When I go to a website that can push notifications, next to the url there's this animation that you can click to allow the notifications. I want to turn off this animation. This question has been asked before and the answer was: "Go to about:config and set dom.webnotifications.enabled = false". I did this, but I still have the animation. What should i do?

I am receiving hundreds of spam emails from gmail.com email addresses and they all say to: and list at least 20 or more googlegroups.com groups. SO it seems they are using my yahoo email to send all these google groups a message to join some dating site. Most all of them go to spam or trash but I want to know if I can block them completely by blocking or using a filter that can block words, or domains like @googlegroups.com. SEE BELOW It only shows my email in the raw message. Your filters only allow me to send them to the trash folder when I would rather block them 100% I have no idea why I am receiving them and not a member of googlegroups and they are using my email to send these through. I can block each gmail but they change every time. I do not know if there is a actual from email I could block that is hid in the raw message but I doubt it since they change the from email.

I actually posted this same question 18 months ago. I DID manage to solve it, but I cannot remember how, and since then I have changed computer. I have google set as my home page, and it automatically opens on every new tab, which is what I wanted. The problem is that when I open a new tab, the cursor is automatically positioned in the address bar, whereas I want to insert my search terms in the seach box in the middle of the page. How can I stop search terms being written in the address bar? I think I've set just about every possible search and browser option to false in about:config. Florio

  Just setting up new LG Gram laptop,

I have only a dumb flip phone, no email on that, no qr code reader. traveling with laptop, only on line email to get verification code. You state sms is not secure for receiving security code. Yet, many other sites do use a sms code to confirm login.

The Update to 108.0.1 succeeded, but the partial process for "sync" still shows as partway. Must've clicked that item by mistake, and then killed it after seeing the scope--since I don't use a smartphone., etc., anyway!

We should be cautioned that this 108.0.1 upgrade is a complicated one. At midnight I just wanted to do a SIMPLE update (release notes listed just one item), shut it off and hit the sack --not be swamped with all the myriad new choices and features to learm! --as I now see.

Hi! I bought new laptop with windows 11, installed the last last version of Firefox, then opened Google docs file, but there were empty spaces instead of buttons. In google chrome it works properly. I tried to refresh many times, tried to delete all extensions, tried to install new Firefox and opened doc in just installed browser - I still have the same problem. I would be grateful for any advice.

Any Safe ...As.. in my Firefox isn't working. Nor from right mouse click, nor from menu-file. Currently I'm with 108 under XFCE(Ubuntu). But the troubles was may be after 98. I've disabled all extensions - persist. I tried also Troubleshooting mode - still persist. I've tried reinstalling - persist. Where have to look? With Chromium I do not have such troubles. recently I picked up Mozilla again and saw some weird website formatting for some sites. It sometimes only affect certain areas (see attached picture Bad Formatting Amazon, where one part got squished and dragged down very much) and sometimes it affects the whole website (please refer to the other two pictures, one showing the proper formatting and the other one a formatting, which occurs over time, when leaving the website open)

Can I change any settings to combat this? Looking forward to your input!

Hi, I am unable to acess this website and get the following error. About 10 days ago access was ok, but it suddenly stopped. Is this a broswer issue or a ISP issue or both ? HTTPS://KE9NS.COM

Folks, my basic settings are "always use private browsing mode". I occasionally run into sites that don't allow this. I see there is the keystroke support for the ability to open a new tab in private mode. Can you develop one to open a tab in non private mode ?? it's a major pain to have to change the main private browsing mode setting to off, use the site that demands it off, then change it back afterwards.

I am a college student working in an office. I have a work computer, and a home computer and would like for my browsing history, bookmarks, and customization to remain separate between the two computers. It appears that Firefox's profiles is intended to do this, but it keeps freaking out on me. On my home computer I have a default profile called Connor Home with its own settings, and on my work computer I have a default profile called Connor Work with its own settings. However, it appears that whenever I use Firefox on my work computer, it overwrites all the settings from my Connor Work profile onto my Connor Home profile, as when I return home, all of my home settings and bookmarks have been replaced with my work settings and bookmarks. Upon checking, I see that I am still in my Connor Home on my home computer, and I am still in Connor Work on my work computer. Why does changing the settings in one of my profiles seem to overwrite my other profile? Please help.

This issue only occurs for users using Firefox. When creating a document in our company's Google Drive environment there is a required Data Classification label that must be applied to documents and users are prompted with "To comply with policies, fill in missing fields.Fill in required fields." but when they click to apply the label the labels fail to load and they receive "Couldn't load labels. Try again." This only happens in Firefox, no other browser, but works in a Firefox private window. A fresh install of Firefox vs one that has add-ons or customization behaves the same. I'm sure it's just some setting that needs to be changed but we've been unable to figure out what tweak is needed.
