Definition: “Click allow to confirm that you are not a robot” is a rogue website, which shows unwanted pop-ups and ads in the browser. Moreover, it redirects users’ tabs to other malicious websites that also threaten the security of your browser. Usually, the infection occurs after you visited and even clicked on suspicious websites. Of course, torrent downloads might also allow adware install on your computer. So, if you notice the same rogue website appearing even when surfing on a legitimate one, the adware is on your computer. When browser problems occur, it is also usually the case that viruses are on your computer. To appear legitimate, the app can pose as a way to improve surfing experience. Or, it may display alerts about a potential system infections. So, the software pretends to assist users in the removal of those infections. Of course, cybercriminals developed it with a clear purpose: their interest is to gain profit from affiliates. And they try to reach their goal by delivering intrusive ads and redirections to the website visitors. But they do not stop here. The malware can even change the browser’s settings and also illegally track users’ web activities. I tried to follow these Instructions How to remove this adware

1  Run the browser on your PC and go to its Settings (the three dots or three horizontal lines in the menu) 
2   Expand the Privacy and Security options, in the left panel.  
3   Access Site Settings in the menu that opens.
4   In the provided list, identify the adware by its name. 
5   Click on it.
6  Set Notifications, Pop-ups and ads to Block.

These instructions do not correlate to Fox Browser -- How can I get rid of this pop-up on Fox Browser? Any Suggestions? I am running Windows 8.1 and Windows Defender does not seem to find this Adware. Is there a way to find it? By the way, "There is no 'Click Allow' to click . . . . ."

While I was doing my banking I got an error message saying I was running an older version and needed to update my browser. When I updated to the latest version of Firefox all my bookmarks and passwords got dumped. All of them. I can't find a previous profile to reinstall anywhere or an option to install a previous version. How do I roll this back?

I can't figure out how to delete this extension: Adobe Acrobat. It's disabled, but I want to delete it.

I messed up. After downloading the latest version an erroer [failed to read config file came up each time I started. So I googled and the common answer was to reinstall. Idiot that I am I did notg back up bookmarks etc and so lost them all. I uised Recuva to retrieve deleted files and found 2 files places.sqlite-wal and places.sqlite.shm Is there any way to put these in the new Mozilla somewhere? I write now and all my research links were in there. Would be great to get them back somehow.

At some recent point searches on companys' websites do not function in firefox where they used to and do using other browsers. I did not change settings in Firefox. Here is an example website: https://www.petsuppliesplus.com/ Their item search box appears to be disabled in Firefox.

I read an older thread on a similar issue and my Firefox Settings for Privacy and Security regarding History are set to Remember All History, so not set to private browsing.

Mac OSX 10.13, FireFox 115.1.0esr (64-bit): previously cmd-click on link would open in new background tab. Now it opens the link in BOTH current tab and a new background tab. This has started occurring in the last few days (mid Aug 2023). This is especially a problem when viewing CraigsList where it was very helpful to be able to cmd-click on links of no interest to mark them as "read" while remaining on the main list page. Now it is necessary to back up to previous page (main list) after clicking on each link... Is this perhaps a recent change (I had auto-update turned on)?

need help accessing our email on yahoo. after answering the security question, in which town was your father born in, it staes that it is the wrong answer, denies access to email and refers us to a pay for help number to restore email. I believe it to be a scam. any way that Firefox can help? If you try to send a message, we can not open our email. therein is the problem.

Hi, I just discovered something odd. Trying to troubleshoot something with an android app communicating via web and laptop to free up the phone, and the relevant website has a chat popup and Firefox won't open the popup. I added the website to the whitelist and saved, but still wouldn't. Tried troubleshooting mode, but nothing. Switched to Chrome and it works fine. Cleared cookies and cache and restarted Firefox, but still no luck. The website is ExpressVPN.com. Macbook Pro OS10.14, Firefox up to date, version 115.1.0esr (64-bit).

I have Firefox 115.1.0esr. Google is my home page. When I search for things I want to ONLY use the Google bar. I DON'T want to start typing and have the URL bar start to fill in. See screenshot, I've unchecked what I think should allow only the Google bar to fill in and search. But it's still going to the MAIN URL bar above. Please help me fix this, it's driving me crazy!!!!!

Hi I have a website that is being blocked on my friends computer. When I go to the same website it is blocked as well. I have updated the Firefox software but still cant get to the website. It does work on google chrome but I want to use it on Firefox. any help on this?

When I enter Canva with Firefox 115.1 / W7 everything is perfect until I get to use the image editor of this platform.

Since I was getting an error message from Canva I have investigated, this has to do with WebGL

Doing a test on the page with WebGl 1, this is working.

Doing a test on the page with WebGl2, it seemed to me that it was limited.

I read the settings in config to disable performance and not overclock the hardware (I have an old Nvidia graphics card)

I enter the page again, perform the test again with WebGl2, and it appears to be working.

So far so good.

I enter Canva and now when I try to edit a photo (I previously cleared the cache and restarted Firefox) I don't even get an error message anymore and Firefox freezes.

Now (and that's why I'm writing this report) if I log into Canva with Google Chrome on the same PC, I don't have any kind of problem editing a photo. That is to say; there is not a problem with my graphics card but with Firefox.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I don't want to use Google Chrome!

Hi, I have spent hours this morning trying to diagnose a problem with Firefox Update 115. It is Unstable and I can't Stream Music from Youtube or even Amazon Music. Web pages from sites I use everyday are out of order when displaying text as well. It's a real mess. Now, here's the kicker, I haven't been able to stream my music from both aforementioned websites, but get this, if I use the Incognito Browser, Music streams No Problem. Seems like you guys broke something in the main FF browser. I have spent hours trying to debug this and have concluded that your most recent Update has broken streaming links. I can't rollback the Update and that is even more frustrating. Please Fix This. BTW, your Help Pages really stink. Sorry, but they offer no help when the problem is clearly FF. I've been trying to delete this very account for about 20 minutes now to no avail. I have a separate account, but want to associate it with this email and can't do that while this account exists. Every time I try to delete this account, it tells me that I've entered the wrong password. I have changed the password twice now with the same results, even given an extremely simple password. I'm hoping there's a nuclear option or something.

Furthermore, I'd like to express how displeased I am that this is my only recourse. Really wish I could get help from Mozilla staff instead of posting on a forum and hoping. That would probably get this solved much more quickly.
