Sometimes when a a browser add-on is having trouble, I removed it, then hit undo, and sometimes it works again after that adds it back on. I thought I'd do that today since some were showing blanks instead of their icons. I did one from the manager just fine, but when I removed one from the toolbar instead of the manager, no undo option was presented, and I don't recall which it was. How can I undo, or view recently removed extensions?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble opening the website https://learnaboutcat.com/. Every time I try to load a full page, an article, or a category, it simply doesn't work. I'm not sure what caused this issue, but I'm eager to find a solution as soon as possible. Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. It would be really helpful if you could try opening a website, click on any category or article, and let me know if you encounter the same problem. Any suggestions or solutions you can provide will be highly valuable. Thanks a bunch!

Everything under Logins and Passwords, and Forms and Autofill is unchecked. A "Primary Password" has never been set in firefox.

Can't get it to stop asking, which is made worse by the fact that nothing is selected to prompt it nor is anything stored for it to use.

Hello everyone.

I've been using Firefox for quite a few years now and I'm used to keep my pinned tabs open after closing and then opening a Firefox windows.

Yesterday I noticed that after closing the navigator with the "X" in the tool bar menu, as I usually do, the pinned tabs are not "recovered" when opening again.

This happened randomly without configuration changes involved and drivers/firefox are updated to the last version available.

Moreover, I've tested the same in my notebook and it works just fine, as it keeps the tabs open when a new window is open.

Is there any troubleshooting for this or do you have any idea what could have caused this to happen?

When I print to a PDF file, Firefox changes internal links (#go-there) to full external links (either https://the.website.tld/paper.html#go-there or file://home/me/paper.html#go-there).

This is obviously wrong, since the links are internal to the document.

How to I change this behavior?

i've facing this issue for weeks. i've completely abandoned windows server 2019 as daily os and installed windows 10 with latest patches. installed firefox and firefox developer as usual and did my same settings for years. but videos can't be played on reddit, twitter and linkedin. i tried to refresh browser, disabled addons (only ublock and enhancer for youtube is installed) to be sure. but still got nothing. in my laptop with same addons and same privacy & security settings could play videos.

I have been trying for a while now to set up a proxy on my own and have Firefox connect to it. Since there are a few options on how this can be accomplished in theory, the only way I way able to get it working was by using an Http Proxy. I looked at the connections Firefox is initiating towards the proxy using Wireshark. I was shocked to say the least. When trying to use an HTTPS Proxy, Firefox doesn't encrypt the connection to the proxy at all. So the domain I'm trying to connect to and the Credentials I use to log into the proxy are visible in cleartext. That is an absolute No-Go! Is there a way I can configure Firefox to encrypt the connection between itself and the proxy? If not, are there any plans on implementing this kind of functionality?

Over the last few weeks, I would say four times in last month, all my pinned and tabbed websites disappear. Currently the space where they normally go is blank. Please advise.

I am trying to access, patient network during dialysis treatment, Edge shows access blocked! Firefox. Brings up login page, userID, pw text boxes display. User ID & PW entered. Result Negative: Unable to connect, bullet points USELESS. Attempted CTRL + I, no method to load URL into site permissions function (searched for web page permission list) not found, Privacy & Security, not listing... A) How to enter a site + set site permissions. B) WTH... ctrl+I, what's the use of this, if access options aren't part&parcel of menu?!!! C) Where is the option to enter 'a' URL, & 'set' access permissions? Why must it be difficult to load a desired web site?!

The first post on the Facebook page will always display the timestamp, none of the remaining posts display the timestamp. The space for the timestamp is there and hovering the mouse over it will show the date and time (so the information is on the page, just not displaying). It is the same on different Facebook pages and using different Facebook accounts. I have checked my settings. I have cleared my caches, history, etc. I have restarted my computer many times. I have operated Firefox in troubleshooting mode, with extensions and add-ons disabled. I have done an anti-virus sweep with Kaspersky. This issue does not occur when I open Facebook in Microsoft Edge browser. I think this may have started approximately May 18 2023.

when playing videos, firefox makes the videos much darker and higher contrast than the original videos, as well as maxing out the cpu on my laptop when playing video, started a day ago or so.

I purchases a new computer that had Firefox installed on it already.

After Windows 11 setup...

1st starting Firefox up I got a message saying:

The program can’t start because VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

After, it would load but, was getting every time I loaded it up or a new page: Gah. Your tab just crashed

I did all the solution I could find for Firefox crashing (plus more google results): https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-crashes-closing-or-quitting

THIS DID NOT WORK!

But then I decided to focus on the VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing issue.

And here is what solved it for me:

1. Visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
2. Go to the section Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022, and download the following executable file: vc_redist.x64.exe
3. Install this file
4. Restart the computer and run Firefox

Suddenly (last day or so) the timestamps on Facebook posts are missing (except on the first on the timeline). The data is there, you can hover over the location where the timestamp should be and the date and time will pop up. This still works as usual on Chrome, so I don't think it is a Facebook issue. Since yesterday on Facebook I can't see the time a post was written like I always had and like it happensa for example on Chrome, does this is happening to others?

This was resolved about a year ago; now the problem is back, as of updating to Firefox 113.0.1 this evening.

Initially post-update the close tab button was in a weird, random place on the tab bar. I have adjusted the margins to put the button back where it's supposed to be!

I changed :

.tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button {
  opacity: 0;
  margin-left: -4.5px !important;
  margin-right: 2px !important;
}

to:

.tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button {
  opacity: 0;
  margin-left: -4.5px !important;
  margin-right: 35px !important;
}

to move the button back onto the left. That may seem like a drastic change but that's the lowest value I could find which produced the result I want.

However, it's not quite the result I want! As of updating to 113.0.1, the tab title itself now disappears altogether on hover.

I have tried to correct this in CSS using the .tab-text and .tab-label attributes, but without any luck so far.

Can anybody help me with this, before I'm forced to downgrade to Firefox 112?

Better yet... how about we just make this an option in Settings, as it should be?!

On computer restart, firefox factory resets itself, all my extension are unavailable so I have to toggle them off then on, i get the 3 initial welcome tabs of firefox, and my theme is removed. this is very annoying, first time I just hoped this was an accident and i put all preferences back but now its starting to waste my time

I've just had to completely reinstall windows without being able to backup my files (I couldn't launch my computer in order to actually back them up) meaning I've lost my recovery codes. I thought this would be fine as I could just sign back into firefox on this new install of Windows but as it turns out I must've forgotten to put my sign in information into my password manager. Again, I thought this would be okay as I still have access to the email I used to sign up to my firefox sync but I got the message saying I'd lose my data which isn't fine and now I'm at a bit of a loss. I've had to use a spare email to make an account and ask here but I'd really love my old account back. Is there any way at all I can get back into my account without losing my bookmarks and passwords? If not, how much information would I end up actually losing? I'm slightly unclear on that part. Do I lose absolutely everything? I'm a bit stressed about all of this ontop of losing all of my old computer files so I'm sorry if this is a commonly asked question but I was struggling to find anything that helped me D:
