How do I remove the pop up blocker on Firefox for certain websites? I am doing an online course and each introduction for each chapter has a short video that pops up but as soon as that happens Firefox sends a "Critical error" message then the video stops so I thinks that's happening because pop up blocker is turned on and I just dont know how to turn pop up blocker off for specific websites only like this one I am using for my study course. How can I turn the pop up blocker just for this one website so that this doesn't keep happening?

In last few days I really have a big problem with trying to browse with my favorite browser Firefox. It is that cursor always goes to address bar instead of search bar when I am trying to surf the web. I tried all the fixes that I found online with changing things in about:config still with no solution.

I am running on Windos 11 and using latest Firefox version.

Hello! I just moved to Firefox a week ago and so far, I'm really happy I did. Nearly everything is better. That being said, there's one feature I used all the time on Chrome that I can't get working right here, and that's auto scroll. On Chrome, it worked no problem. When I clicked in the scroll wheel, it turned on auto scroll and would stay enabled until I clicked it again. One Firefox though, this isn't working right. When I click in the wheel here, it enables for a quick second before disabling itself. It's super annoying and makes it unusable. I found out it's because scrolling on the scroll wheel cancels auto scroll on Firefox, but not on chrome. So how do I make it so scrolling on the scroll wheel doesn't break auto scroll? I would like to remove the first item from the Tab Context Menu, which is "Add Tab to New Group", and simply have "Reload Tab" as the first menu item.

I was using this code, which worked in FF 145, until the latest update (FF 147)...

#context_openANewTab,
#context_moveTabToNewGroup,
#context_moveTabToGroup,
#context_ungroupTab + menuseparator {
   display: none !important;
}

However, now there is an extra separator line at the top of the menu (see attached images).

This code also removes the top menu item, but still leaves the separator line on top:

#tabContextMenu #context_moveTabToNewGroup {
  display: none !important;
}

Is there a way to remove the first menu item without adding the separator line?

Suddenly Firefox has begun to play bell tones for clicks with my mouse.

I am unable to disable this new behavior. It is ONLY happening with Firefox. No other browsers behave in this manner.

My PC sounds are shut off.

I never want bell tones ever at any time. Please help me discontinue this behavior as soon as possible. As someone who works with professional audio recording this is especially undesirable and disturbing.

Please. Somebody. Stop the madness.

Where is the configuration setting that enables javascript. Consumer Reports requires that the application be enabled to participate in a webinar I want to attend

I am getting exhausted with Firefox changing my configurations when updating. I always turn off automatic update for all software I use. I even turn off Windows updates. These updates always break something I regularly use and offer me little if anything that improves my experience.

Recently, the update modified my configurations to allow automatic updating. So I had to turn that off. A recent update removed the simple "!gm" shortcut to Google Maps. I had to create a new shortcut for Google Maps so I could type into the URL bar something like "!gm Missouri" to get the map to display. It wasn't displaying before this and returned search results like "General Motors". Ugh.

Can't Firefox stop updating my configurations and making life difficult for me?

With Firefox 144, there is unasked for/unwanted AI introduced. How do I ensure that all AI is completely disabled in my browser? I found a link describing some settings, but want to confirm this will disable ALL AI in the browser. I don't want it, don't trust the privacy/security holes yet to be found and would prefer it was not included in Firefox to begin with. The list I've found is:

Do I need to clear that field to ensure I don't get some auto opt-in in the future as more and more of this "stuff" is put into the browser?

Why not leave Firefox as a security/privacy conscious browser and put out a separate AI browser (FirefoxML?) for those that are not as concerned. How does Mozilla ensure that no information is leaked through AI from sessions for professionals that must protect physician/patient, attorney/client information or other legally confidential information?

Is there a way to turn off the “shake for AI summary” function on IOS? It doesn’t add anything to my experience, and more often than not, I end up accidentally shaking my phone and getting a summary I didn’t ask for.

If there’s a way to completely turn off the AI features, i’d like that too I’d prefer if my browser didn’t summarize the websites I visit in a way that can be inaccurate or lie to me.

Mozilla, please just remove these features entirely. If we want AI, we can go to ChatGPT or another website, I just don’t want it added into everything I use all of a sudden.

I read online that Firefox is planning on implementing AI features. Given the track record of AI in other browsers leaking private information, bogging down connectivity, and generally being a nuisance towards users, I was wondering if there will be opt out features in future updates? Or know of forum threads that will update with tutorials on how to turn off AI features?

If not, does anyone on this forum have recommendations for no-ai browsers?

I have strong ethical objections to the current generation of LLMs, and really strongly dislike contributing to Google's massive monopoly on most internet spaces, hence my using Firefox instead of Chrome. I was disheartened by the addition of an AI label to Firefox, and really would love to be able to continue using a good browser that doesn't shove AI slop down my throat. If the integration of LLMs to Firefox is going to continue, I wanted to ensure there will at least be some way to remove it from my browser

How do I turn off the “suggest AI summary” thing? The popup is annoying the hell out of me while I’m reading articles. I’m not going to use the AI summary feature so I’d like it to just stop. I use the Firefox application on iOS.
