When I go to the task bar and click on firefox the only thing that comes up is, top left corner it says new tab but nothing opens after that, just blank screen. I want to use firefox as my browser but if this continues I'll have to use a different browser.

firefox did an update this morning when I selected a link on a trusted email. Went as normal but I have lost my homepage. All I have is a blank page where I used to have my most used searches and links. All gone blank page (still have bookmarks drop down) Is this the new look? how can I get my homepage back please? When I try to connect to my email provider [email removed for privacy]@aol.com I click on my Firefox browser and type in AOL.com however; there are many sign ins and I can get 'Breaking News' etc but cannot get into my emails. All I wish for is to open my computer, go to the first opening page, select the short cut and get straight into my emails can you help please??

I have my Windows Task Bar set to collapse when the mouse is not over it. When I first open the Firefox browser, I cannot get my Windows Task Bar to pop up when I hover my mouse over the bottom of the screen.

If I reduce the size of the Firefox window and then expand it back to full size the Task Bar will again operate normally by popping up when I hover the mouse over the bottom of the screen and then collapsing again when I move away.

This didn't start happening until after the last couple of updates.

When trying to log onto YouTube on my Windows 11 laptop through Firefox or Edge, I input my name & password then Google says, "Couldn't sign you in. Google couldn't verify this account belongs to you." I was on fine yesterday. I can get on with some other gmail accounts that I have, but my main gmail account only works on Chrome now.

YouTube videos show up as "video Unavailable".. I can see and talk in the Chat but the video OR Live Stream is shown as "video unavailable".. This only happens in FIREFOX which is my main browser. Now if I sign out, I can watch the Live Stream OR video, but CAN NOT use the Chat, IF I am SIGNED IN, I CAN use chat BUT not see the video.

I am now using (which I hate using)Microsoft Edge to see the video and chat. I WOULD LIKE to be able to use FIREFOX again! Please Help

I have a number of computers that I would like to have configured identically, including Firefox's extensions. Is there a mechanism that I could use to automatically install a list of extensions on my (linux, windows) computers?

Every time I close the browser and re-open it, the favicons disappear. I use the favicons to navigate to websites on my bookmark toolbar, but they're missing from my regular bookmarks, too.

I found an old thread that appeared similar, and the solution was to take a working copy of the favicons.db file and re-import it if it breaks (while the browser application is closed). However, this did not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, a locally hosted application has a web interface which tries to send a data (POST request) to a remote resource (which is under my control) yet the web browser (Firefox ESR 128.9.0esr) blocks this resource request saying in a developer console (F12) this:

• NS_ERROR_GENERATE_FAILURE(NS_ERROR_MODULE_SECURITY, MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_SELF_SIGNED_CERT)

• Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://myRemoteServerIP/request.php. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed). Status code: (null).

I suspect that the CORS blocking is a result of the first (SSL) error, AI also told me that I can configure my remote server/resource (e.g., using Apache, Nginx, or PHP) to include the necessary CORS headers in its responses and indeed the remote server of mine has such lines inside a PHP script that is receiving the request: header('Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *'); header('Access-Control-Allow-Methods: POST'); header('Access-Control-Allow-Headers: *');

The remote resource (server) is using self-signed SSL certificate and it is referenced using IP instead of a domain name.

When I try to do the same request via Private browsing window (without extensions), there is no NS_ERROR about self-signed cert. but only CORS one. When I try browser Librewolf 137.0.2-1 (my FF version is older: 128.9.0), the request is NOT blocked, is OK..

My main aim is not to avoid blocking in my browser, but in all main browsers for everyone.

Is it so that this kind of blocking is default behavior in browsers? Is there please any way to avoid that, beside getting a domain name and CA signed SSL certificate?

i can't watch a streaming movie without it stopping to buffer through out the whole movie . I never have a problem watch TV shows. It wont upload the stream long enough to keep playing . Can i increase the streaming a head so the movie doesn't stop playing till the end.

No sound when showing videos, i.g youtube etc, in firefox. Works fine in Chrome, and yes, the volume is on in firefox and laptop (Win11).

Is there a setting I have inadvertently touched.....?
