Firefox 109.0 for macOS introduced an intentional bug that disables the popular highly useful zoom in/out using cmd+mouse wheel. Mozilla claims that this engineered bug "avoids accidental zooming and matches the behavior of other web browsers on macOS." However, it causes severe trouble for productivity users and the large user community who use a mouse and keyboard.

Could you please let me know how the highly popular and practical zoom in/out using cmd+mouse wheel could be re-enabled in Firefox 109.0?

Also, I would like to ask Mozilla to respect user decisions and let them choose whether they prefer to disable Ctrl or Cmd + trackpad or mouse wheel (scrolls the page instead of zooming) or use it.

My router address with extensions is xx.xx.xx.xx/#/login. My previous router was xx.xx.xx.xx/cgi-bin/MANGA/index.cgi. When I type the IP address without anything after it, the URL entry changes from the new address to the old one every couple of seconds. I can't log into the router because it keeps changing. I disabled URL autocomplete, but it doesn't change it. Whenever I enter the address, it still completes with first the correct and then the incorrect URL.

How do I stop this? Thanks in advance.

I can not remove the extension!

I have noticed for some time now that I have an extension in my Firefox extensions that has no name and keeps installing itself, even when I try to uninstall it through the Firefox folder. The extension causes that in my search suggestions when I enter something always other websites come to the surface, or the actually suggested by firefox sites slide down. Some yahoo and amazon sites come up on my search results.

the webpage https://app.scoutapp.ai/ doesnt function with your browser. works fine on chrome and brave however but I prefer if it worked with FF. any chance we can get this fixed?

Hi. I don't normally have a problem presenting my Spanish tax online, using an electronic certificate.

However, yesterday I got the following Error 403 message (in Spanish) : "Identification error. Electronic certificate is not detected or has not been selected correctly. If you have an electronic certificate, check that it is correctly installed in the browser"

I have checked that the certificate is loaded on the browser, that it is valid, and I have validated with the FNMT, which reports that it is working normally, so, why does my browser not recognise/detect the certificate.

Without resolving this issue I cannot make my tax declaration.

CSP strikes again,

This morning I was trying to look at archive.org and the website wouldn't load and just show a blank white page (not my blank page theme which is dark)

I tried refreshing a few times, and it didn't work, then I opened developer tools and noticed every resource from website is blocked by CSP. I know probably this is a wrong configuration from archive.org developers causing the page to not load.

from start CSP bring nothing for me other than trouble. In fact I had so much trouble with it, that when a website doesn't load or loads incomplete, I immediately hit F12 to see if anything is blocked by CSP.

I know some very knowledgeable people will come and tell me you will die instantly or will turn to stone if you disable CSP, but I'm readly fed up with this thing that is controled by a header that can be changed with a proxy or even extension which then controls how browser will load a website. just the same way that some web developers use User-agent and HTTP-Referer as a security measure in their website.

I was able to disable CSP in firefox 98 and browse the website. but can't do it with firefox 100 and above (109 currently)

I tried removing the CSP header with extension, but I can remove any header I want but not CSP

Apparently someone in firefox team is obsessed with removing user modifiable features and making it harder and harder everyday to achieve the same functionality (e.g. renaming about:config settings, disabling or removing them) or in other words, pushing their will on their end users on how they should use their browser.

I'm a software developer, I can recompile firefox, and I want CSP and in fact any behavior that relies on a HTTP-header to be gone, but I'm really busy with my own work. and don't have time to read through entire code of the firefox.

I would like to ask if someone can direct me to the part of mozilla code that contains CSP so I can remove it and compile the thing again so I have a browser that doesn't block me from what I like to do.

Here's the problem: In my Hotmail account, I am getting email "cards" (entries in my Hotmail account) that say: Unusual Sign-In Activity. Now recently, I spent a lot of time finally contacting and spending time with a Microsoft Tech Support agent. This agent helped me change the password on my main Hotmail account. Yet, I am still getting these annoying email "cards" in my Hotmail account. Now, I've analyzed these various email "cards" and I discovered a few things relating to Firefox. Here's what I found on all (5) of these separate email "cards": Sign-in details Country/region: Australia IP address: Please note I eliminated the IP address here because I don't know if it safe to do so or if I will be compromising my computer in any way. In order to share this IP address, I need to know if I am now dealing with an official Firefox support agent. If so and if it is necessary to share the IP address then please let me know in your follow up response. Does it have to do with all updates since this question was answered? I've created the chrome folder. I've created userChrome.css file and added the following without "`" marks in it and saved it and restarted firefox after changing the toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets = true . ```

If I open a private window and then right click on any link and choose the "Open Link in New Tab" context menu option, a new tab will appear for a few milliseconds before immediately closing and the link will never load. The new tab closed in this manner will not show up in the history of closed tabs either (likely because this list is only updated after a tab fully loads a page before being closed, which obviously never happens). I have not added any new addons since long before this problem started, but I did try disabling any tab related addons to no effect.

Since firefox's latest update I am unable to access my online PNC banking account. PNC says that Firefox is no longer compatible with their online banking system. I'm using an IMAC computer. Does anyone know what's causing the problem or am I being forced to use a different browser ? My e-mail address is[email removed from public] Thank You

How on earth do I update my Mozilla Firefox, I cannot play my Apple TV or Amazon Prime, which I am paying for, until I update it! I have tried really hard but am 78 and it's not happening!

All New York Times Cooking recipes printed from Firefox 109.0 print with the error noted above (The "end of recipe bar" and "Private Note" heading, which usually print at the end of the recipe, over-print wrapped text at the top of the second page of the recipe obscuring underlying wrapped text.). This error had appeared occasionally in the past, but now is consistently present. I have refreshed my up to date version of Firefox and cleared old print settings. The error shows up on printing to two separate printers and it shows up when printing from a desk top and a lap top computer with synced Firefox, and from a separate lap top with Firefox that is not synced. The error DOES NOT show up on printing with either Chrome or Edge browsers.

NY Times Cooking customer Service has not received inquires about this error and suggested the error lay in a settings issue.

Have others reported this error?

All suggestions will be appreciated.

With multiple tabs open, the "X" close button disappears; in Safari, the "X" appears on hovering, not in FF, so I have to open the tab to close it. It's an annoyance

I asked this question yesterday, but I have a bit more detail that I can add. I use Firefox as my primary browser, and I use a VPN to protect against hackers. I use Godaddy to host a website that I manage, and I need to log into my Godaddy account to make changes to my website.

When I try to log into my Godaddy account, I receive an error message stating that I am not authorized to use this (the Godaddy?) server. I have talked to Godaddy about this problem, and they say that their server will not connect to any other server unless they can establish a secure connection. Apparently, when I try to log into my Godaddy account, the Godaddy server does not see my computer as being part of a secure server, so it will not allow me to connect to Godaddy.

Godaddy suggested turning off my VPN before I try to log into my Godaddy account, and this has not helped. I get a new error message stating that their is something unusual about my (Firefox) browser. Can anyone help solve this problem? Thanks.

On my phone, when you scroll, it automatically hides the address bar and everything on it, to go 'full-screen'. I want this on my laptop. How can I make it, that when I scroll, or even just sit on a webpage for a moment, the URL bar will smoothly transition into being 'hidden'?

I want to be clear: I do NOT want to use the fullscreen, CTRL + F11 function, because then my Windows task bar is not accessible. Right now I have my taskbar hidden, which is fantastic because it gives my laptop screen a bigger feel. And if FireFox's URL could do the same... that would be beautiful.

I have a 2nd laptop that I need to sync for my passwords and bookmarks, everytime I try to sync it says incorrect password, when I know it's correct. then locks me out after a few attempts but it works fine on the main laptop! Please, I need help! thank you

Am using FF 109.01 (64) and the latest Windows 10 (64) ver. I uses their Virus program.

With my bank security settings I have check marked to not use 2FA Bank home page asks for a security code anyway.

This has happened to me months ago and all of a sudden everything was OK. ... and now it has happened again. When I use Edge, Bank home page does not ask for a security code. This is the way I would like FF to perform.

I have phoned the Bank IT Help desk and they are bafflled. They had me try a bunch of acrobats but nothing works.

Is it possible to edit the userChrome.css file to have the tab/tool bar change colors like in Safari 15? I am new to CSS but would love to know if this is possible.

Ok, so I installed Firefox today, and tried to watch Discovery+, it kept saying it was installing components to play the audio and video and never seemed to actually install them. I finally figured out it's the widevine plugin sitting there with a yellow bar saying it's going to install soon but never does.

I went through nearly an hour of troubleshooting, and nothing has worked. I tried toggling the DRM option on and off, restarting the browser and PC, reinstalling Firefox, restarting my modem, disabling and enabling the plugin itself, going to all the streaming sites I use, attempting to manually install the plugin, etc.

As far as I know, I'm not using an antivirus, I don't have my VPN on, any other extensions or plugins, pihole, or anything else I saw in other support queries. I'm just going crazy trying to fix this since it seems nothing works.
