I can select the video on the thumbnail and then the thumbnail says playing but nothing is happening. No video and no audio. Videos on all other sites work normally

Can you please assist with the following download issue?

Firefox often, though not always, is very slow to download files, and when this occurs, I am unable to search by others tabs etc. I can download the same file using Edge on the same computer "instantaneously". Firefox returns to normal operation ~ 10 seconds after I cancel the download.

I unsuccessfully attempted to search for solutions.

I have recently built myself a new computer and started running MS Windows 11.

I have a problem with Mozilla Firefox, where after a few days of being installed it takes 10 seconds or more to load (or to load subsequent new windows). It also takes a long time to switch from window to window or to close any windows. Opening and swapping between tabs is immediate.

Here is what I have tried:

- Switching off hardware acceleration. - Clearing the cache, deleting all other data and uninstalling the single add-on I use. - Creating a new profile. - Using Mozilla's own "Refresh Firefox" option. - Trying the beta version. - Probably some other stuff that I've forgotten about.

The ONLY way I can get things running at the proper speed again is to completely uninstall Firefox using an uninstaller (that also deletes all the registry entries), restart the computer, and then reinstall Firefox.

After setting things back up the way I want, Firefox will run nicely for a number of days, then will slow down again to the point where I have to uninstall and reinstall (whilst also deleting the registry entries).

It doesn't seem to make any difference whatsoever whether the computer has or hasn't been restarted during that time.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Since the last two Firefox updates currently have 136.0.2 (64-bit) "Open link in new tab" has been doing weird stuff like.... 1) it will open the link in a new tab BUT also opens the link in the already open tab giving me two open pages the same. Kind of defeats the option of "Open link in new tab". 2) trying to highlight text is not as simple as it once was. Left click before the text hold then drag, sometimes it starts then the blue highlight box just disappears or jumps to a different part of the text and sometimes nothing at all happens. 3) the mouse has been playing up as well since the last two Firefox updates, click the x in a tab to close the tab nothing happens and it is not as accurate there was a sort of margin to where the pointer had to been before the command worked not right on whatever you wanted the pointer to operate now it has to be as accurate as possible before it recognizes the command as the x to close a tab ect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse and drivers still happens. A still image would not really show the problem I need a video but I don't know how to do that and could I upload it? Videos will not play in firefox. They will play in safari. I tried clearing cache and settings to allow websites to auto play video and sound. Nothing is working. It says I have the latest version of firefox. HELP!
