Since the recent update to Firefox 131, I can no longer use the Billpay option of my TD Bank account. I am able to log into my account without any problems and use all of the options except for Billpay. I want to add that I know I am not alone with this problem as I have seen several others with the same problem but with different banks. It is the Billpay option which no longer works.
As I said, the bank site is fine until I click on "Billpay", Then I get this: begin quote: "Why can't I access Bill Pay?

I have disabled uBlock Origin, Enhanced Tracking, tried Private Mode, Troubleshooting Mode to no avail.
I have also cleared cookies & data. This appears specific to v131. Any suggestions??

I currently use firefox 133 (32 bit) on Windows 11. Every time my router resets (either due to power outage or xfinity server outage) firefox fails to connect to multiple websites after internet service resumes, for example, I cant get to twitter.com (x.com) or even the mozilla support page while on firefox. Screenshots of the error and associated stuff are in the attachments. Firefox currently can't even check for updates.
All the webpages that do not work firefox due to the issues highlighted in the screenshots load perfectly fine in other browsers like chrome and edge. These issues in firefox go away after a couple days without any intervention which I explains how I was able to use firefox for these webpages prior to my last network outage and have still not been able to solve this post network-outage issue.
Things I have tried so far: - Disabling proxy in firefox: Did not work so I re-enabled it since that is how it was before the issues happened. - Re-install firefox 133: Downloaded an installer from chrome to do this but this also did not fix the issue. Note that I first downloaded the mini installer which downloads files as part of the installation and that also failed to connect to mozilla. So I downloaded the full installer. - Cleared cookies and data: did not work - DNS over HTTPS: Swicthed it off, did it did not work, so I switched back to the default setting. - Logged in to the router from firefox using the router's IP address: Not sure why I thought this would work but it did not.
Any help would be appreciated to solve this issue once and for all.
Right click menu stuffed after update to 140. Has blank spaces in it and even when you left click on the the right click menu items, nothing happens.

For the past 2 weeks Firefox has been repeatedly crashing soon after going on to certain sites or trying to apply my 2FA authenticator add-on.
Suddenly there's a screen shudder and a new window opens, inviting me to submit a crash report. See attached image.
I do not believe that this is down to Ubuntu 24.04 upgrade done at end of August.
But it's enough for me to largely go over to Chromium and Firefox Dev Ed.
If Mozilla don't act on this crashing I can see its market being lost fairly fast.

Today I was no longer able to stream movies on Amazon Prime or Youtube. I watch Amazon movies most nights, watched last night. Tonight I got a message when I tried to continue watching a tv series on Amazon that I've watched for weeks. It said I had to update Firefox and told me how, but when I went thru the process Firefox said it was up to date. On Youtube I got an error msg. 99,999 . What is happening?

Been using Firefox since the 90s and been on Mac since 2000s. This problem has been happening for about a year, throughout three macbooks (my old one, a temp one, and my new one) and multiple Firefox updates. I'm always updated and always clear cookies daily.
The failure to move bookmarks I can overcome by rebooting Firefox with a Forced Quit. If I only have to do this every few weeks, then no biggy reinserting all my passwords for all the different sites I use (and no, I don't want to use password managers, I don't trust them)
Today it happened within hours of Force Quitting Firefox, this is too much!!!
The only reason I didn't report this problem earlier is I simply expected an eventual newer version of Firefox to fix this bug.
Firefox 133.0
Normal behaviour: click-drag bookmark within bookmark menu pull-down to position where I want bookmark Failure behaviour: click-drag fails to move bookmark, until I reboot Firefox, then it works again

Since updating Firefox I can no longer connect to known good sites without getting "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue".
This includes U.S. government sites! For instance, try connecting to https://covidtests.gov/ .
Why completely block access to the site? Why can't I make exceptions or tell Firefox to accept the risk and continue?

I suppose this is a kind of support question, of sorts, but in my opinion this also has to be treated as a complaint, in a sense.
About one and a half months ago, Firefox became unresponsive, that is, it became awfully slow. I experienced just about every issue with the browser that was mentioned in the following support pages and support issues (posted by others) and I read all of those :
Websites don't load - troubleshoot and fix error messages
firefox is extremely slow or fails to load sites
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1550371
Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems
Secure connection and security warning error pages in Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-connection-failed-firefox-did-not-connect
An oddball situation had occurred in which I couldn't for the likes of me go to my librarything.com homepage at each restart of the previous Firefox session, which also causes lagging when the session wants to connect to the other (normally unproblematic) website session tabs, and I also get multiple connection errors + insecure connection notifications for some of these websites. (sometimes refreshing a page does not help, sometimes it does)
I got bored reading all those support pages and trying out the solutions, because nothing seemed to help. In the long run, I decided to de-install the whole browser after backing up bookmarks, speeddial settings, passwords and the whole profile. Simultaneously, I also tested the connectivity to these websites in another browser (Brave) and this did not present me with any problem.
So I did the following :
1) deleted the whole cache and closed the browser 2) uninstalled FF with Revo Uninstaller (which has an option to remove all remnant files / folders/ registry items on the Hard Drive) 3) made sure to remove all cached leftovers from HD by using multiple cleanup tools in succession : 1) Wise Disk Cleaner followed by 2) Bleachbit followed by 3) CCleaner
Went to the mozilla website, downloaded and installed the last version of FF. Next, imported bookmarks, speeddial settings and passwords. Next, reinstalled the Firefox extensions I used before (without any lag until one and a half months ago). I also did NOT copy the stored profile but decided on starting afresh with a new profile.
Everything worked lightning fast and efficiently until a few days ago, when I received an automatic update of Firefox - 151.0.3 - and all of a sudden, the same problems are reoccurring. And again, I can't connect to an unproblematic website like librarything.com, whereas before the update I was able to without any problem !!!
What the hell is going on with these auto-updates ???

zero issues on google chrome browser while video chatting. zero issues on zoom. its firefox's google videochat that people cant hear me. feels like a repeat issue of what happened months ago when the issue wasnt with me. please fix this again

I've asked about this before but got no help Firefox is my browser of choice. Occasionally, I find in necessary to use Chrome.
The vast majority of time, when are both are active at the same time, one or both crash, like today. Firefox closed abruptly, then the crash report appeared. I have the crash report. Chrome froze up, and had to be shut down in Task Manager.
It only occurs in this scenario. Rarely does Firefox crash otherwise.
Can someone please advise where to go to get help?

I'm having much difficulty in attaching a article I see to Facebook. Its possible the problem may be I'm not using the right instruction on the Firefox options when I right click the article I want to attach to Facebook. Some of those options are, Save link as, Copy link, when I right click for options. Can someone explain what is the right option to use? And, how do I proceed once I choose the correct option to make that attachment to a Facebook message I'm replying to? There are times a picture of the article will attach to the Facebook message, but the text that is associated with the attachment will not appear? Can someone please help? Thank you.

In the last few days, after some minutes of usage, parts of Firefox become unclickable:
- I can still click on tabs to change tabs. - When hovering over the cross button to close a tab, it changes appearance as it should. Clicking the button does nothing. Ctrl+w still closes the button. - Clicking on the address bar does nothing. - Cannot click on back, forward, refresh buttons. - Cannot click on any add-ons. - Cannot click on preferences. - Can click on the button to open a new tab. There, I can enter an address. Once the page has loaded, address bar becomes unclickable again. - Bookmarks toolbar is still working as expected. - Keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+t, ctrl-w, ctrl-l) still work as expected.

As of last week, FF works for a few minutes on startup, but then when you open a new tab and try to go to a site you just get the dancing period, nothing opens. Already open tabs with sites generally still work, but sometimes crash the tabs after a bit. We've tried starting without extensions, uninstalling and reinstalling FF, changing the profile, logging in the PC (Win 10, up to date) with a different login, running SFC and DISM on the PC, and just about everything else.
Opening the FF console shows this message when the tab just rocks the period:

Edge works perfectly (and unfortunately, I'm having to use Edge to enter this ticket.). Other applications don't have any issues. I'm not having this issue on 2 other similar PCs I have that run FF, only this one.
Any ideas of what might be the issue with FF on this PC? Thanks, Alex

I've noticed since a few upgraded of Firefox tat I am having an issue loading my local uTorrent GUI at: https://192.168.0.xxx:36724/gui/index.html. I am currently using 132.0.2 x64 and it eventually loads after 3-4 minutes. There are absolutely zero add-ons at the moment, and it does not matter if it is a portable version or standard installed version. I do not seem to have this issue while using Firefox (latest) ESR portable version.
Is there something I'm missing here? I am not sure if it is the port that's the issue with Firefox, because I have a local website using port 9090 and 8080 without any issues on loading. Also, it is happening with the nightly version of FF as well. All other browsers load quickly.
Kind regards,
Shedrock

Went into Firefox and got the error message: Platform version 131.03 is not compatible with min version>=131.02 & max version>=131.02 So I'm thinking that the last update caused the error. I did a system restore to a week earlier, and after 5 hours, the computer rebooted to that date. Upon opening Firefox, I found the the notice that the next time Firefox opens, it will update. After closing, and reopening, Firefox updated and displayed the same error message. Nor quite sure what to do, I downloaded Firefox again, and was going to uninstall and reinstall. But as soon as the download finished, it loaded. So now I have the new Firefox without all of my saved bookmarks and passwords. I thought I'd read someplace that that wouldn't happen, and all of my password and bookmark history would transfer to the new Firefox. As if that wasn't enough to ruin my day, I found that the new Firefox isn't working in my wife's account on the same computer. She gets the same error message as I did before the new install. I know, my fault for not backing up the bookmark and password files, but what's my option now?

Firefox is blocked by some websites, saying it is a bot, have you had this happen?
You have been blocked.
Why?
Something about the behaviour of the browser has caught our attention.
There are various possible explanations for this:
You are browsing and clicking at a speed much faster than expected of a human being. Something is preventing JavaScript from working on your computer. There is a robot on the same network (IP XXX.XX.X.XXX) as you.

I asked this a year ago and never saw a solution (other than 'gee, it should work yet'.) I use the local Windows Hosts file to give my router a quick reference name to get into it. That too has worked for years but began to fail last year. Inconvenient. The best I could track this down, it has something to do with forced DNS lookups and skipping the old Hosts file. If so, any work around to get my system simplicity back? Attached is what I see on each attempt.
I tried various settings for DOH and nothing works. I can reference the Hosts file in a Windows Cmd Prompt and it resolves just fine. Something is screwy in Firefox for some time now and I'd like to know what.
