I really often need to copy/paste from a terminal opened in my browser. Because the shortcut for copying in a terminal is always Ctrl+Shift+C, it's a mess to have instead Firefox opening Inspector from devtools.

How can I disable this shortcut ?

I've tried to update some about:config settings but it doesn't seem to be helpful and old working correctives add-ons are not supported anymore.

I am using Mac OS x 10.15. The FireFox Update on/about 21 April 2021 caused crash on quit. I have read the two pages of Widevine plugin issues, but I do not use FireFox for viewing videos. I have no Widevine or similar plugin. Every time since the 4/21 update, when I click "Quit FireFox" It goes into a slow routine, then a pop-up asks if I want to report the crash. I have shared the data requested when I get the crash pop-up. I have used FireFox since v.3.? when it came out way back when. Obviously I liked it better when I did not have delay and crash to quit the browser.

This went on for about two years and was fixed about a week ago (Thank you!!!), now broken again with 110.0.1.

Please, any reason not to roll back to the previous version and have a smooth shutdown again?

A few versions ago, Firefox (Mac) changed behavior when clicking on a link in an outside program. Specifically, if Firefox is not running and I click a link in Outlook, Firefox opens the clicked link in a tab but also opens my homepage in a second tab. Since I'm only interested in the clicked link at this time I don't want it to open my home page, just the clicked link. This problem is exacerbated by my.yahoo.com which causes a switch from the tab containing the clicked link to the homepage tab.

How do I get Firefox to only open the link that I clicked and not my homepage in addition? This was the normal behavior until a few months ago.

Outlook.com email service has stopped responding to clicks on "Inbox". First attempt opens the Inbox, all other clicks to go back to the "Inbox" do not work. The only way to go back to the "Inbox" is to use the back arrow in the browser, or click on "Sent"(or another file)...then click on "Inbox". The cycle continues. Been like this since I updated to 110.0.1 (64bit)

i installed a new windows and install new firefox but when i signed in, nothing loaded for me. non of my book marks or passwords please help me to recover it on my email. thank you

I have a new Dell laptop and the menu bar disappeared, it was there before. I've searched how to restore, nothing works, all the search replies are several years old. I'm also running my old 2013 laptop Dell off the same router, both ethernet connected to the router . the old laptop has its menu bar. Thanks for your help, Jonnie

My cat was sitting lap top with firefox open. It was open to Amazon. Now whenever I open amazon, I am stuck with huge print and the need to scroll to see even small parts of one page. I cannot figure out how to get it back to something near the default size. I have a relatively new Lenovo laptop.

bold text I need to save all of my bookmarks and history so I can add them back in after wiping and reinstalling Windows 10 and then reinstalling Firefox on my computer. How do I do that?

I have Windows 11 Home Laptop lately the battery is draining pretty fast. Then i got a notification saying Firefox is using an unusual amount of your battery in the background. It says Firefox is using 78% of the battery in the background this much drainage from one app can harm the battery. It's suggestion is to kill the background process of Firefox or uninstall it and use another browser.

I have tried to figure out how to stop it but can't I have found it before in msconfig but its not there. I looked in the start-up process it is not there. I looked in the running apps i found it but it will not let me kill its process it tells me Firefox is a necessary Windows operating system application. I know that is not true. I have read where other people are having this same issue that started with Firefox 109 .

My Firefox is running 110.0.1 I need to get this to stop running in the background. can anyone please help me figure this out?

I use besthomepageever.com as my homepage. When I open Firefox it automatically opens. Today, all I get is a white blank page. I have tried turning off all extensions - that did not work. If I open besthomepageever.com in Edge, it opens correctly to the sign-on page.

I deleted a bunch of old credit cards (all except one)and tried adding a new one, but Firefox (for Windows) won't let me save a new credit card after I enter it. The Save button dims a sec to show the computer acknowledges it and no error statements pop up. FWIW The authentication security setting is off. Please help.

Using 110.0.1 64 bit .. Clean Install Windows 10, 32 gb memory, 1 tb m2 ssd on a ROG Mb 2070 video card

Since the last update Firefox is slow, it hangs - gives the stupid error code 'this is embarrassing', if you walk away from the terminal to do other work and come back the window freezes, mouse moves everywhere but clicking does nothing. This is more than frustrating because have to re open all the windows waiting. and for you guys information the only thing running is adblock as far as an extension is concerned. Not only that. if I run ookla speed test through this version of the browser its no where near the speed I pay for, upload is near 789 and download 10. If I keep Firefox running and open an Edge page and run the same speed test from edge I get 805 and 39.88

What gives, why the heck are you so much slower and why are your updates so often and then causing the thing to hang... ? I am frustrated to the point of now switching out of Firefox, remember Netscape? well you all are fast meeting the same goals . unreliable and slow.

Really enjoy how when I try to go into an old email account, Firefox can ask me if i want save the new password, when I'm trying to guess, BUT won't let me know what the password is!

Hi, I had firefox installed on my Laptop and I also had Norton anti virus running in the background. Norton asked me to renew but I thought it was a wasted of money. I unistalled Norton but it has taked firefox and my my passwords and bookmarks with it ?

i lost my bookmarks and saved passwords data saved in my account by resetting the password.

Please help me how to get my bookmarks and saved passwords data.

These websites won't play audio or video in Firefox 110.0.1, they work in Chrome 110.0.5481.177

https://www.vrt.be/vrtnu/livestream/audio/stubru/ When I click the Play button I get an error "Oops, something went wrong, error code 200" which seems to be a general error code. In Chrome the music starts playing instantly.

https://f1tv.formula1.com/ I have a subscription but video won't play. I can press the Play button, sometimes I see a preloader but the screen stays black, no audio or video. In Chrome the content just starts playing, be it live or recorded content.

Steps I took to get audio/video working inb Firefox, but to no avail:

run above websites in private tabs download Firefox again and run it from its folder in Downloads start Firefox in Troubelshoot mode start Firefox in Troubleshoot mode and Refresh Firefox disabled / enabled Plugin Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc disabled / enabled Play DRM-controlled content in Settings disabled / enabled Enhanced Tracking protection disablde / enabled allow media autoplay

In other discussions it was opted to remove the PulseAudio config by running the below command and rebooting rm ~/.config/pulse/*

Any help to get this working again would be greatly appreciated!

More of a bug that needs fixing, I have a hp elitebook x360 1040 and every time I fold my laptop to tablet, the browser crashes. I have to launch the browser again, kindly fix.

The default storage folder (alone) in my Firefox portable install is 1.29 GB and still growing. I know this is where website store data, and addons sometimes use this folder as well.

The folder grows so fast it is rendering my Firefox install almost unusable every three or four months. Is there any way to limit the size of this folder?

Regarding addons in that folder, most are very small (kilobytes range), but one rogue addon is 370 MB in size and still growing. It's folder in default>storage is "moz-extension+++d215ed11-a9b2-4927-bd1f-9755184bbe53"

How can I find out which addon this folder belongs to so I can remove the addon (or try and limit how much storage space it uses)?

My homepage has shortcut links to various sites. Those which I visit frequently I have pinned to the page. I would like to be able to add and pin other websites to the page. The only option that appears to available is to go through all the unwanted ones to dismiss them and wait on serendipity to produce the ones I want to keep. All the advice online to the same question is support for Android.
