Since Firefox updated? a week ago we have lost our browser and can not install a new setup. The cursor freezes before we can finish the new install. Any ideas for what to do? We did like Firefox before they fixed? it and we lost use. Thank You.

I am using Firefox on Linux. Version is showing as 114.0.2 when I do firefox --version. The display in the Firefox windows is completely messed up. Can't show what I mean as I probably can't get a screenshot. Is this to do with hardware accelerated video? These messages appeared when I tried it from the command line: "[GFX1-]: glxtest: libEGL missing methods for GL test Missing chrome or resource URL: chrome://global/skin/icons/warning-16.png" It starts and then has very high CPU. I had to reboot. I may have added something to the config in the past, using the GUI, but can't remember what I did, maybe to do with the hardware acceleration, thinking I could try seeing if it would work. I tried a few things adding these lines to a user.js file in the profile folder (something I found online):

"user_pref("browser.preferences.defaultPerformanceSettings.enabled", false); user_pref("layers.acceleration.disabled", true");

This has not helped. Is there anything else I can do?

Hi, my 2008 Mac Pro uses OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6 and I am on Firefox 78.15.0esr, I cannot install the new upgrade. Can I continue using the older version of Firefox even though the sync will not work anymore?

After wipe of drive and reinstallation of Ventura by the Apple Store, and migration from Time Machine, Firefox won't launch. It's there, but it won't open. Click the icon and the icon moves as if it were going to launch, but the app doesn't open. If I were to reinstall Firefox, would it sync with my settings and Bookmarks?

There was a hardware problem with my iMac; the Apple Store fixed it and in the process wiped the disk and reinstalled Ventura. I then restored from Time Machine. Most things work, but Firefox is one that doesn't. It will not open. If I click the Firefox icon in the Dock, it looks like it's going to open --- the icon moves to the right and bounces back --- (something similar happens if I click on the app in the Applications list), and then Firefox fails to open. No error message or anything. Firefox is still opens on my iPad and iPhone. Would it be of any use to reinstall Firefox? Would the new installation automatically find my Bookmarks and sync with the iPad and iPhone?

I have a PC with Windows 7 64b that I have updated after having synchronized with two laptops and one Android. After that Firefox works on all the units except the PC. On that I can see all Firefox shortcuts and Firefox account. But when I try to connect to a web place the screen is blank. I have also tried to sut down the computer and start again. No change. RAM memory is okay, storage on unit C: is a bit small and the CPU is Intel Core i5 3470@ 3,2GH instead of Pentium 4 and 4GH. Should I go back to an older version of Firefox that is not som demanding or is there someting else I can fix?

I have a System 76 laptop running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. The LTS (Long Term Support) ended years ago with Firefox 66. All of that works fine still. My problem is: 1. The world is telling me to upgrade my browser. 2. Mozilla tells me "Note: If you use your Linux distribution's packaged version of Firefox, you will need to wait for an updated package to be released to its package repository. This article only applies if you installed Firefox manually (without using your distribution's package manager)." 3. There will never be an updated package because LTS has ended. 4. IS THERE A WAY TO MANUALLY INSTALL A NEWER BROWSER LIKE FIREFOX 123?

I will be receiving a new HP Laptop to replace a 2013 Dell Inspiron desktop and would like to to transfer my Firefox browser, settings and bookmarks when it arrives in a couple of weeks. Can you help with the easiest way for me, who has some knowledge but not the greatest at Tech. ? Thank you !

My update preference for Firefox is to download but I will install it. But it consistenly (over the last numerous updates) changes it to Automatic. I do not want Automatic updates. I want to control when it updates. I do not see this issue addressed anywhere. I have checked numerous times. Please help! My sincere thank you for your time and attention to my request for help. I bought a second laptop. The second laptop keeps insisting on a master password to sync passwords with my first. I have NEVER set up a master password on my first and I am stuck! There is no option to import from the SAME browser. My first laptop keeps downloading a CSV file that my second refuses to acknowledge that it IS a CSV file.

Firefox (on 2nd laptop) asks me if i want to save passwords and autofill, I always say yes BUT ZERO autofill. Back to the paper age. I have had to write down my pass words from my first and write them in every time. I have run every malicious software and sacn can I can find.

Ideas anyone please.

I am not sure when exactly problem started but for few months I have problem with automatic update of firefox. It properly detects update and downloads it but when I click to restart browser and apply update (this should close browser and display update install bar) nothing happens - browser simply closes. When I launch it again and go into "about firefox" again I see spinning circle next to "installing update". Of course this update never installs. When I close it for 2nd time and go into "about firefox" it goes back to "update ready to install, click to restart" - and again, when I click it browser simply closes without restarting and installing update. I tried removing my profile, using safe mode, disabling antivirus. Issue seems to be related to firefox itself. I also tried removing mozilla maintenance service but it did not help. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? For now only way for me to update firefox is manually download full installer from website and then it installs latest version without any problems - until next month comes and I have to update it again.

How on earth do I update my Mozilla Firefox, I cannot play my Apple TV or Amazon Prime, which I am paying for, until I update it! I have tried really hard but am 78 and it's not happening!
