Windows 11 Pro - Dell XPS8940 desktop - i9

Firefox will not play video from a website. If I save the video, it is a MP4 file. Windows Media Player and VLC will play the video file. But the browser shows the message: "No video with supported format and MIME type found."

Chrome and Edge will play this video correctly in their browsers. Firefox will not play the video on 3 different computers, and even when a different user account is involved (without Firefox sync).

The evidence seems to point at firefox. The website is a Wordpress site.

Is it possible that the website is the problem? If so, why do Edge and Chrome work?

I uninstalled Firefox (latest version) and reinstalled it. Not fixed.

My windows updates are current, as are Dell updates.

This is stumping me. I hope someone can help.

After loading the latest update @ least 2 websites stopped displaying content linked to X. Theres a message that the content is blocked. After giving permission to display X the video & audio crashes immediately crashes for that story. I had to turn off enhanced protection to get the content to display like it did yesterday. Is this some kind of deep state suppression of X? What ever is going on I want yesterday back and I'm not inclined to accept future versions or updates.

После последнего обновления, заметил, что в полноэкранном режиме перестала пропадать панель задач вондовс10. В других браузерах хром, яндек, тор, опера, проверял, - все работает корректно. Проблема только в мазиле. Перезагрузка проводника, перезагрузка браузера, компьютера и т.д не помогает.

So I'm having a small issue with the volume slider on youtube. The gray bar that indicates volume is about 1% of the size it should be (Please see attached image). It functions fine but bothers me enough that I've contacted support. I've opened it in safe/troubleshooting mode and the issue persists, and there in no issue on chrome. Any help would be appreciated, thanks ^_^.

I am in desperate need of Audio for a Virtual Interview for a dream job, yet I cannot get my Audio to work. Please help me on this soon.

After updating firefox from 128.8.0 to 128.9.0, no embedded videos will play (youtube, instagram, plex, etc...)

The only way to get them to play is to run the browser in troubleshoot mode. Even a fresh browser profile doesn't work. Disabling hardware acceleration also does not work. Tried firefox 137.0.2 and that also does not work. Downgraded back to 128.8.0 and videos play flawlessly again.

I'm running firefox on gentoo linux on a thinkpad x13s (arm64) which uses Qualcomm Adreno 690 graphics.

Anything I should try would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am using Firefox on gnome desktop on the PureOS variant of Debian. About three days ago, I went to listen to my Spotify playlist on Firefox, not through the Spotify app. I had no sound, checked my system settings and turned the volume for Firefox from zero back up to normal. The rest of the song played, but when the next song came on, again no sound. I watched the sound settings and when the song finishes, Firefox disappears from the sound settings list. When the next song starts, Firefox is back in the list but volume is set back to zero. I suspect this may be something in gnome, but I thought I would check here in case anyone else is seeing this issue. Thanks so much for any help or at least a shoulder to cry on :D

Viewing twitch.tv/ IRL streaming, all channels, I've clicked the Twitch player Full Screen, in full screen view, when an AD starts on the streamers' channel, full screen is disabled to minimize and I can see my entire desktop. This never happened over the last 10 years, just began in the last days, I believe after the latest Firefox update.

Hello. Recently I noticed the following problem. When opening some sites where there are videos or broadcasts, I use the mouse wheel to open the necessary videos or broadcasts in new tabs. The situation is as follows. If you slowly open several tabs, for example 5, and then go to them, then you need to click "play" in the video/broadcast center to make the video work. HOWEVER, if you open the tabs (also 5 or more) and switch to them immediately, the video will start automatically. Previously, this was the case when adding several tabs with videos, and after switching to them, the video immediately opened. Not anymore. I didn't change anything in the settings anywhere, I checked both on the PC version of the browser on 133... and on the latest 138... I disabled all add-ons and gave permission for auto-playback of audio and video in the site settings. I would like to point out that this is a problem on many websites. For some, everything works as before. I also note that I reinstalled the browser with a complete cleanup. The hardware on the PC is good

Здравствуйте. Последнее время заметил следующую проблему. При открытии некоторых сайтов, где есть видео или транляции, колесиком мышки открываю нужные видео или трансляции в новых вкладках. Ситуация следующая. Если не спеша открыть несколько вкладок, например 5, после перейти к ним, то нужно нажать в центре видео/трансляции "плей", чтобы видео стало работать. НО, если открыть вкладки (так же 5 или более) и сразу же переключаться на них, то видео будет автоматически стартовать. Раньше так и было при добавлении нескольких вкладок с видео, а после переключения на них, видео сразу открывалось. Теперь - нет. В настройках ничего нигде не менял, проверял как на версии браузера для пк на 133..., так и на последней 137... Отключал все дополнения, в настройках сайтов давал разрешение для автовоспроизведения аудио и видео. Хочу отметить, что такая проблема на многих сайтах. На некоторых же всё работает как и раньше. Также отмечу, что переустанавливал браузер с полной очисткой. Железо у пк хорошее, озу 32 гб. Никогда проблем такого рода не было. Прошу помочь с решением проблемы.
