I am attempting to locate the "manage containers" option on the container drop down menu but it is not there. I have read several other threads and have tried cntrl+ about:config "which did not have a false option" clicking right, and then maybe left and every which way I could click, but nothing. The drop down menu does not move so as to reposition and possibly find what I can't find. I do have my scaling pretty high, I wonder if that could be the problem. Any help would be appreciated, you know how we like to change these kinds of options.

  1. Enable the search box to the right side of URL box in browser UI.
  2. Open new tab (empty URL box).
  3. Press TAB.
  4. The search engine SELECTOR becomes highlighted, instead of the search INPUT.
  5. Web application software developer is blocked from typing search query right away.
  6. Must press ANOTHER TAB.
  7. This breaks the workflow. It never used to do this, you could type immediately after tabbing ONCE.
  8. Search is disabled in URL box to facilitate local domain resolution/error and NOT trigger fallback searching.

Please revert the behaviour to normal, and make the single TAB operation focus on the search INPUT.

Why, for some reason, has Mozilla recently started treating incognito tabs as the default search engine? When I closed the main browser, left the incognito window open, and restarted it, all my open and grouped tabs (over 300) were deleted, and when I closed the incognito window, it asked me if I wanted to close all tabs as if I had any way to reopen them. This is the first time I’ve encountered this, because it wasn’t like that before. Why does Incognito behave like a regular tab, and why does this affect the main tabs, which aren’t and shouldn’t be linked to Incognito?

Why is there not an option to say "no" to Firefox automatically loading when you restart your computer? There is only "yes" or "not now". I am not interested to my internet browser loading and opening once I have restarted my computer. I use my computer for much more than browsing on the internet. I am tired of always having to click the "not now" option to only have it show up the next day or two days later, where I then have to click, yet again, the "not now" option. I even went into Firefox settings and have not found an option to "op out" of this particular feature. Can you please add a "no" option to automatically opening upon restart.

I take great pains to delete data including cookies, website settings, etc, on closing, EVERY session. I NEVER want previous tabs, windows or sessions restored. HOW do I program FF to REMEMBER the setting, box unchecked next to "Open previous windows and tabs"

Dear Mozilla Team,

I kindly ask you to add support for the X25519MLKEM768 hybrid post-quantum key exchange to the domain detectportal.firefox.com (the URL used by Firefox connection testing). This small change would significantly strengthen privacy protection for millions of users who rely on Firefox's connection test URL. As you know, this mechanism has already been successfully implemented on almost all of your other domains. Extending the same protection to detectportal.firefox.com would ensure consistency and close the remaining gap. Thank you very much for your ongoing work on privacy and post-quantum cryptography. I would greatly appreciate your attention to this request. Best regards, Anonymous

I assume Mozilla developers are working on this?

https://singularityhub.com/2026/04/10/anthropics-mythos-ai-uncovered-serious-security-holes-in-every-major-os-and-browser/

Quote from the article

"Its capabilities are a step change from the previous best models. Given the challenge of attacking the Firefox web browser’s JavaScript engine, Anthropic’s previous most powerful model Opus 4.6 succeeded just twice, compared to 181 times for Mythos. Most worryingly, the team found that engineers with no security background could use it to develop successful attacks overnight."
