Firefox on my computer is controlled by an enterprise, notwithstanding that my computer is not connected to an enterprise and never has been.

How can I remove the enterprise limitation?

I am running Linux Mint 19 and when I tried to activate the container extension some options were not selectable and a msg appeared at the top of my settings: "Your browser is being managed by your organization" I am a home user and never had anything to do with any corporate PC. The policy it lists is: disableappupdate true. Everything I see in the help database for this pblm pertains to Windows. As I said above I am running linux mint.

what is going on here???

sir, lately i had problems with syncronizing FIREFOX between two computers. seems one has an "old" version. i cannot "install" new versions; i download, but then, how to "install-activate". then i checked on "entry-passwords"...hélas, i do not understand your explanations... the technical terms.... what is the account for... etc. i am 80 years old, and i guess you, the IT community, can't care less.
