I am running Firefox 38.0.5 and got a warning from Wordpress that I need ed to enable cookies. Unfortunately, the entire options configuration has changed and I can't find cookies anywhere and the setting is definitely no longer under Privacy. Any suggestions because everything I found on the FF site doesn't fit the current version.

Yahoo mail login says Firefox won't accept cookies but my option is too accept cookies - so what's wrong?

My wife and I can't log into our Yahoo e-mail accounts (or, I guess, our Yahoo account). Whenever we try, we get the message: "The browser you're using refuses to sign in (cookies rejected)".

However, my cookies setting in Firefox is: 1) accept cookies 2) accept third-party cookies 3) keep cookies until they expire.

A few days ago I did change the cookie settings to 1) accept cookies from sites 2) do not accept cookies from sites 3) ask me every time. I also deleted a lot of cookies I didn't recognize or didn't want. I did this because I was (and still am) having trouble with a re-direction virus.

So if anyone has any suggestions as to what needs to be done to make Yahoo e-mail accessible again I would very much appreciate their advice.

I thank everyone for their advice in advance.

Thanks a million.

Cookie Manager - http://cookiemanager.blogspot.com/ Sometimes I login to a site & it seems to forget that I've been there & the info that I've input previously. That's particularily irritating if it's a game that I've taken to a high level.

If there is doc to support it, I can't find the answer to my problem. The "Save" icon at the bottom-right doesn't appear to do anything, & I don't really want to save every cookie anyway. The "Export" icon at the bottom appears to save all the cookies in a single file, which means that I'd be restoring all my out of date cookies?

What I want to do is to save one, or a few cookies & then be able to add/attach them to cookies already on the computer. Is this possible?

Now the browser version Firefox Quantum Extended Support Release 68.4.1esr (32-bit) for Alt Linux is installed on my computer. Upon request by the POST method in the specified browser from the Apache server on the same computer loads a static web page with the following META tag in its header: <META HTTP-EQUIV="Set-Cookie" CONTENT="name=password; PATH=/"> After that, cookies must be created in the browser. Really they are created - in other browsers (Chrome and Opera), but for some reason they ceased to be created in the Firefox browser. What is the reason for this and is it possible to resume and track their creation in Firefox? I would be grateful for any answer on this question.

Just this week I was deleting individual cookies as they appeared or when I was through with the site. Suddenly, that option is gone. Additionally, the "Manage Data" button/link claims to be the replacement. It does not work. I logged into several sites and nothing appeared in cookies. This includes my google account which dumps a copious amount of cookies and trackers on your browser. I have taken a picture of where the "show cookies" link/button used to be located.

I don't understand this change. I want control of my privacy and Mozilla is the best but this option being gone and having no real way to delete individual cookies is maddening.

Please tell me how to remedy this.

I changed my cookie settings because of a bank site that I needed to use to make an e-deposit. In order to do that, I had to enable 3rd party cookies. After I did that, I can no longer access my hotmail (outlook.com) e-mail account. I can't sign in to my account on Firefox, but I can on IE. Firefox is my default browser and I'd like to be able to sign in. Also, every single site I go to pops up a little window that asks me about accepting cookies.

I create an Asp.Net Session Coookie using Microsoft's owin Identity 2.0 on my website, and it has an expiration of 7 days. This works perfectly for IE, Chrome, and Safari.

However Firefox seemingly randomly deletes this cookie before the expiration date/time. My test pattern is like this: Sign in to my website. The cookie is there and I'm authenticated. Close Firefox, and re-open, then re-navigate to my website. I'm automatically signed in, just like I should be. Now Close Firefox and wait between 30mins - 24hours.

Now I Re-open Firefox, navigate to my website, and then one of two things happens. Generally, I'm signed out and have to re-sign in (the cookie is gone). However about 30% of time, I'll be logged in automatically. If I close firefox and re-open immediately, I'll be signed out. This time period varies by as much as 24 hours, and this happens across multiple (20+) Windows 7 computers.

Sometimes I'm signed back in and everything works fine, but this is rare, and usually less than an hour.

I'm using version 37 and 38 for testing (most testing has been done on: 38.0.5 Build ID 20150525141253).

I have Firefox set to Accept Cookies, not to delete cookies on close. I've tried adding my domain to the "allow" exceptions list. I've scoured forums and stack-overflow with no luck. I'm stumped and my client is unhappy. Any thoughts?

In the settings for Firefox 33.0 (I am using Ubuntu 14.04 but the functionality is the same for Windows 7) there are two different ways to delete cookies when firefox closes. Or at least there seems to be.

First is the keep cookies until firefox closes

Second is to check the box to clear history when firefox closes and in the settings check cookies.

What is the difference between these two options?

I usually have both setup but I was noticing that a login was not saving for td canada trust easyweb, even though I have an exception set for it. Now I unchecked to delete cookies when clearing the history on close and the login saves correctly.

This login saves 7 cookes under easyweb.td.com and 10 cookies under td.com and I have exceptions set for both. If I clear history on close and include cookies, half of the td.com cookies are gone when I close firefox and re-open. The same is true if I don't set the exception.

So currently I cannot figure out a way to keep all the cookies if I clear cookie history when firefox closes. What is the difference when this is enabled?

I accidentally clicked 'forget about this site' and I'm looking for a way to undo this. I've heard there is no way to recover the history from a particular site once it has been deleted, but surely it leaves some kind of record in the system? I read an article that suggested running the 'system restore' feature which gives me the option of 'restoring my computer to an earlier time' before certain changes were made. Would this work?

This problem has been bugging me, for God knows how long and I just can't get rid of it, unless I reset Firefox which is really not want I want to be doing just to get rid of this tiny, but irritating problem.

Firefox never remembers to be signed in still to Facebook, even in Safe Mode without extensions.

How can I get rid of this problem? If it isn't possible without resetting, I'd like a simple and concise tutorial on how to get all my extensions and settings back (however obviously not the one that keeps causing this problem). I've been using this Firefox profile for at least a good few years and it's all set up properly for my personal use. Thanks.
