Hi

Now I've singed in my Firefox account on my Laptop after it was completely reset. After syncing data from my account there is nothing at all in history, bookmarks, etc. Could you please assist to recover my data?

I'm in the process of exporting my FireFox bookmarks as html files.

In this process I noticed that everytime I save (export bookmarks as html) as a file a location on my disk, then open up that file to inspect/check - I notice that FireFox appends to the exported file rather than replace. Even though it asks if I want to replace the existing file during the save dialogue.

I'm using win 8.1

So, that's fine I though, 'let's' just delete that file and start over. Long story short, it does not work; I did the following.

Before closing FireFox I went into FireFox settings and click on all catagories of History - and cleared. I then closed FireFox then in Windows Explorer went to where the original file (exported html bookmarks), and deleted that file directly from windows.

I then opened up FireFox again and exported the my bookmarks as html to the same location again. Even though that destination no longer has a file from before - when I reopen the just now newly export html bookmark file - I see the contents are the same as before - (I has the appended/duplicated html bookmarks).

It's like instead of exporting the bookmarks I actually see in FireFox, it is referring to some saved information somewhere instead and saving that.

How can I export what bookmarks and folders I actually see in FireFox instead of some internal bookmarks/folders FireFox thinks I have - In other words - is there some file I can delete or setting to clear?

My husband bought a new computer and signed into Firefox with the wrong email but the right password. Needless to say his decades of info disappeared. I have the recovery key from his old computer, am I guaranteed it will recover his old info? He is so sure it will fail he just wants to return the new machine and struggle with the crappy old one.

Hello, I accidentally deleted a folder named 'Claryce Family Photos' from my Google Drive about a month ago (or less). i kindly request assistance in recovering these files, they are important and I would like to print them. Thank you.

I have moved to a new laptop and followed the advice in how to back up and restore to transfer history and bookmarks. However only a small part of the history and bookmarks have come across

I keep getting a message saying can't sync. I also got an email saying my account is about to be deleted for non-use you mush sign in to save your account. Firefox is already signed in to i took that as a scam and deleted the email. but when i click on manage my account within Firefox it loads a page that says:

"Session Expired Sorry, something went wrong. Please sign out from the browser menu and try again."

Is this also a scam? I do not trust much of anything on the internet anymore, it seems that everything is a scam these days.

Also how do i change my primary email address? My current email address has been getting attacked a lot lately.

I have lost all my Firefox bookmarks, apparently because I inadvertently updated to a new version of Firefox. Of course, the online directions instruct me to click on links that do not come up when I follow the directions to access them. How do I get back my old Firefox bookmarks. Thanks for your help. My Mac shut down unexpectedly. Upon rebooting the newest version of Firefox - 138.0.1 was installed. All of my bookmarks have disappeared. I tried to restore from a backup but when I hit restore in the manage bookmarks window it says "choose file" but it lists no files to choose from. I found multiple backup files by accessing my Firefox profile via finder. However when I try to open them with Firefox it displays a blank page and nothing in the bookmarks tab. Is it possible that the bookmark files have also been deleted from the backups as well? If not, how do I transfer these files to the active bookmark tab in the menu bar other than using the restore function which offers no files to choose from?

I have most passwords stored in Firefox, and sync them between computers and my phone, and it works great. Recently I decided to move a certain few passwords elsewhere, and deleted them from Firefox on one computer. Days later, they still appear on most if not all of my other devices, even though sync doesn't report any errors. This is a bigger problem than it might appear at first glance: since I might have updated a password on another computer I can't choose just one that has the correct data and reinitialize syncing there.
