While I was doing my banking I got an error message saying I was running an older version and needed to update my browser. When I updated to the latest version of Firefox all my bookmarks and passwords got dumped. All of them. I can't find a previous profile to reinstall anywhere or an option to install a previous version. How do I roll this back?

By the way: I AM NOT HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!!!

Had Firefox on pc for a number of years however recently it failed to load. I uninstalled it and attempted to re- download it however the download gets stuck at the initial stage, reads now installing, a white bar appears but nothing further happens ! I can leave it downloading for half an hour and nothing. If I close the download Firefox appears to be installed however when I open the browser there's just a page with blank white boxes where the headers should be. Not sure why this is happening as Edge works fine. Any help would be appreciated.

I am wondering what if anything regarding settings, customization, data, etc is likely to break if I perform this update? THis has happened in the past and is why I turned auto update off. Should any intermediate updates be done to stepover/convert any of the data structures to a newer format?

i do not want the new update of firefox, and theres no way to shut off the updates. i can only switch to ask me when to install and manually install, not that i do NOT want to EVER install the latest firefox, because it truly SUCKS. it screwed up all the fonts everywhere on the web, somethings are huge and others are too small to read. i woke up a couple of days ago to an unreadable internet. i had to reinstall the last update before this one, start from scratch with all my passwords and a lot of hours of messing with my computer just to have it bearable and able to read my emails. now it keeps prompting me to install the latest. like every few hours i get an annoying pop up to install the latest. then to get it to go away i had to click on something, that downloaded it even though i dont want it. i seriously may have to switch browsers and abanadon you all completely because thats how bad your latest update is, and thats how much it sucks to not be able to stop it form harassing me every few hours to instal it....with no way to turn it off completely that i do not ever want the latest crap update.

I always was a fan of firefox 56.0. When ever the updates are available I decline. I got it before and had to redo some stuff the way I like it. I have heard others complain about these problems and now youtube is all messed up. Where I have my tabs there is some discoloration and the tabs are missing a lot of sites I had in them, I guess my computer did the latest update. How can I go back to FF 56.0?

New to me Surface3 pro tablet. Have FF on my desktop, want it on the tablet and synced with the desktop. Download and install were fine up until i went to log in on the tablet. I mis spelled the email address and did not notice until the codes never arrived. I cant find a way to get FF to "forget" what i entered. I uninstalled hoping that would do it and deleted the FF old data file it saved on the screen, but no matter what i do it keeps coming back to the old misspelled entry and does not let me log out or change it. Pretty niche problem, but I couldn't find anyone else with the same kind of problem. Whenever I try to download a file with "%" on its filename, the "%" character gets changed to an underscore. Like say, if I try to download a file named "Skyrim 100% save file", it becomes "Skyrim 100_ save file". Not sure why this is even happening, but it only happens in Firefox. Not Chrome nor Edge.

I just checked to see if there were an update to Firefox, for my secondary laptop. But for some reason it wants to update from "Version 115.0.3 (64-bit)" to "115.1esr".

I have never used ESR in my life, so why does it want to update to ESR?

Is this expected, or is there a problem with this? It is intentional that I use my Windows 7 64-bit laptop.

Hello, For me, there is no substitute for browsing with Firefox. But for some time now I've been getting notices that I'm not using the current browser version, for example in my email program and the banking application. However, Firefox info in the menu says that I am using the current version and there are no updates available. Here is the Firefox version shown to me: 78.15.0esr (64-bit) I work with an iMac of the following version: iMac (21.5 inch, from 2010) - OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 (15G22010); - Processor: 3.06GHz Intel Core i3; - Memory: 4GB 1333MHz DDR3; - Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB Maybe my computer is too old for the latest version, but why does Firefox Info show me that the browser is up to date and there are no updates? I tried to log onto Youtube so I could make a few comments on a football game. They had to send me a code to my email (HOTMAIL) BTW I never received a code to LOG into YouTube. I used "Snip & Sketch" as I have many many times before but now I open a photo to edit it and Microsoft has taken over my photos. I mean as far as my editing capabilities. I've tried all the "OPEN WITH" options but can not get to the basic photo editor. Need some help here... Thanks in advance Steve

I´m using this addon in Firefox:

But when I double click to download a picture, it gets no extension, it is a blank file. To watch the picture, I have to manually change to .jpg

I contacted the addons support and they told me the issue is in Firefox webbrowser and not in the addon.

How do I solve this ?

I was watching MSNBC on livenewsmag.com as usual and when I had to refresh, a Firefox screen said I had to update my browser in order to view content. An installer downloaded with a warning -- why is Firefox giving me a warning about its own file. And why is this happening with almost no further explanation of what to do.

Firefox 115.3 kept crashing on opening. I tried Safe Mode, but that also just crashed straight away. I'm not aware of any changes that have been made that might trigger this. I've not changed any settings, or Add-Ons, or anything like that.

Even though I was supposed to be getting the latest updates, I was not informed of 116. So I have now downloaded and installed 116, and everything has disappeared. Bookmarks and settings, all gone.

I know they still exist, cos I can see them in Firefox 112 on my laptop. But on my desktop, it's like a virgin installation.
