using linux cinnamon, have to continuously sign in to my sites. I didn't have to do this before. what can I do to stop the cookie deletion or whatever is causing this??

With last updates on firefox desktop..(2 last updates)..every update reset all my websites logins..I had to relogin again in all my websites..what happened?..is normal?..or error?

I have a particularly infuriating problem. A few weeks back, Firefox stopped displaying my usernames and passwords whenever I wanted to log into a site. This coincided with my installing BitDefender, although I don't know why.

Through googling I eventually realised I could go into about:config to fix this. signon.rememberSignons displays as false, when I turn it to true it fixes the issue.

But here is the problem I can't solve. Everytime I restart firefox or my PC / Mac (I am using both, with a syncronised account on both windows and MacOS) it sets signon.rememberSignons to false AGAIN. Which means every single time I browse I have to go into about:config and fix this. Maddening.

Please can you help?

I have noticed for quite a long time (>1 year) that even though I have this setting correctly enabled to delete cookies and cache when closing the browser, when I reopen the browser, even after a computer restart, the data is still there. I have to manually direct the browser to delete these items for it to ever get rid of them.

I have spent countless hours looking at the same settings, all correctly enabled, yet this feature just will not work. I am fully current with the latest updates for the browser and computer. I have checked, and double checked to make sure I don't have anything listed in the 'exceptions' list. It is, and always has been empty. Using Win11 Pro desktop, current version of FF is 146.0.1 (64-bit) as I write this.

Seriously, what is going on? I even switched to another browser for a while and that browser's settings worked just fine and deleted all cookies and cache when closing.

Hello, I deleted Cookies and Site data and Temporary Cached Files and Pages, and all my Skype conversation and call history disappeared! Skype support say that they were deleted along with the temporary cached files. This is a major problem. Can anybody help me please?

Last night, I installed Firefox on my PC; after that, I installed the extensions I needed and logged in to YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp & other places too. Then I exited the browser, SHUT DOWN my computer, & went to sleep. Today, in the morning, when I turn my pc on & open firefox, it shows all extensions & website logins are gone, like I never logged in.

I may have found the reason for this problem; I use an Microsoft Build app called "PC MANAGER.". In the app, I click on deep clean, select everything, & it does remove all the saved logins and extensions logins from Firefox. But in Google Chrome, it doesn't remove anything. To be noted that, when I use the deep clean feature, it also cleans Chrome, the same as Firefox, yet the problems facing Firefox cannot be seen in Chrome.

I don't know how to fix this in Firefox.

Every time Microsoft updates my computer, or I shut it down and restart it, all the sites I use regularly do not recognize my computer and require me to identify myself (plus giving me messages that I am logging in from an unknown computer). What can I do to stop this?

To remove a cookie from a specific site, it takes about 8 or 9 clicks in "settings". I would love a one click feature that is easily accessible to remove that particular cookie. Any thoughts?

Hello, I have some issues with Firefox keeping my logged in my Google account. When I close Firefox it logs me out of Google. I have tried some methods from other threads on this site but still without success. I have the setting for delete cookies on Firefox close to off and have tried Firefox remember history and use custom settings. Thank you for reading this.

I am following all the online instructions I can find to turn off private browsing on Firefox - in Privacy and Security by clicking on 'Remember History' for example, and also restarting laptop - but it is not working and I must constantly log back into all my accounts and websites, including my e-mail account. I need assistance with specific and exact instructions how to remove private browsing and explanation why not working what I have already tried. Thank-you for your assistance.
