable using both a default pattern as well as a custom image for the background on Firefox Color? I really want to enable both but it is making me choose one or the other. Please help me do this or enable the ability to do so.

As I said: fresh install of FF 119, only Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin icons are showing on the taskbar. I tried TyDraniu tip "Click the jigsaw puzzle icon, then right-click on an extension, then select Pin to toolbar" but with the right click there is no such option as "Pin to toolbar".

Over the last five hours, I have gotten 27 emails from Firefox Monitor for this data breach, for the same email address. I have already marked the breach as resolved in Monitor but I keep getting emails. Is there anything I can do about it?

This has been an ongoing issue for sometime with Firefox.

Backstory time. I am a regular shopper on eBay and I get email alerts for things I like to look at and for. Unfortunately, on my Outlook/Hotmail account, in these particular messages, the images don't load properly for some reason. And I would like to know the way to resolve this once and for all. With certain pdf files, when I go to a page using the outline feature on the pdf viewer or refresh the tab on the same page, the zoom will automatically be set to "page fit". It seems to happen with the title page and table of contents pages. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

I cannot find an option in the settings to completely turn off translations. I vastly prefer English, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese websites in their original language simply because I can read them and translated versions always have issues. But now firefox (I am on version 119, windows) continues checking (and asking for each language) wether I want something translated. How can I turn translations off completely?

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me. I have "Open previous windows and tabs" checked in the settings, And have been using firefox in that manner for years, Like I would close the browser without thinking, And coming back to what i was working on. But today for some reason, I came back to all my tabs gone, And I openned multiple tabs and closed, And opened the browser again and there were no more tabs. (I know about ctrl+shift+N, But that is not automatic) Please help I really need this feature, As i don't like closing tabs!
