I have been a fan of the awesomebar for quite some time; tab selection using % enables progress after chaotic web surfing and bookmark searching using * circumvents the need of retracing already known websites. (I have removed suggestions and history though, I find that those are mostly in the way.)

One limitation for me as a programmer is that while searching for Python helps me find the correct bookmarks, including C in a search is not helpful, as a c anywhere in a bookmark will give a hit. This even goes for '.com'! The same problem occurs when searching for bookmarks in the bookmark library.

My suggested improvement would be to allow search terms to be interpreted narrowly. This could be done by adding quotes, for example "C" (single quotes could also work).

Is this already possible in some way? And if not, where would be the best place to suggest the improvement? [feedback page reads "Please check back soon"] ( and I'm not sure whether this suits the Bugzilla platform.

Miro.com is an online collaborative whiteboard. When using the mouse, the scroll wheel is used by the site to zoom in/out of the whiteboard. As of Firefox 88, the speed at which zoom occurs on this website when using the mouse wheel is much faster than in previous releases of Firefox, causing the zoom steps to be much too large too fast. This has made it difficult to use this site.

Note that I'm not talking about Firefox magnification zoom, but about how Firefox is passing mouse wheel information to the Miro.com website for use in their whiteboard zoom feature.

Other users on the Miro community board are reporting they fixed this issue by reverting to Firefox 87:

I have firefox sync set up because I have to reset my computer sometimes, for personal reasons. However, upon logging into your firefox account to sync the data, it requires a code from the email account. BUT, the password to my email account is on the firefox account I'm trying to sign into, meaning I can't sign into my email to get the code to sign into firefox. I had to make a new account (the one I'm using now) in order to ask a question about it. Please help as soon as possible.

Give me a break !! the complaint I had which I found a workaround was to DELETE up to 1G of cookies so I had a little usable ram and space on my HDD... Some of the cookies were HUGE... My OS has been Linux mint or other flavours of Linux since about 1990 and used to boot in less than 20 seconds, then it would load the previous days applications where I left off in another 10 seconds... Now, judging by the sixes of the files downloaded to refresh Firefox you are writing BLOATWARE WTF... Why do you think I would not touch Intel & windoze? DAZE of compulsory Amerikan speling & corporate spying are numbered if this keeps deteriorating... 20,000 cookies a day? and how big is the file to install firefox... Unfortunately my main desktop computer decided it no longer wants to boot up. I was using Firefox as my browser and would like to know if there is some way I can get all my bookmarks back. I have a second desktop computer and was wondering if I opened a Firefox account on that computer and then signed in with the same email and password, would I be able to see all my bookmarks or am I simply out of luck?

Thank you for your help--Matt

For years I've been right clicking on memes and GIFs, selecting "copy image location," and pasting it in a forum on a website. I know there are other ways of accomplishing this but losing the ease factor of "copy image location" is AWFUL. In retrospect, the simplicity of it was breathtaking. Does anyone know the possibility of its return in an update?

I'm developing an add-on for Firefox which will take the colors from the favicon of the current tab to color bits of the tab-bar dynamically.

I'm having trouble finding out how I can modify browser CSS, for example in the Browser Tool box console, this works perfectly fine: ```const activeTab = document.querySelector('.tabbrowser-tab[selected="true"] .tab-background'); activeTab.style.background = "rgb(0, 221, 255)";```

but when inputting this same code in my add-on, it cannot query that same selector (I've given it tabs and theme permissions). This also does not work as a stylesheet.

Can anyone point me to what I need to access the browser UI DOM?

Good Day. Connection to the official French Tax website https://cfspart.impots.gouv.fr (French IRS-equivalent) is not authorized on my browser (Firefox 78.10.0esr / MacBookPro OSX 10.11.6) although this browser version is said to be supported by the governmental Tax website.

Someone could be trying to impersonate the site and you should not continue. Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust cfspart.impots.gouv.fr because its certificate issuer is unknown, the certificate is self-signed, or the server is not sending the correct intermediate certificates. Hi all,

I'm having a repeat of this issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1291551

Again some links from emails have been giving me the "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" page with the error message "SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN". I get this in safe mode but not in private browsing. I have tried all of the fixes suggested last time I asked about this problem including deleting cert9.db but that hasn't worked this time (so maybe it wasn't the fix last time either).

To be explicit, I've tried all fixes on these pages so please don't suggest them again without providing an explanation about why you think it will work (a technical explanation please): https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-and-other-browsers-cant-load-websites https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-connection-failed-error-message https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/connection-untrusted-error-message http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_websites https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-does-your-connection-is-not-secure-mean https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websites-dont-load-troubleshoot-and-fix-errors

And also this one, which is actually related to the message (none of the above are): https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-does-your-connection-is-not-secure-mean#w_ssl-error-bad-cert-domain

Some examples of links that I get this message for: https://click.mail10.smallworldlabs.net/ls/click?upn=4FIN3hZFvI-2BP9iq5nue2vk-2BIMF5sm7TLqXM-2BBHmHs4tQjfdaurWm34ztLj9SPiVE4gseyCl-2FaqSWT59ygV9BpAcDzFkriqc5NC2qBiwl5aOaxL8F5mgo-2BFX-2Fgbi7iwZeFhIlJVBY5pUPWQy6owSYMskwXWDY7Y1aaoMS-2BkHbmCPTNSg29Z4JoYD7fjx9bZW5b2-2Fg5dX2SSuZS5csOf3H6IGmB8UNGulRns8j4EzznpinCvgJxocujRrlszMnMzDFaGlZcc-2BWOcJNASuRsaEH6HcXAoqMnLhDAoAdn0UChLWOY-2FfbP2Ib-2FUEDr6NloUbD-2FnHqHVVYd821nihjMp740-2F5x7GMXZmwRiFR7H2o2PqTC4rmR-2BSqxJ-2BuAl15SvxjWYbO9ClP8PSHw5pY80IikJqK10tVO8wFNKUY0vnffi80-3DW8m3_a4b-2FpboTDHPk-2BrdoYKQMvkNzRfSbL-2BRxE8OVpRrBC237mTF3qcpluLuTnfAWEU7fFwhhtOg-2BbDd1pxD5bmCpb3y8948sPEH5oTF-2Fsg1k82R-2Be5SnCvGNogmdD1MB5K11JV0Ow8rxc63etMs7M6GZzfslGWbxLHW9hydaH2RME5RPXqcBAsIRau-2FizQsq15rW5BclijLm23gWXw-2BvlJjO8gxiJ-2BQwpw2wvKihYGT4DKxPTObnz-2Fpn1ua2ng0ah-2BN1xDub-2Bav5GSEDaq4OPiG8JUArfSPtya-2ByoEn6CzLpZaqsLJ5rbTCztuAV25pOmNhojUORS-2Fnyv8FFlz-2Fh4EX6xolAvA1UgOdaXT3xescKfmROnAvFsYyB88QxIKBXi1-2Br

Hello,

since the latest update I experience problems with printing. In my store we print hundreds of little slips every day, they are the size of 1/3 of A4 format.

The webapp which prints them generates an A4 PDF, where only the top 1/3rd of the page is actually filled with information. Usually we print this via systems dialog, we have it set to print on Letter DL format, change the orientation 90 degrees and zoom to 270%, which gives us a perfect result.

As of yesterdays update, Firefox somehow changed the alignment rules, and the zoomed-in page now gets centred instead of aligned left, which completely breaks our process.

Is there any way to force left alignment? This is affecting two different machines exactly on the day of the update rollout. Changelog only says the print margins have been changed but I believe also the alignment has been affected by that.

Thx

There's a website I visit that firefox caches for some reason in such a way that it can't be updated anymore when the page changes. I know that the developers of the site won't fix it, so I need a way to fix it on my end. I have to Ctrl F5 to refresh the page otherwise it will say "Posted 1 second ago" permanently and never show any comments or upvotes or anything.

I was hoping there was a way to disable the cache for a specific website only. There is a way in Chrome, but I don't want Chrome.
