I am using FF desktop. All of a sudden, I get no sound through my laptop speakers when trying to watch videos (on YT and FB for example). I still get sound if I use external speakers through the 3.5" jack. I still get sound through other browsers, no matter if it's through the laptop speakers or external ones. So, it is definitely an FF problem. Sound works fine on all other media files on the laptop. Refreshing FF didn't fix it. Nor did reinstalling or restarting the laptop. I tried changing the autoplay settings as suggested in the help article, but still no laptop audio via FF. How can I fix this? Thanks

I have Win 11 dell computer that does not play or pick up sound from web sites videos .I checked and tested my sound using the Microsoft platform & buy playing a disc. It works OK

So I'm having a small issue with the volume slider on youtube. The gray bar that indicates volume is about 1% of the size it should be (Please see attached image). It functions fine but bothers me enough that I've contacted support. I've opened it in safe/troubleshooting mode and the issue persists, and there in no issue on chrome. Any help would be appreciated, thanks ^_^.

When I play YouTube videos in Firefox, the video stutters and drops frames, even when set to 480p. The audio continues to play normally. This issue does not happen in Chrome on the same laptop.

The problem started about a week ago. I’m using Firefox on Windows 11. Restarting Firefox did not resolve the issue. I’ve attached screenshots for reference.

YouTube videos encoded at 60 frames per second are extremely choppy in Firefox only. Microsoft Edge plays the same videos perfectly.

And oh wonder - immediately, instantly with the change, the video starts playing. If I wait for this - without doing anything myself, it sometimes takes 30 - 40 seconds for the video to start ... sometimes it just "hangs" ... This is extremely annoying - if it doesn't work, I have to switch browsers... What is also extremely annoying is that it occurs almost regularly after an update ... until the next one possibly, for unknown reasons, does not fix the error, but sometimes mitigates it. Now, however, the disruption/interruption is so massive and totally annoying that I'm thinking of switching. I'm just tired of it ...

I've noticed that whenever I press ⌥⇧Space (option-shift-spacebar) in Firefox Developer Edition, it causes the page to refresh.

This behaviour seems to be consistent across devices.

Is there a way to change/disable this behaviour? It is very inconvenient, as it often causes me to accidentally trigger a page refresh when I type an em dash (`—`) in a text input (opt-shift-dash, and then type a space character after it, I'm very likely to hit opt-shift-space by mistake 🙈).

How do I turn Firefox audio back ON?

When I load the video the page loads like normal, all comments and everything is there except the video square is not there. cant see the video, anyhow. even if i move my mouse cursor on it on the start page, the little video wont play the preview. no video player at all. anywhere.

After updating firefox from 128.8.0 to 128.9.0, no embedded videos will play (youtube, instagram, plex, etc...)

The only way to get them to play is to run the browser in troubleshoot mode. Even a fresh browser profile doesn't work. Disabling hardware acceleration also does not work. Tried firefox 137.0.2 and that also does not work. Downgraded back to 128.8.0 and videos play flawlessly again.

I'm running firefox on gentoo linux on a thinkpad x13s (arm64) which uses Qualcomm Adreno 690 graphics.

Anything I should try would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
