Is there a way to turn off the scaled video stream permanently that is usually placed at the lower right of the web page. Is there a name for this. SFgate.com forces a scaled video stream when the main video stream is out of view. You can X out of the stream but it comes back eventually.

I recently had the misfortune of Windows crashing on me and my PC needing a repair shop to reboot it. In the process, I've been needing to download all my programs again, but thankfully I made a firefox account and was hopeful all my years of login info would be easy to boop back onto my PC.

However, when I attempt to access my logins, it bars me access and I can't sync it with my phone, an Android who has the firefox app. It keeps asking for a Primary Password, something I had before my PC was reset, but I only just put that back in and it won't allow me to input it or change it. I can't even transfer my information over from Chrome. It's really frustrating since while I know a variety of my logins, some of them I used firefox secure generated passwords on and I have to squint at my phone to tap them in.

Any help would be immensely appreciated, and I'm hoping if I reboot after my downloads are done that this might fix my issues. But if it doesn't, I wanted to type this up to be safe!

How can I open all my tabs from an old laptop to a new one automatically? I tried to look for any buttons, but did not find any other than having to do it one at a time

Reviewed this question from a year ago. I am having problem signing into Chase.com. The issues are the same as many others have written about. I can't believe this can not be fixed/addressed. If it continues I will be forced to delete Moz://a firefox after many years. Please address and supply personal support options like share screen to help fix issues such as this.

Trying to use ProctorU with Firefox 104.0.2 on Windows 11 Home, and I am getting the following message : "Monitor Count : You may only use 1 monitor during your exam. Your monitor count could not be found". I searched for possible fixes, and someone mentioned removing fingerprinters, and possibly also remove cookies and tracking content from Firefox enforcement. I removed all 3 and that did not help. I also tried clearing cookies and site data and also cached web content, this did not help. Is there some other setting in Firefox that might be preventing the detection of the monitor count? Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

How do I sync between to laptops? I would like to sync my settings and bookmarks. QR code generation is ridiculous. I do not want firefox on my phone.

The Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies pane shows cookies currently being stored by Firefox.

If I close my browser, these cookies are automatically deleted. However, if I follow the steps on [1], the cookies are still there, and don't get deleted. *Why?*

Steps to reproduce:

- Start a new Firefox session
- Open Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies and see that the list is empty
- Go to youtube.com and click Accept All on the cookies popup
- Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies now shows a cookie from YouTube, as per the attached screenshot
- Go to Settings->Privacy & Security->Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Clear
- Go back to Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies and click on the refresh icon
- The YouTube cookie is still there
- However either of the following actions will correctly delete this cookie:

1) closing firefox (with Always Use Private Browsing Mode enabled) 2) manually deleting the cookie from the list in Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies

There was an issue with accessing the network for media playback. The sub-error code will contain what specific resource was unable to be accessed over the network. | NETWORK_ERROR encountered, code: 1400

This is only happening on desktop Firefox. Mobile device works fine.

In the previous versions of Firefox, when selecting a language of input, all the other languages were unselected. This was a much better option than today's, where they remain selected, allowing to check in several languages simultaneously. The problem with that is that when a word exists in both languages with a small difference (accent, two letters reversed or something like that), if there is a spelling mistake, it may not appear. In the example below, "defense" should be with an accent: "défense".

Since recent updates to Firefox I get a purple pop-up listing Trackers at the bottom right of my screen every time I open a new webpage. I'm happy with my PC security settings and have good protection software running - but this pop-up listing Trackers is becoming a nuisance.

Is there a way to stop Firefox displaying the Tracker notification pop-ups whilst still intercepting and blocking them in accordance with my security settings?

I see that other users have asked the same question, but it does not seem to have been answered yet.

After last update V104.0.2 fire fox will not allow me to access router to change settings message given, unable to connect, can I revert to previous version of firefox as always worked before update

Every few days, Firefox makes me log back in again to my account and "create" a new profile version - the message I get is that I have launched an older version, and can only EXIT or CREATE NEW PROFILE. The problem is when I have to do this, I lose all the pinned tabs I had open, also I have to log into Gmail each time and generally set the profile up again. I can then access my bookmarks and containers but not the tabs I had open.

Is there a way to stop Firefox from forcing me to relaunch my profile each time? Its frustrating to lose the pinned data and have to log back into my Firefox profile, then Gmail, then try to figure out where I was at last. Note, the pinned tabs are not things I need to bookmark but rather a running list of tasks/things I need to complete - and unfortunately I don't know when I will be forced to launch a new profile but don't want to create a bookmark each time for temporary tabs... for example, last night I was just in the middle of planning a trip so had a few tabs open to come back to, but when I logged into my laptop this morning, I was forced to create a new profile and have lost these tabs I had pinned.

I had the PC at Staples to get malware removed. They also removed the AVG Anti-Virus and installed McAfee Anti-Virus instead. When I got the PC home, many of my Firefox settings had been changed, I don't know by what or whom. And my Greasemonkey and Adblocker extensions had been removed. I reinstalled those, but now cannot get my two desired scripts for Greasemonkey to download, let alone install. I also now have a message, "your browser is being managed by your organization." But this is my own PC that I use for both work and personal purposes. I've tried all the recommended approaches for removing the "organization" message, to no avail. Tech support from McAfee recommended removing and reinstalling Firefox, but I don't know if that is likely to fix the problem, and I would lose all my bookmarks, some of which are important for my work. I don't know how to save the bookmark links before trying to uninstall/reinstall Firefox. Need help.

Zoom not working correctly

I'm unable to maximize a specific website (Craigslist state home pages) correctly by zooming. The page opens at 80% zoom, which is too small to read. If I use the mouse wheel or control +, the zoom indicates 90%, but it's so large that only a small part of the text on the page is visible, and 3/4 of the page is blank space. It looks more like 300% even though it says 90%.

I can open the page correctly in full screen using F11 or the double-headed arrow in the upper lefthand corner, but then I don't have access to the menu bar. Is this a problem with Firefox, my computer, or Craigslist? I don't have this problem with any sites except Craigslist home pages.

Solutions I've tried: Clicked on maximize in upper righthand corner; used mousewheel and F11 to change zoom; cleared all cookies and cache, opened in troubleshooting mode, selected "Zoom text only" (made it worse so I deselected it).

Thanks for your help! I use CL for job hunting so I'd like to solve this.

Woke up this morning, opened up Firefox and the Trolls have been busy rearranging things during the night. My profile manager disappeared, but I was able to fix that. Now my tabs are out of place and I cannot find what to do to put the Tabs back on bottom, "The way they Should be". Help, please.
