Tell me how to stop advertisers from interferring with my rows of bookmarks since many times they take my upper left bookmark location which is the one I use most often. But weird bookmarks are showing up all the time and I continually have to remove them.
My Bookmarks seemed to have been disabled on the Bookmarks Bar. How do I restore them?

Unsure which 'topic' deletion applies to. All of a sudden I am unable to add or delete from my bookmarks and I think I may not be able to delete anything anywhere else either. Why has this occurred, suddenly, and how can I fix it without hiring an IT pro? I have been using Firefox as a browser for over twenty years and this has never happened before. I recently updated Firefox on my computer. After that, I can't find my old Bookmarks.
Also I find that I am UNABLE to add any new Bookmark. When I click on the 'Star' in the browser toolbar, there is nothing. Before I used to Get the Add Bookmark tab and a place to SAVE, now there is nothing.
Even after I type in the URL in the address bar, and open up the required page, I am unable to Add it to my Bookmarks.
