Hello. On/about 25jun2025 the sound on my Firefox videos stopped working from any source. I know enough to determine the problem is on Firefox. Videos on MS Edge worked fine. Sound works form VLC songs, etc. Sound does work with earplugs. Wondering if that could have caused the loss of speaker sounds. You think I could delete my current firefox and reinstall it. That would be a pain (an hour or so to set it up again.) Thanks, Bill

earlier i was watching youtube in firefox and it worked just fine. a few minutes later all is blurry i tried reinstalling firefox that did not help i turned off and removed some extent ions and still blurry.I went to Youtube on Chrome so clear so exact what a difference so what is wrong with firefox can not show the videos to show you the difference. I have been having this weird issue that I believe is being caused by firefox as no other internet browser has the same issue. When I'm playing music on spotify and I open firefox the sound goes quite bu the audio is still playing on spotify . One work around I have found is to take on of the tabs and use it to open a new window and the put it back with the others and the sound comes back again. I lost and need help as this is making it hard to want to use firefox which I have been a user of since it first came out.

On any video player that has a gradient, it breaks when I full-screen the video, showing as solid semi-opaque bars instead of the intended gradients.

This happens on any video player I've used that has a gradient, and is most noticeable on YouTube due to the double gradient.

It displays normally when I use snipping tool, so apologies for the bad quality on the second image.

I use Ublock Origin and Dark Reader, but this behaviour doesn't change when either is disabled.

Ever since upgrading to FF 140 yesterday, there is a new icon labeled "Manage use of DRM Software" in the browser just left of the URL, which violently shakes every time I open a website that requires approval to play DRM content.

Now, I do not play any DRM content and have deactivated anything related in the settings, yet every time I open e.g. discord.com where users might embed music or videos in chat rooms (that are optional and ignored by me) that silly icon starts shaking again, which is super annoying.

Is there a way to remove it altogether, or AT LEAST disable the shaking?

This has been an issue sins ever when I use a direct link to either a YT Channel or a Twitch Channel the Sound 100% never works. The sound plays for 1 frame and then just goes missing. when I open the Twitch homepage link with a Bookmark the issue does not occur.

p.s this happen with every audio source that I open with a link from my Bookmark. Youtube, Twitter, Twitch, Netflix ... tis super annoying and removes the use of Bookmarks for me. Reloading the site does not fix it, I have to open a new tab for it to work but only when I dont use any Bookmarks. Removing and creating new Bookmarks also does not change anything.

I hope someone can help me.

Each time a video call comes in, the message on messenger, says Video calling is not supported on this browser. I've gone to the browser settings and cannot find anything that would change this. Help.

allow audio and video is preset as the default, however, it is still muted. when you got to mute audio it won't play the video, and no audio/video seems to be working fine, I've followed all the guides, tried everywhere I'm aware of in firefox and nothing seems to work

I've been trying to play multiple videos at once, but when I pause one, it pauses all of them, and vice-versa. I'm not sure if this is a settings or config issue. I've tried disabling all extensions, and the issue persists. It's frustrating having the background music pause every time I have to pause a lecture to write some notes down.

There is a preference "media.gmp-widevinecdm.visible" When it is set to true we can see the Widevine addon in Add-ons and Themes. When Firefox is close the setting reverts to false and the addon is no longer visible.

Is this expected behaviour?

We cannot get Netflix to play DRM content. We are currently getting the UI3012 error. We updated the prefererence "media.gmp-widevinecdm.force-chromium-update".

I don't have a netflix account so I can't test on my PC, but setting the above preference on my PC and visiting netflix.com seems to be enough to trigger the installation of Widevine, as I have a folder called;

F:\Users\Tanya\Profiles\ownri05i.default\gmp-widevinecdm\4.10.2891.0

On my PC.

My brother, who is the one experiencing the issue, says he does not have the gmp-widevinecdm folder in his profile folder. However, before updating the force update preference he was getting the F7701-1003 error which changed to UI3012 after setting that preference.

The problem started when I updated his PC from a very old Windows 10 21H2 patch level (2486), to the current 21H2 patch level 5854 and updated Firefox 115.9.1 to Firefox 128.11.0

Will look into OS version upgrades later in the year, but for now I'd like to get Netflix working again.

Hello Team, I am having issues with Mozilla Firefox and Nightly Browser sound. If I use another browser, the sound is perfect. I have been using Firefox for years now and am accustomed to it, as well as Nighty, for all browsing needs.

I am a multiple year subscriber and wanted to watch game 6 before going to work (it is around 6 am over here) but the player isn´t running and it states that games can not be played, even the recap doesn´t start. Other videos are running as on youtube and other social networks. I switched a VPN from location germany to location USA to off but nothing works. I am using the newest version of mozilla firefox.

Can you give me some help what I can watch in order to watch the last two Finals games as well?

hi for some reason twitch.tv or some other websites will no longer play videos on my pc and i have no idea why, firefox works fine on my laptop

I recently updated my Firefox browser to the latest version, 138.0.1 (64-bit), on Windows.

After the update, I noticed that when playing videos in fullscreen mode (for example, on YouTube or other video websites), the Windows taskbar (the bar at the bottom of the screen with the Start menu icon) does not hide automatically. This is affecting my fullscreen viewing experience.

Before updating to version 138.0.1, the Windows taskbar would hide correctly when entering fullscreen video.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar issue with the Windows taskbar not hiding, or if there are any suggested solutions to help resolve this problem.
