Hi all,

Since recently Firefox keeps redirecting me as if I'm in Switzerland where I haven't been to ever since I use the internet. My location is in Croatia. I have tried to clear cache, cookies and browsing history multiple times, use incognito mode, my language is setup to English and I don't use VPN. Nothing helped. This unfortunately requires deeper dive because I can say for certainty that an individual who illegally surveils my device deliberately made this change and something needs to be done on Mozilla's end. Is there a way to directly contact Mozilla's support or what would you suggest to do to solve this issue?

Many thanks,

Lana

"TWP - Translate Web Pages" Extension It should be considered very dangerous. I have been using this extension for many years and I have experienced endless RAM leaks because of this extension. If let's say I have 64 GB RAM or 96 GB RAM, the extension will use all the resources of the computer in a few seconds all RAM + all page file memory + all RTX 4060 8 GB memory. Such behavior is similar to some malicious applications, which ends with a System crash "Unknown Hard Error" Extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/traduzir-paginas-web/

Hello, earlier in the day I pressed a keyboard shortcut on accident when picking up my keyboard and has changed google results quite dramatically. I grabbed my keyboard and had a menu pop up on the left side and after i closed it noticed my google results had a scroll bar now. The results page only presents itself on the left half of the screen and a scroll bar has appeared on both the right side, cutting off text, and bottom of the page. These scroll bars only move a tiny bit and are quite unnecessary, but makes scrolling a pain as I have to be sure I am outside the new scroll bar area as they take precedent from the main scroll bar. I have googled Firefox's keyboard shortcuts and haven't found the one i need to fix this. Before I'm asked, no I do not have crazy zoom on and no zooming in does not fix this problem.

I just got the update and love the sidebar customization. The only caveat is that there is no easy way to close a tab (not counting key shortcuts) without having to open the sidebar and click X that way. When it is a horizontal tab, the X is very upfront and easy to click. I was wondering if there would be any patch that would add a "close tab" button either to the right of the refresh button in the top left, or to the right of the "Open a new tab" button in the top right.

If there is already an easier way to close tabs, then I am all ears; the less clicks the better, and a more simple browser to operate!

We work with generating reports as a HTM format which we then open in Firefox to export as a PDF. We choose Firefox to do this as it neatly splits up the pages without cutting content in half. However, after the 126 update, images that are part of the HTM file no longer loads, leaving a blank void.

Does anyone know why this is or whether they know how to fix it? It is a result of plugging a vulnerability in the browser?

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Dzień dobry,

Piszę z sugestią, aby przy następnych aktualizacjach wprowadzili Państwo możliwość blokowania fraz w wyszukiwarkach, zwłaszcza tych kierujących do stron dla dorosłych. Chodzi mi o to, aby wpisując słowo np.

For almost a week now, I keep getting a message on a site I've been going to for more than 10 years (deviantart) when I use firefox on my computer, which I am not having these issues accessing using Safari on my phone.

403 ERROR The request could not be satisfied. Request blocked. We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner. If you provide content to customers through CloudFront, you can find steps to troubleshoot and help prevent this error by reviewing the CloudFront documentation.

Generated by cloudfront (CloudFront) Request ID: W081JkcKGAdFaiH5hK0ePW8AILhwsvlqJh5AjDfH8owoQtjYrCBOpg==

The request ID changes each time.

The steps I have taken so far:

  • Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions (everything was fine)
  • Reloaded page using Shift+ Left Click to bypass cache
  • Reloaded page with Ctrl + F5
  • Started Firefox in Troubleshoot mode to assure it wasn't my extensions (I only use ublock but better safe than sorry)
  • I disabled extensions after reloading in usual mode

What steps are next after these basic troubleshooting? I was hoping to use that site to share creations with friends.

Is there a possibility for Firefox to be able to detect the presence of an already open Private Window and add new links to it as new tabs instead of opening a whole new Private Window every time I want to open a private link?

So that the context menu would say "Open in new private tab" instead of "Open in new private window".
