Hi!

As this thread subject says, I have an issue with kind of a random change in the field showing password creation date on my Mozilla Account profile.

Recently after fresh OS installation, I logged into my Mozilla Account, briefly browsed my settings and noticed unexpected change in the field below my password which says "Created 10/26/2024". The thing is: - I haven't changed/updated or done anything like that to my password since Account creation so date should be different & earlier - before my OS reinstall and signing in again to Account on fresh Firefox, I've logged out, cleaned my whole history, data etc. - so there should not be any leftovers like cookies on either side (mine or Mozilla's servers) that could cause potential issue- I guess? - sign out from Account, OS reinstall date and new sign in to firefox are also different days than 26th October - Recent account activity logs - all seems right, nothing alarming - Connected services/devices - all correct - all confirmation emails from Mozilla - everything ok So as you can see there is no suspicious activity...besides that date change. Since account creation I haven't noticed any weird behavior in my computer/software/firefox/mozilla profile too. Regarding that date - 10/26/2024 - on that day I was just regularly browsing web and logged in to my Pocket account - nothing exceptional, no settings change made or anything, Pocket account existed before that day and was active -so rather no important, worth commemorating by Mozilla activity, I presume? Logs/ confirmation emails agree with that.

I have to admit , I've already contacted support team but their answer still lefts me, sort of, unsatisfied... They have not found any issues regarding my password and account and indicated that it may be kind of update sent by Pocket during logging in on that day, or 'cookies/site data issue', nothing scary overall. Well... but then why Pocket has not overwritten this creation date again during my later sign-ins in the following days? Have anyone experienced situation like this? Is it a bug?Paranormal manifestation of sloppy coding? A feature from Mozilla so users can keep their blood pressure a bit higher? Symptoms of my account being compromised? Maybe there was some big update on Mozilla servers/services that could cause aforementioned change, that day -26th October, anyone knows? Am I missing something, like my own, user errors? Perhaps I'm overthinking and this is trivial issue, but I find it a bit confusing and can imagine that it can be puzzling for even more technically skilled users than me. I would be very grateful for any probable explanations or experiences from you, dear Mozilla users. Thank you! Cheers.

Hi everyone, I'm desperately trying to disable Firefox from starting when my windows starts up. I've tried disabling startup apps.

I've tried setting some settings to false like toolkit.winRegisterApplicationRestart & browser.startup.windowsLaunchOnLogin.disableLaunchOnLoginPrompt and this worked for a while and now it's back to starting with windows.

The box is unticked in menu - settings - Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up. I tried al-sorts of things but I'm still having the same problem

Does anyone have any possible solutions I can try please? At the moment I have a script to end task as I can't find any other solution.

Hi,

I am in the pharmaceutical industry and using ectd program, which is producing an xml backbone (directories) containing pharmaceutical information (pdfs). Only internet explorer can show this. Chrome has recently lost this ability. Firefox shows only some headings, like reading the index.xml only and not detecting the other directories. Is there an option/addon so I can view the contents correctly? I cannot attach the export of the ectd program (index.html & backbone/directories) so you can see to what I refer to, only the pics.

Thanks! Ryk

I beleive in the recent versions of Firefox, shortcut keys have been added/changed such that holding the Option key while in the URL Search bar activates other functions (Switching search engines: Option + Up/Down Arrow) and completely disables my ability to move left or right through the URL by word.

Is there any way I can disable this shortcut key combination?

I tried to open my Firefox browser, but was unable to. Same thing with my Google chrome browser. I ran the troubleshooter for network problems, but unable to get a solution.

I downloaded a new Firefox browser in the hopes that it would let me access the other browser so I could retrieve all the settings, bookmarks, etc. However, everything disappeared when the new browser was installing.

Is there any way for me to retrieve that information or is it a total loss?

Every time I open Firefox recently, and the Yahoo.com web page starts up, I get an annoying prompt from global privacy control, that asks to allow or not allow. IT'S ANNOYING. I went into the settings for that apparent add on feature, that I DIDN'T add, and set all 5 settings to FALSE, but the program still pops up. It ALSO screws up the format of the Firefox web page, and shows the Yahoo News feed totally different and it's also VERY ANNOYING HOW do I totally get rid of the global privacy control? I can select the Firefox settings under security to tell web pages to not sell the info, as far as I know, correct, so I don't need the retarded global add on? ?? I want Firefox news feed like it was before the update. Thank you very much... HOPEFULLY!
