I have used Firefox for many years and have one chosen color for all visited links. Since the latest automatic update to 125.0.1 a few days ago, the color for all visited links on the New York Times reverted back to the default color rather than my chosen one. My color was erased from all links. Now, in all sections, some of the clicked on links (articles) show my chosen color but many others do not change when I click on them. It has nothing to do with my settings as other sites show my color on all visited links. It seems to be an issue unique to the NYT's. I would appreciate any advice for you may wish to inform them? Thank you very much.

The RAM usage increases, from 1GB to 40GB+ within a matter of minutes of starting Firefox. I have not added any extensions in months. I turned of several with no improvement. I have 6 tabs opened. Firefox has crashed several times the past couple fo months. I have been away on travel for 2 weeks, and today the problem is much worse.

Firefox (37916) 51GB, Extensions (34308) 370MB, GPU (33072) 298MB , and everything else < 100 MB.

I really love Firefox - use across my 4 devices. Only on my desktop am I seeing this. Laptop, iPad, and Android all work fine. Running Win 11

Hi there, I have noticed that my Win11 Asus laptop is always short on RAM (16GB available), with Firefox taking up a significant amount even with only a few tabs open.

As you can see by the attached image, when I go to 'about:processes' it shows that GPU processes alone are taking up nearly 1GB of memory, with the only tab running being the 'about' page. I only have 6 extensions (uBlock Origin, Zotero, Containers etc) none of which are meant to be RAM intensive.

What are these GPU processes that are running, and how can I reduce the memory used by them?

Thank you.

Concurrent with the most recent automatic windows update (may or may not be the problem), Firefox with duck-duck-go will not go to almost any site. All I get is a spinning icon or a blank page, not even any error messages. This was even true trying to go to this page until I restarted in trouble shooting mode. Until I can get Firefox working again I have been using Chrome with duck-duck-go. Note any search, i.e. 'hotels in Italy' or even 'MSN' do the same: spinning icon or blank page!! Any help would be appreciated. Also I noticed that my bookmarks were missing and there was no bookmarks drop-down on my tools line. I have run malware bytes and it showed clean, same with CCleaner. I have re-installed Firefox; no difference. Please help. and also, any way to find and replace my extensive bookmarks list? I have reduced my privacy to near zero and turned off firewalls and all limits I could find while testing for that. That did not change anything.

Whenever I go to youtube, it fails to work and leaves an error in the console similar to

Uncaught Error: Constructing ytd-app: [Exception... I've determined that I can fix the problem by deleting my Firefox profile. I'd prefer to avoid this since there's a lot of useful history there. Is there a more targeted fix the problem I'm seeing?

Hi,

Occasionally when downloading files on Firefox, they'll freeze completely (often at the very end.) There is no way to pause or cancel the downloads, except to restart Firefox.

When I attempt to restart Firefox, it closes the browser window. However, when I try to reopen it, I get an error message stating that Firefox is running but not responding. The 'Close Firefox' option does nothing, except make the box pop back up a moment later.

I can't kill the Firefox process in Task Manager or Process Explorer, because it says access is denied. I can't kill it using taskkill in command prompt because it says there is no running instance of the task.

The ONLY thing that seems to help is completely restarting the computer, which is getting frustrating to do several times a day.

I can confirm Firefox is up-to-date. Any tips are appreciated, thank you!

My firefox browser is controlled by an organization and I don't beong to an organization.

I can't delete certificates that have authorization to change, block, reroute, access my computer hard drive, you name it. Certificates that I do remove immediately reappear.

The authority certificates are from China, Russia, and many untrustworthy locations.

It happens in Firefox focus on my Android, Firefox on my computer and it appears the spyware has access to my hard drive and phone.

How do I fix this, and can you remove this organizarion from controlling my browser?

Thank you,
