Over the past few updates, I’ve noticed an issue with Firefox where it no longer restores my previous session when reopening the browser.

I normally keep four tabs pinned and about five additional tabs open for browsing and work. In the past, I could simply click the X to close Firefox, and when I reopened it, all my tabs that are pinned and unpinned would automatically come back. Recently, this stopped happening. Now, if I close Firefox, it opens with a fresh window instead of restoring my previous tabs.

I’ve already checked the setting under General/Startup, and Open previous windows and tabs is enabled. Because of this issue, I avoid closing Firefox entirely, since rebuilding all my tabs each time has become a hassle.

Is there a way to fix this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

I was dismayed to discover that the latest versions of Firefox (e.g. 141 on Linux) unify the search and address bars again. There does not seem to be any easy and obvious way to change this.

On my 128 esr Linux Firefox I have an address bar that does not accept search terms and a separate search bar.

How can I get this behaviour in 141?

So I need the ability to turn off every new feature you offer or I will and I AM POSITIVE MANY AMERICANS AND MUCH OF HUMANITY WILL CANCEL THE TECHNOLOGY COMPLETELY. We don't need it it falls into Entertainment and it is not the only choice. There are still books campfires fishing making models collecting minerals sports humanitarian ojectives honesty and Truth available in real life. Stop shoving us backwards why are you shoving a pathetically incapable technology in our faces? is it so you can offer a convenient implant that will SOLVE EVERYTHING????

Mozilla changed the longstanding "Copy Link Address" hotkey from "A" to "L" in Firefox 88.

They have decided to not consider reverting this change, even though "L" is far less accessible than "A" and brings it out of sync with accessibility keys across other browsers.

Reference: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1701324

Firefox broke copy link address right click context menu hotkey "A" again in Firefox 142 by adding "Ask an AI Chatbot" and this time I'm not sure I can get around it with an extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/link-copy/

Can this context menu option be made optional or something please?

When my internet goes out and I check if it's back up by opening Firefox, if it's not back up then all the tabs from the previous session get lost if I close the browser. None of my other browsers do this; they all open with the previous session. This is a major issue, because I lose hours of work each time.
